      Once again, a wonderful experience

Left on 04/18/2011 for a stay in April 2011

This was our second trip to Cuerna and staying here. It was so nice the first time, we thought we would do it again. I can't add much more to my previous review, other than it was just as good this time as it was the first time. I would like to add that I am not related to the owner, although I have met her. She is a very nice lady.

      Great location

Left on 08/21/2010 for a stay in January 2010

We arrived with our old VW camper van on a tow truck. This was a great location for getting our van fixed and exploring the beautiful city of Cuernavaca. We loved our stay here. It was also very easy to bus to other cities such as Tasco or Tepoztlan.

      Convenient for walks/taxis

Left on 08/11/2010 for a stay in July 2010

We made the right choice staying in the casita. Easy to walk to shops and restaurants, including a nice grocery store, dry cleaning, salons, computer store, banks/ATM, and coffee shops. Taxis parked around the corner from the house, and we could easily get around town for 30-50 pesos per ride.

The house was well-appointed with all dishes and linens. House has phone for making calls with TelCel credit - you can send and receive text and voice messages. Bedroom has shutters to darken room completely. Small balcony is nice for watching sunsets and mountain views. American style washing machine/dryer. Carol was very helpful with travel tips and suggestions.

Two cons: Bring earplugs, as we heard a few neighborhood parties and barking dogs. Internet was a little patchy, but they are working to improve the service.

      Good Value

Left on 08/10/2010 for a stay in February 2010

Our month in this charming casa was well worth it. Our hosts were more than helpful in guiding us through the city, arranging to take language classes, and helping us with our needs. The casa was very well equipped and centrally located to the language institute where we took Spanish classes.
