25% of rental fee is due within one month of booking villa.

Remainder 75% is due 60 days before rental begins.

The 25% holding deposit is non-refundable.

Cancellations occurring 46-60 days prior to reservation incur a further 25% cancellation fee, and cancellations occurring 45 days or less from reservation date have no refund. If your canceled dates can be re-booked, then there would be a 75% refund. There are no refunds for late arrivals or premature departures. You may wish to obtain trip cancellation insurance.

  My new husband and I stayed at Softwinds for 10 days with our 'Brady Bunch' combined family (4 college kids!) and we fell in love with not only the villa, but the island of St. John. The home is perfect - high on the hillside with stunning views, above the noise and crowds, but only minutes from Cruz Bay, shopping and nightlife. We enjoyed the solitude, the privacy and very clean, well stocked home. There were plenty of bedrooms, incredible decks, a perfect, private pool and all of the comforts of home but in a breathtaking setting. We spent one day sailing and snorkeling, visited the various beaches of St. John, and even had massage therapists visit us in the home - massages for everyone while listening to the ocean waves. As my college aged daughter said in her note to us, 'thank you for the best vacation I have ever had'.

  Coming from the west coast for our first Virgin Island vacation, we weren't sure what to expect. We found that St. John was an excellent choice for wanting to get away from crowds, and that this Soft Winds villa exceeded our expectations for comfort, seclusion, beauty, and charm. On the edge of verdant national forest lands on St. John, it was yet accessible to restaurants and shopping in town. The caretakers met us at the ferry, took us to our rental car, and made sure we got comfortably settled. Our only mistake was cutting our vacation short to stop in Washington, D.C. for the Inaugural Ball. We regretted after the fact not having spent every last minute possible at Soft Winds.   My wife and I visited Soft Winds in May 2012 and it was our first trip to the Caribbean. We wanted a beach vacation, and we also wanted to avoid the crowds. Our experience at Soft Winds accomplished both of these ends!
  
  If you are looking for a quiet retreat in a beautiful place, look no further. Perched on the rocky cliffs several hundred feet above St. John's secluded beaches and the beautiful Caribbean Ocean, Soft Winds is one of St. John's best kept secrets. Stunning 360 degree views and unparalleled privacy are a few of the reasons why this home has so many repeat visitors according to the Visitor Log.
  
  As our boat pulled into St. John's harbor, the manager met us at the dock and was extremely helpful. She led us to Soft Winds, gave us a tour of the house and spent time giving us advice regarding places to snorkel, shop and eat. She also said that we should not hesitate to contact her if we had any questions.
  
  During our first few days, we totally decompressed and did not leave the house at all. Instead, we enjoyed the views, lounged by the private pool and cooked in the recently remodeled kitchen. Later in the trip, we dined at good restaurants in town, explored other beaches, sea kayaked, snorkeled and hiked through ancient ruins. We had the perfect vacation!
  
  In addition, despite Soft Winds' seclusion, it also gives you the option to stay in touch with the world through all of its modern amenities. It has good cell phone coverage, wireless internet, a beautiful and modern kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a grill. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, a blender and spices, so we cooked most of our own meals and ate on the deck overlooking the ocean. It was awesome!
