Description from the owner
While many vacation rentals offer smaller accommodations at reduced prices; Casa Colonial combines spacious accommodations wth the feel of Old Colonial Mexico. Our home away from home offers a full list of amenities without the price tage!
Our exterior amenities include an extra large and lush tropical garden which encircles a full sized swimming pool, and Jacuzzi. The garden is always manicured with fresh fruit trees and exotic plants in abundance. Humming birds visit daily to drink fresh nectar from the many flowers. Our large emerald green iguana (affectionately named Harmou) is also a rare and exciting visual treat.

Elizabethtown, PAPerfect place in paradise!

My wife, Marla, and I just returned form two weeks at Casa Colonial. We have been vacationing in Cozumel for many years. I found Casa Colonial by accident on a web search in 2000 when Bob and Sarah opened for business. From our very first visit "Bob and Sarah” made us feel at home. From the first time there we always felt safe in the area and the property is always in beautiful condition upon arrival. We visit at least once a year and over the years they have upgraded the amenities year after year. Compared to other locations on the island Casa Colonial is always ahead of the curve!! Sarah always updates us with what's new and gives us the right information on all local spots. We always love seeing all the turtles in the garden not to mention the "iguanas”! We love going to the "Lobster House” on each visit for the "best lobster anywhere”! Also enjoy the pleasure of visiting another restaurant nearby called "El Pique”! No matter where else we may travel, Marla and I are always looking forward to our next vacation at "Casa Colonial”! Thanks for everything Bob and Sarah

First I'd like to say, Sarah is a lovely host. She was so helpful and attentive. I read about Casa Colonial on this site. It was everything and more, The property is lovely and well maintained. We were a group of 17 ladies and consumed all of Casa! The island of Cozumel is simply awesome! we mostly walked into town ( about 9 blocks) 15 min walk. You do need a taxi to beach areas. usually a 5.00 ride. We visited the square on Sunday and watched the locals dance in the evening. It was excellent! Cozumel is so friendly and safe! no problems walking anywhere. Foods is very affordable and delicious! Some of the places we visited where; Paradise Beach, noname beach bar, we visited pleasure island tour, we took ferry to playa del carmen and taxied to akumal to beach it and swim with the turtles...Incredible. We also hired by Sarah to taxi us around the island> Again awesome! tequila tour stop, cocun uts, reggae bar...oh boy what fun!!! Cant wait to come back!!! Thanks Sarah!!!

With my husband in and out of the country for deployments it was high time for a much needed family vacation. From the time we walked into the gates at Casa Colonial till the time we left we felt welcomed and at home. The property is beautiful and Sarah is great at giving you all the right info on local spots so you don't get caught up in the tourist traps. Our favorite restaurants were El Pique on avenida 30th--cheap and fabulous!! And La Cocay between Calle 8th and 10th--**try the french toast**!!
The turtles at the villas were almost like having our dogs around-which made the kids happy. Not to mention the beautiful garden where "Harmou" the iguana lives by the pool. My kids have missed Casa Colonial since we left, Sullivan (my son) asks about the turtles all the time and McKayla already wants to know when we're going back. After seeing the other options of where to stay on the island and after staying at Casa there would be no other option for me. Casa Colonial was perfect!!! -

San Francisco, CAPerfect!

Get away from all the tourists pouring off the cruise ships onto Cozumel these days and have a truly wonderful and unique island experience. Walk out the door of your own tropical oasis and onto the real streets of Cozumel surrounded by natives, fantastic food at reasonable prices, and not a souvenir shop in sight! If you're looking for Cancun style high rise hotels and burnt tourists - they are right off the piers. If you want to really really get away and experience Cozumel like it used to be (and still can be, if you know where to go) go and visit Bob and Sarah at Casa Colonial. You're about to make some new best friends!
From the moment you walk in the front gates and pick your jaw up off the floor after seeing the beautiful gardens, these guys take your hand and let you know where to go, what to see, and better yet - where to avoid! They've been living there for quite a while and know the island inside and out. We've been back to the island a number of times and they always have the latest word on what's new and hot and what's not worth it anymore. If you just want to lay around in a hammock all day, they have that covered too! Times change but Casa Colonial, Bob and Sarah are always the bomb!
