A wonderfully warm welcome, including a delicious lemon drizzle caked, baked the morning of our arrival. Our host gave us a very thorough guided tour of his immaculately clean cottage. Mum, wheelchair bound, was able to access everything, but particularly loved the huge entrance foyer. Registered blind, she actually found it possible to perceive things outside from there. Derbyshire people for many a year, we were looking to be somewhere to access Derby, family wedding!, as well as the beauty spots of Buxton, Bakewell and surrounding areas. It fitted the bill perfectlyand we had dry weather too. Unfortunately I damaged the clothes line, putting too much weight on it, but the owners were very understanding and said they'd deal with it.
All in all it was a gem of a find. The ensuite facilities were arranged unusually, which made life a bit difficult for Mum, and the gravel access was a bit difficult for her wheelchair, but we all had a really good stay and hopefully will have occasion to book again!

This is a lovely cottage in Crich where the series Peak Practice was filmed. The cottage was very clean and had everything in it you would need on holiday including a washing machine, iron and all cooking utensils.
There was a tram museum literally around the corner which was worth a visit for an afternoon. We visited Matlock and Bakewell and alton Towers was about an hour away in the car.
The people who owned the cottage were very nice and friendly and we were made to feel very welcome with a bottle of wine and home made cake waiting for us on arrival.
We had a very pleasant week and would recommend this cottage to anyone who wishes to have a quiet and comfortable break.
