If beautiful views, amazing natural beauty, and relaxation is what you're looking for, this is the place to visit. We, (me, my husband and 3 kids) stayed at the "River House" for a week and we are hooked! It was all that we hoped it would be and more. The house was completely stocked with anything you may need, from the linen to the kitchen, nothing was lacking. Every kitchen utensil was provided, there was fire wood, charcoal, books and movies. We enjoyed bbq'ing in the back yard, s'mores around the fire pit, playing board games, ping pong and horse shoes. The drives to town and to the State Parks are just a few minutes away. The beaches are amazing! We saw star fish, seals and sea lions, fished the Klamath and Smith Rivers, as well as the ocean off the pier, and of course the Redwoods, words can't describe the beauty of these trees, pictures don't capture the feeling of standing under these awesome wonders! The rental process was seamless and Sue was more than helpful with any questions that came up. My family loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back!

We loved the house and the backyard.View is beautiful, you can see river from almost all the rooms in the house. We couldn't really swim in the river because the weather was not cooperating, it was cool and cloudy most of the week, but we waded and crossed to the other side one day,water was very pleasant, not too cold.Backyard is very peaceful and relaxing,we had cofee at the deck overlooking redwood trees, berry bushes and beautiful river every morning. We used the firepit most nights, owners provided plenty of wood and fire starter. House is very comfortable, beds are great, kitchen is well equipped with lots of extras, like spices, condiments, etc.Location is great, close to ocean and great hiking. Don't miss Howland Hill Rd and Whaleshead beach and its forest trail.Too bad we couldn't stay longer. Definitely worth almost 8 hour drive, gorgeous area to visit.

If your looking for a vacation home with a beautiful view of the Smith River this is it! You can have coffee in the morning looking over the river from your kitchen and enjoy the scenery from every room. The property has a new deck, great fire pit (we used it most nights)and a horsepit that entertains for hours. The home is well decorated and perfectly comfortable. The beach, redwoods and restaurants are within just a few minutes drive. This is going to be a yearly rental for our family and we're already starting to plan for next years' trip.
