The location of The Beach House Culburra Beach is absolutely perfect, as is the house itself. There are large picture windows right across the back of the property giving completely unobstructed views of the beach and the headlands. We slept with the blinds up each night so that we could go to sleep looking at the stars and wake up to the most beautiful orange sunrises. We alternated between sitting on the back deck in the sunshine, gazing at the seaside vista, and then when it started to get a little cool, migrating into the living room where we continued to be entranced with the scene through the large windows. We weren't lucky enough to see dolphins or whales but maybe next time.
The house itself is very comfortable and homely. The furniture is in perfect "beach house" theme. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with all the gadgets and appliances you could want. It has a very large three way bathroom which would be extremely handy when travelling with a number of people. The bed was very comfy, as were the lounges.
The house is situated right on Culburra Beach, about half way between the two headlands. I think the beach is probably around 5 to 6 km's long and you can enjoy great walks in both directions. We had our 2 dogs with us and they thoroughly enjoyed their first seaside holiday. Being able to walk along the beach each day without having to make a trip in the car first was such a luxury. Just open the back gate, walk through the short area of sand dune and you're there.
I hope that this property remains available to rent for many years to come as I'm looking forward to many more relaxing seaside breaks. -

What a wonderful break we had at this great house. The location is perfect. So relaxing and we were fortunate to see whales every day of our stay. And it was a bonus that we could also share our holiday with our two little dogs who just loved it. The yard is so secure and we could relax without worrying about them. The house was so clean and had everything we needed and the good thing was that when the wind came up you could sit inside and still have that great view of the ocean. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back again. Thank you so much Helen. Your beach house is the best!

The Beach House certainly lives up to its name. The house is ideal for a beach holiday - well appointed, relaxing, right on the beach and it has incredible views (dolphin watching from the deck, anyone?). The beach is a short walk through the dunes following your own private path. The back garden, sand dunes and beach blended together seamlessly to provide the ultimate entertainment zone for the kids and one very happy dog. Culburra itself is a quiet little town, but has enough of what you need to have a great family holiday. All in all, a great beach house in a beautiful spot.

My daughter and I stayed just the one night here and it was perfect. We have stayed in the area many times before in a variety of locations and houses and this one is the best so far. Light and airy, super spacious, fantastic views from nearly every window. The direct beach access to what I think is the best beach in australia is its best feature. The beach stretches for miles and is pristine with real golden sand! Our 2 dogs, who also came with us, loved every minute of it. This is a prize place to stay and we will be back!

The Beach House certainly lived up to and exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect with the beach a few minutes walk away, and being lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the waves! Our two dogs loved the freedom of chasing the birds, and being able to run on the lawn and beach without leads.
The house was spotless on arrival, and contained evrything that we could possibly need.
We ate in most nights, but did try the Butter Factory restaurant which is about 15 minutes drive away.
We spent most days on the beach, but did travel to Hyams Beach, and to Canberra one day. All in all, a restful, wonderful break. I would recommend the house to everyone, families, groups and most importantly, dogs! -

Loved the property, the beach, the proximity to Jervis Bay (Callala Beach) - we had the best time on the beaches and in the water; it was all that you could ask for in that regard. If you are self contained and love having to cook on holidays (without having access to quality ingredients nearby) - fine. The only problem is that I prefer to have a location where there is at least one reasonable restaurant to go to at night because it is too hard to bring all the extra spices/ingredients/etc to cook properly on a short beach holiday - and Woolworths is the only food source here and is not my favourite fresh food venue!!! Culburra is a very disappointing in that regard for a place that has such a high resident population - but the property itself - very good!

We rented the Beach House for a weekend away with friends, and we will definitely be going back. The house is in the best location - right on the beach with spectacular views. It's a great size for large families or groups of friends, and is located on a lovely private lane right next to the beach. The town of Culburra is only a couple of minutes drive and has all local facilities that you need for a weekend away.

The location, the ambience, the dog-friendliness of the home and the access to Culburra beaches are all fabulous. We had a mixed group staying, from pre-schoolers to teenagers and young adults plus parents ...we all loved the view and the easy style of the cottage. Our only gripes would perhaps be that mattresses could be newer and some easy repair work needs to be done on fly screens. The bbq was a bit tricky in windy conditions...but that is to be expected. We are hoping to visit again next year (or sooner!)

Just to Keep you updated. The Flyscreens have been popped back in their tracks. This happens from time to time , we find that little people love to push on them & throw balls at the screens & they just pop out. We are in the process of upgrading the mattresses .
The BBQ was replaced on 21st Jan just after you were at the House. We now have a faster burn, fully covered unit that will take the salt & sea breezes .

