We stayed at Villas El Encanto for two week and loved it. We had a small one bedroom unit with our own kitchen. The other buildings have a shared large kitchen for your use. Ana, our hostess, is a warm and friendly hostess as are her sons Martin and Sebastian--it's a family affair. Ana has rescured several dogs and if you like dogs, and we do, it was great coming home and being greeted each day. There are also 5 peacocks. You get a jungle feel but close to town. The location is very convenient. The Villas are half a block in from Melgar, the main road. It's a15 minute walk into town and about 10-25 minutes to good beaches depending on what you are looking for. Money Bar is great for snorkeling; Paradise Beach for touristy beach vegging with nice facilities and beautiful grounds. Eat at Kinta and Kondessa...lots of great food everywhere. Best coffee & breakfast at Coffee Bean and Jeanie's. Blue XT for diving. Best to rent a car. Wish they had public transportation around the island as the taxi's have a union and don't want you to share cabs so it gets pricey. Great vacation in Cozumel. We'll be back.
