Description
Calicaribe is a modern, fully air conditioned , hill top villa located just outside Cruz Bay, on the island of St. John, US Virgin Islands.
The home features sweeping views of the Caribbean sea, with St. Thomas and many uninhabited out islands on the horizon. The western orientation allows for beautiful sunsets each evening. At night, the lights of St. Thomas twinkle in the distance. During the day, the impressive water views include the sights of sail boats, mega yachts, and tall ships as they navigate the crystal waters of Pillsbury Sound and beyond.
The home offers three bedrooms, each with a private bath and secluded outdoor balcony. The main villa consists of a great room, full kitchen, office, master bedroom and master bath . The second bedroom and bath is located across the pool deck. The lower apartment includes a kitchen, living area, and a bedroom and bath.
The villa is nicely appointed with mahogany furniture and comfortable beds. Original art from respected Caribbean artists is displayed throughout the home. All of the modern baths feature custom limestone floors and walls, with beautiful glass sinks and mahogany cabinets .
The house has a modern,central air conditioning system which cools the entire home. Control devices are in each room. The great room has large glass and mahogany sliders , which capture the beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and provide total security.
Calicaribe is situated on a private one acre lot, which is heavily landscaped with tropical trees and plants. While offering complete privacy, the home is just outside Cruz Bay, very close to dining and shopping, and minutes from the fabulous North Shore beaches.This convenient location makes for easy trips to and from the home, as you travel to town or to the many nearby beaches.
The design of Calicaribe is the classic Caribbean "pod" configuration, which gives separation between all bedrooms, while also allowing easy access to the common pool and outdoor decks. The swimming pool is finished with beautiful glass tile, and is surrounded with a large deck area for sunning and relaxing.
Outdoor dining areas are located on the pool deck and on the covered veranda.Thses locations are furnished with attractive teak furniture,which make for ideal outdoor dining and socializing. The modern kitchen and outside grill will accomodate all your cooking needs, and the house is equipped with ample cookware and supplies. The home also features a large observation deck, with some of the best water views on St. John.
The home is easily accessed via paved roads, and is ideally located to visit town and the unspoiled beaches of St. John.The island is the "gem" of the Caribbean, with friendly people and two thirds of the island protected in the National Park system.
