Description from the owner
Quiet, peaceful, and secluded, yet only a 3 minute drive to spectacular Zoni Beach and 10 minutes to town, our fully equipped and air conditioned 2 bedroom (new queen beds in each of the bedrooms) upper level flat is a welcome retreat from the hustle of typical resort settings or noisy in town settings. No airplane, car or people noises here! The wrap around couch in the living room reconfigures into a double bed which is more confortable than a convertible sofa bed. Tom runs a very good operation from showing the condo online exactly how we found it - clean, comfortable, very well equipped, great views and always a breeze! We never needed the air conditioner. Renting a car from him made the trip possible for us since we got to the island very late due to a ferry not running as scheduled. It was not a problem since Rogelio Soto was right there at the ferry dock with our car to lead us to the condo. Rogelio was very kind and helpful, always available to answer our questions.

Delightful! When can I return??
If you've read the listing and think it sounds perfect for your family...then it is! The description is extremely accurate - and if you get there and something from the amenities is missing, ask the caretaker and he will get it taken care of quickly. One amenity that I didn't see mentioned was the outdoors shower - great for getting that sand off before you track it on the porch and in the unit!
The property is clean and well-maintained - touch up painting had been done the day before. The caretaker quietly checks in on a daily basis.
Customer service from the owner and the caretaker - incredible! Prior to booking our trip (extended family of 7) we had some questions - emailed the owner and within minutes received email and phone call!! Prior to taking the trip wanted to make sure all was set...and contacted the caretaker - and within 24 hours had an email in return!
This property is for people who want quiet and solitude! The Zoni Beach is beautiful and was empty - the week of Christmas! By renting the vehicle we were able to get in to town within 15 minutes...we love to scuba dive, snorkel, read and relax!
Renting the vehicle is a must! Culebra roads...watch the potholes! -

Well it didn't get off to a very good start. When we arrived at the airport the caretaker was there to greet us but the existing vacationers handed him the keys to the vehicle which we also rented and stated there was no gas in it.Which we were told it was to be full and we were to leave it full. After spending about 2.5 hours at the beach we went back to the rental . Upon getting back the rental was partially cleaned so we finished cleaning and doing the laundry. Cell phone connection was very poor as the caretaker give us his no. and said that he would call when it was ready. We received no call and thats why we went back to the rental as your cell had to signal as well. There was a house at the bottom hill and it happened to be his mother so she called him and he stated he would be back in1/2 hr. which was more like 1 1/2 hrs When he did arrive back he gladly took us to town to buy grocery and beverages and showed us around. He stated that there was no gas on the island and supposedly it would arrive the next day which it didn't. After being there a day in half now with no transportation the caretaker took 1 of us to town and we ended up renting a car. Now as for the rental unit it was very modern. Then we had a problem with very little black bugs that bite. thousand of the little suckers they would come right thru the screen doors and in the air conditioners. This caretaker was retiring and a new one was starting on the 1st of Jan. He was informed of all the mishaps etc. He actually came and got the rental and put gas in it besides having to pump up 1 of the tires . .Upon departing the new caretaker had to meet us at the dock very early as we had to take the early ferry to tha mainland to make connections we had there. I sincerely hope the new caretaker has a better job then the first one we had but even though he was leaving he could have done a better job by us. We spent a lot of money on this vacation and things could have been better.

Great place to stay with those you love!
It was a leisurely 15 min. drive to town, 10 min to Flamenco Beach (voted as one of the world's 10 best). We had all the ammenities you could think of (ac, satellite TV, DVD player, fridge, range, washer, dryer, the works). Look at it as your home away from home.
Only missed our neighbor's barking dog at home all of our four night stay. Coquis sang to our delight every night cooled by the gentle ocean breeze. Did you say paradise? All the above at a price that can't be beaten. Two-thumbs up. Service was excellent and it turned out to be even more than what we expected. I shall return as Mcarthur said.
Thanks Tom for everything. It was pleasure to enjoy your company as well as your neighbor.
Dish network was down during our stay which came as a blessing because we were able to enjoy each other's company. "Forgot" our laptop at home so no internet although there was service (modem) available. Imagine 4 days without having to open your e-mail.
Time well spent with your loved ones is truly priceless. -

We are a young family and this was our first visit to Culebra. This house has it all. It was brand new, clean, fully stocked, and affordable. We enjoyed Bbqing on the balcony which has a great ocean view. The solitude and quietness was a unique experience since we are from the city. The countryside was virgin and beautiful, and we enjoyed even just hiking the areas around the house. The highlights were trips to Zoni Beach, just a few minutes away. This is a nature lover's paradise. The convenience of a washing machine, wireless internet, and Sat TV was a big plus.
