The pretty village of Westhope is in South Shropshire’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is particularly picturesque. The Stables was originally built in the 19th Century and has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for groups of up to 6 people; perfect for large families or a group of friends. It retains much of its original charm, through features such as original exposed beams and trusses, yet has been decorated in a modern, though complementary style. There are gardens to the front and rear of the property; the one at the rear has garden furniture and barbeque facilities that offer fantastic opportunities for a sp...ot of summer dining. The cottage is situated close to a number of local walks and there is parking for up to 2 cars.

Amenities: Oil central heating. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 4 x TVs (one with Freeview), DVD, CD player etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable bike storage. Enclosed garden with patio, garden furniture and BBQ, large front patio, access to 200 acres of farmland, grassland and woodland. Two well-behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 6 miles, pub 3 miles.

Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: The area is ideal for those who enjoy walking or cycling, especially as the Shropshire Hills can reward a little effort with sites of historical interest, such as the Iron Age hill-fort to be found at the summit of Long Mynd. The medieval market-towns of Ludlow and Church Stretton are about fifteen minutes away by car and offer you the chance to enjoy some of the best architecture in the county. Shrewsbury, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth are about thirty minutes away; Shrewsbury has been made familiar to us through the Brother Cadfael mysteries, but also offers modern-day spectacle in the forms of the Shrewsbury Flower Show and the famous Shrewsbury Folk Festival, when the hills do come alive with the sound of music.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Very comfortable accomodation, well equipped. Very much off the beaten track in lovely country side. Negotiating the narrow lanes has to be done with care. Within reach of many attractive towns and villages. The only caution is the twin bedded room is small, more suitable for children than adults.

  Wonderful Westhope

  This property was a real luxury find for a very
  reasonable price. Top quality property with every
  amenity you could want or need on holiday.
  Beautiful, tranquil setting with so many fantastic
  sites to see very close by. The farm is lovely and it
  was really nice to sample the eggs (and cakes). The
  owners could not have done more to make our stay
  memorable, very warm and welcoming. An absolute gem
  and very highly recommended.