Enjoyed walking along the beach, sunbathing and reading in the back garden with the ocean breeze and great views. Unfortunately my dog hated the water as the waves where bigger than him but he loved chasing the birds. Small town with not much happening so a great place to really get away from it all and cook all your favourite meals in the fully equipped kitchen or on the bbq. Woolworths is a short walk to away for all the supplies you could need. A place I would be happy to return to again.

Heaps of room for our larger family in this lovely home directly overlooking the beach. Great facilities for self-catering. Fantastic location where we could sit and enjoy watching the dolphins. We had a great stay and can't wait to visit this beautiful beach house again.

Dolphins, beach, sun and sand. The Beach House was an excellent retreat from the hustle of Sydney life.
Just over 2 hours from the CBD, we were very impressed by the professional management of the property, perfect layout and ease with which you can unwind.

I chose the Beach House due to its proximity to the ocean and was not disappointed - it's the best spot in Culburra.
We had such a relaxing and comfortable few days there and were thrilled to spot some dolphins on the last morning.
It was also amazing to lie in bed and watch the sunrise over the Pacific each morning. Would love to come back some time soon...

This house is sublime; beautiful location, immaculate, with a sloping lawn that leads down to the sea. I like the peace and birdsong the best, as well as the comfy vibe of the house. Amenities all great, and the it's very well equipped for little kids; bunk beds and heaps of play space. To Loved it.

We arrived with rain forecast for all 5 days (raincoats packed!)..and then had 5 days of bliss with sun blazing and surf rolling in.
Beach was perfect with great surf directly out the front of the house The kids (two 5 and one 3 years old) spent hours building sandcastles and jumping in the water. The house itself was very comfortable with a large well equipped kitchen and great open plan living and we loved the 'kid friendly front yard'. The rock pools at the end of the beach were also a hit with the kids. One of our best holidays ever with the kids, so thank you Helen..we will be back! -

Where is the perfect spot? Well, we found it. The Beach House at Culburra Beach was just perfect for us. We needed a place to get away from things and simply relax. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed, the view, the house, the beach, the great backyard and Helen's personal touches enabled us to forget about everyday life and have a great holiday together.

From the moment you walk in and look at the view you know you are on holidays! The house is perfectly equipped and beautifully presented to handle all your holiday needs, just walk in unpack and relax. The ability to be at the house and see the kids on their boogie boards at the beach was superb. The backyard was a great size to accommodate all our backyard cricketing and relaxing requirements. Many times we were able to look out the window and watch the dolphins swim past, a thing only possible with a breach front house. I can totally recommend to anyone that a stay at the Beach House makes for a great holiday. Also pay a visit to the Culburra butcher for some great BBQ meat!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at The Beach House at Culburra Beach. The views from the house are simply breathtaking to say the least which makes it a perfect holiday experience regardless of the weather. It's impossible not to relax as you listen to the calming sounds of the ocean from The Beach House. The house is exceptionally comfortable and is equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need and so much more! It was very hard to leave! Thank you Helen and Brad!

We have been to the Beach House Culburra many times. No matter what time of the year, winter or summer it is a magical place. Everything you need is at your fingertips from the well equiped kitchen to the beach that is right at your doorstep. There is nothing better than lying in bed watching the waves roll in or sitting on the verandah with a nice glass of wine. Our family can't wait to go back.

Outstanding property with all the comforts of home. It was clean, tidy and fresh and then there's the view/location. We were mesmerised just sitting outside and watching the glass like waves roll in. And the beach is at the back door.
The sunrises and dolphins cruising past were an additional bonus. We have stayed in several holiday homes and this ranks as the best yet! Thanks to the owners for the thought and effort that has gone into making this property such a pleasure to enjoy. We will be back!

What a fantastic beach house! We were looking to rent a holiday home on the beach for our family of 6 and dog- and we found the perfect place. We spent our mornings fishing from the beach and our afternoons relaxing on the back deck overlooking the beach with a glass of wine- absolute heaven. The accomodation was neat, clean & tidy with plenty of room for us all. We loved it so much we are going back in april. We highly recommended the beach house for a weekend escape!

From the moment you arrive and walk through the front door and take in the breathtaking view of the ocean from the lounge room you know you have arrived in heaven.
The Beach House is a truly magnificent place to stay. The house is great for kids and parents. We only had to bring the sheets and towels and everything else was supplied from beach buckets, balls to totem tennis.
The kids loved their own private little track down to the beach from the house and sit on the back deck eating ice-blocks watching the world pass in front of them.
I recommend this holiday house to anyone wishing to get away from it all and to sit back and relax.
