The directions to Locherlour Mill Cottage were very good and it was easily found. Joanne was an excellent hostess, she filled us in on all the local amenities, what to see and where to go.For walkers this location is heaven sent, there are lots of local walks and a munro to 'bag' just eight miles away at the side of Loch Earn. The accomodation was excellent, Joanne had thought of everything, the kitchen was lacking for nothing, the bed was comfortable and the showers worked very well. The only comment I would like Joanne to consider, instead of having two shower rooms could one not be made into a bathroom ? When we have been on a long ramble I do like a soak in the bath. Read more

Good service, very pleasant cottage in an accessible area. Within one hours drive of spectacular scenery with good walks locally. Unfortunately marred by the lack of privacy, being within the courtyard of the owners house with the only light for the bedroom via an external door. Rather dark sitting room and sadly no view. Two lovely shower rooms, however no bath for those who like a soak after a strenuous day. Read more
We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at this very popular property.
We have discussed the issues raised directly with the owner and can now provide the following comments.
The cottage gives guests privacy, peace and quiet with their own entrance, parking area and courtyard where you will find stunning south facing views. Guests also have the use of the owners large garden. Unfortunately, as this cottage is attached to the owners property, complete privacy is not possible. The owners ensure that they park their car at the bottom of the property so there is no need to go past the cottage unless it is to gain access to the dustbins or washing line.
Lights are provided in the bedroom, both ceiling and bedside lamps. The door is large so a lot of natural light does enter the room this way.
The sitting room may be considered by some dark, but guests seem to expect this if staying in a converted old mill. However, the owner has now provided new lights for this area.
I can confirm that this property does not have a bath and is only advertised as having showers.
We hope that these issues did not detract from your stay in Scotland and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
