We stayed in the above lovely cottage for 4 nights and it was beautiful. We had no problems or issues. The cottage was very clean comfortable in every way with all the facilities you need.
There where no shops in the village, but there where plenty of places to shop in like appleby-in-westmoreland nearby.
The location was very nice with lots of lovely walks around the village. Would recommend it to friends also considering to go back next year, as enjoyed it very much. My 7 year son loved it as well.

The house is in a quiet rural location. We saw a red squirrel in the garden. Crosby Ravensworth is a pleasant village with walks along a little river. It has a friendly community-run pub and we also found good value pubs in some of the neighbouring villages.
The house is very well equipped and the free broadband worked well. We were very warm and able to dry wet gear easily. We had some difficulties with the hot water, but we have spoken to the owner since our return and are confident that he will get a heating engineer to solve the problem very soon.
We rented the house mainly as a base for hill walking and happily found it was only a short drive both west to the Lake District (Ullswater and Haweswater) and east to the Howgill and neighbouring fells.
A nice cottage

A nice clean well appointed cottage in a very friendly village. No mobile signal in the house, but alternatives were available. The people at the local community owned pub were friendly and their meals are excellent. The cottage is on the edge of the Lake District and it made a good jumping off point for us to explore the area. A car was esential if only for food shopping. However, a community village shop, next to the pub, is planned for later this year.
Peaceful, clean, lovely accomodation

Fantastic base, away from the bustle of Keswick and Kendal but close enough to everything the Lake District has to offer, Highly recommended. Owner lives next door and couldn't be more charming or helpful.
