Stunning 6 bed property in the Luberon, Provence

A restored Provencal house, with heated pool, sleeping 12 in 6 bedrooms with 6 ensuite bathrooms, set in the heart of the beautiful Luberon National Park but only 5 minutes from the lovely village of Cucuron. Mas de la Boissiere offers the best of modern amenities combined with old provencal charm. Furnished to a very high standard, the house is perfect for families or groups of friends. It is 50 minutes from Marseille airport and Aix en Provence TGV or 50 minutes from Avignon airport.

The house has stunning views far reaching to Cézanne's Mont St Victoire to the south, the rugged Alpes des Haut Provence to the east and the peak of Mo...urre Négre, the highest point of the Grand Luberon to the north. The 10 acres of grounds are flanked by fields of wild flowers, vines and olive groves resulting in complete privacy.

The property comprises six large bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. Three of the rooms have super king-sized beds or can be made up as twins and the other three are kings. All bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard with antiques blended carefully with décor that is typically provençal. We can provide travel cots and additional beds for small children.

Walking through the front door, there is a wide and spacious hallway. To your right is the sitting room with a carved stone fireplace flanked by large, comfy sofas. It is a lovely light room with two sets of French doors opening east and south onto the parkland. Next door to the sitting room is the snug with satellite TV, DVD, and entertainment systems. There is also wireless broadband throughout.

West of the hallway is the dining room with its own log fire. Light and airy with French doors opening south to the parkland and north to the poolside make the dining room extremely versatile whatever the season. There is a large, spacious, and fully-equipped kitchen. You can experiment away with new found recipes or simply savour the aromas of Provence as we cook for you! Set in its own stone walled courtyard is the heated swimming pool. Kidney shaped, measuring 14 metres by six metres, this is a great place for the family to relax. The child-friendly shallow end is level, making it ideal for beginners or those of us who just want to sit and do nothing but bask in the sunshine. There is a shaded pool house for dining 'al fresco' outdoors. No matter what you choose you will be assured of warmth and views that are difficult to better!

Only a 5 minute drive from the village of Cucuron. Property within it's own grounds, walking or cycling direct from the house, up into the Luberon mountains. Golf courses within a 20 minute drive. Excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive.

  The property managers are most attentive and accommodating without intruding. The pool, the kitchen, the common living areas and bedrooms w/ en suite baths are superb. There is even a laundry facility in an adjacent building a dozen steps away. It is located just a couple of very walkable couple of kilometers outside of Cucuron. The walkers in our group walked into town most mornings to get fresh pastries for breakfast. A small grocery is in the same town that can supply most anything visitors might need. Be sure to book the property manager to prepare a multi-dinner for you at least one night. Be prepared for four hours of feasting conversation and culinary entertainment! His lamb roast, ratatouille, and potato dish and all the other sides are beyond delicious.
  
  Moreover, the villa is well located to do many day trips to nearby historical sites. Consult the manager for sites and villages to visit. He knows them all and they're excellent, though few if any guidebooks list them. Result: No tourists, except for you and your party. Knowing a fair bit of "tourist French" will be very helpful in these villages.

  Luxury in the Luberon

  We have had several wonderful holidays here with family and friends. It is a great place to relax and the local town of Cucuron is charming and unspoilt. Cycling to the boulangerie before breakfast is great fun and worth the effort! The housekeepers, Rene and Ulrike, are charming and always willing to help or advise. Ansouis and Lourmarin are nearby and definitely worth visiting.

  A beautiful house, fully equiped, with enough privacy and possibilities to be yourself. A nice distance from the village Cucuron. All the six bedrooms have private bathrooms and the house is nicely divided into two upstairs parts, meaning the (grand)children do not bother the (sometimes older) grandparents and uncles and aunts.
  Beautiful pool, nice and warm, great outside dining area.
  And very friendly caretakers.
