Description from the owner
This is a genuinely ski-in/ski-out condominium with spectacular views in The Buttes condos above the Red Lady lift and base area. It is three units from the slope. Note that the ski path in (though not out) is probably intermediate.
You can see the mountains and the valley as you eat at the kitchen table, and watch the skiing and the Butte from the living room, deck, and other rooms. With the views and the skiing access, you don't even feel that you have left the slopes when you take a break for lunch.

Above the Mt Crested Butte base area, you can ski down to the Red Lady lift or ski in from a little side trail off of Houston. If you are unfamiliar with Crested Butte for skiing you are in for a real treat. It has terrific uncrowded slopes for all levels, and the friendliest operators you can imagine.
There are great things at the base area. Our favorite place to eat is the Avalanche, and there is a Camp 4 Coffee (possibly the best coffee in North
America) at Mountaineer Square. Between us and the base area is The Bakery, so you can pop out for a breakfast brioche pretty much in your pajamas.
Summer in Crested Butte is carpeted with wildflowers, and home to hikers, mount bikers, music festivals.
The town runs a free frequent shuttle bus from the resort's base area to the town of Crested Butte, which has maintained its charm throughout the development of the ski area. It also has an amazing array of truly top notch restaurants.
The whole thing is nestled at the edge of the Gunnison National Forest, which you can explore through guided tours both in Winter and Summer or explore on your own. (Obviously you had better know what you are doing if you explore it on your own in Winter.)
