From the moment I arrived at the house I was impressed. The house was very well kept, everything you can possibly need conveiniently available in the house. It made for a very relaxing and very stressfree enviroment. The house is lovely and a home away from home. Alex gave us the best attention and helped for nice vacation. I forgot a couple of personal items at the house and alex helped me get them back after I arrived back in NY. thak you so much alex! I will be back :)

Atlanta, GAPerfect rental for large, laid-back group
Left on 04/29/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The house was excellent for our group of 6 couples. We all had our own space and there was plenty of living space inside and outside for socializing. Alex was very communicative and made the whole process easy and stress-free. The home itself is a little outdated, but fine for laid-back travelers who are more interested in the island and vacation, than an upscale resort. The price was very reasonable for such a cool, tree-house feel. We used the kayaks many times and could paddle around the cove and see the wildlife, especially all of the many starfish. We walked into town, but we also rented a golf cart and a mini-van which I would recommend for getting around as the beaches are very spread out. We enjoyed the town and all of the many beaches. For food, we would recommend Zaco's Taco and Heather's Pizza. For drinks, Dinghy Docks and MamaCita's. We loved snorkeling with the turtles and sting rays at Tamarindo Beach. Loved the ambiance at Flamenco, the sunset at Melones, and the views at Zoni. We would definitely come back to Villa Pelicano and Culebra!

We arrived soon after the new year looking for a change from San Juan. Culebra is beautiful and much safer than San Juan, so we could relax after our engagement. The villa was tranquil and well equipped, you only have to bring your food. It's clean and the staff are very friendly. The ocean was absolutely beautiful, and the island has many, many beaches. Next time, we want to bring friends and party!

Sterling, VirginiaVilla Pelicano Culebra-Back to Nature
Left on 04/09/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We stayed at Villa Pelicano for 4 nights. This is a large property/house with and upstairs rental and a smaller downstairs rental. We rented the bottom unit which included two bedrooms. One had a very comfortable Queen size bed and the other had a Queen or Full (not sure) and bunk beds. We are a family of 4 so we had plenty of room to spread out. There are 2 roomy closets to store bags etc. The bathroom is a Jack and Jill set up with doors on either side so both bedrooms have access to the bathroom. This is a great set up for parents with kids. There are also 2 aC wall units in each bedroom. All linens and towels are there for your use. The best part the bottom unit is where the washer/dryer are located so that was a nice bonus to wash and dry towels. I can't say enough about the owner alex...he is very helpful and goes above and beyond helping his customers. I locked us out of the unit and alex flew in to help us get back into the unit. My girls loved the dock and loved going out every morning to see the fish and dip their toes in the water. The kitchen and dining for this unit are outdoors. I did not cook but we did relax in these areas every morning and night and it was nice to be outside with nature. Bottom line this is a different kind of vacation. We usually go to high end hotels and have robes, room service, maid service etc, at our fingertips. On this trip I really feel like it was an adventure and we had an opportunity to connect with nature. The beaches on Culebra are the best in the world. I think if you go into this knowing it is an adventure and not a plush hotel you will be 100% satisfied. We ate breakfast across the street almost every morning at the Club Seabourne and there were several places to eat dinner each night. Things you need to make your stay at Pelicano happy. Beverages for the fridge, bug spray...remember you are outside w/nature, sunscreen, and snacks. You must rent a Jeep to get around. If you want to cook I think it could be fun but we didn't really have supplies to do that and Culebra is a bit limited w/grocery stores ( they don't have what I am used to in Va). The family's that stayed upstairs ( we had 2 different ones on our visit) were both nice and what I noticed is they were local to PR and came in their boats with lost of supplies. Seems like they were more prepared but if you are coming from another country and don't have a boat to transport the supplies you are stuck with what they sell on the island. Again...not a problem you just have to manage your expectations. Alex also helped us set up our flight to get from PR to Culebra and this was a fantastic way to get to the island...quick and it was fun. Note...there is also a TV in the main bedroom and there is internet connection. So although we were with nature we still had our computers, iPads, iPods and iPhones...Whew! Also...tons of ocean kayaks for unlimited fun on the water.

Boston, MAPerfect spot for a family vacation
Left on 02/26/2013 for a stay in February 2013
We rented Villa Pelicano for a week in Februaury. Culebra is a quiet and low key island with beautiful, uncrowded beaches. We saw the same people many times- it certainly was not overrun with tourists. Villa Pelicano was perfect for our family which included 7 adults and one infant. We rented the top portion of the house only and had plenty of space. Alex provided a pack and play and a high chair which were great. We loved the waterfront location and being able to kayak off the dock each morning. The kitchen was well stocked. The location is great- quiet but just a quick drive in to town or to the beach. We hope to return soon!

We loved that it's in a quiet area, safe and not too far away from town. We suggest jeep rental for inland excursions. Has a few very good restaurants & bars at walking distance. Located at a beautiful bay excellent for Kayaking. Well mantained, clean, spacious rustic property ideal for family with kids and dogs. As boat owners, the dock facilities are a mayor plus. Planning on returning next year.

DCRent the whole house - it's worth it
Left on 02/13/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This house if fantastic, especially if you can rent the whole thing. The downstairs is literally two bedrooms, a bathroom and a laundry room. There is no kitchen or sitting area, but, it guarantees access to a really fun outdoor kitchen and eating area where we spent 99% of our awake time. Bring lots of mosquito repellant because you will need it (paradise comes at a price) and bring a baby monitor if you are travelling with a baby because you will not be able to hear them from the outdoor kitchen area if they are sleeping inside.
The upstairs is really spacious and offers a break from the weather, should you get heavy rain and wind like we did, and from the mosquitoes. You can put kids to bed, close the hallway door, and hang out in the open floor plan living, dining, kitchen area. If someone else is renting the downstairs, you don't get access to the outdoor kitchen area, but there are still outside places to hang out, like the dock, a covered area right by the dock, the upstairs balcony, and the downstairs of the house, which has a great breeze and two wide hammocks.
During the two weeks that we were here the owner scheduled 3 days of maintenance jobs (1 day trimming trees, 2 days repairing a deck and hand rails, and a day replacing some items in the house). The noise related to the deck repair turned out to be a real buzz kill. We complained to the owner and he compensated us with a very generous credit to a local pizzeria. That certainly helped us forgive him for the noise and lack of privacy. :-) In the future I recommend that non-emergency work be scheduled when there are no guests, even if that means blocking days in the reservation calendar for maintenance work.
All in all, we had a fantastic time and would recommend this place to any of our friends.Response from Waterfront Villa Pelicano - 02/14/2013

Thank so much for your extended lodging with us and we look forward to your next visit. Repellant on the outdoors is necessary after the rains on our precious Island, smart to use it!! Its nice to hear our customers have such a great time on our extensive adjoining terraces on the Oceanfront, note: the outdoor areas are for all our guests to use, including the kitchen & bbq (except the outdoor refrig/freezer which pertains to our 2/bdrm unit guests). We're really sorry for the noise caused by the repairing of the deck, but it was in fact an emergency and for your own safety, and scheduled always after 10-11am so not to bother our guests while sleeping. Once again we thank you for posting your review and for allowing us to do unexpected shores needed for your convenience and that of all our guests. Kindest regards, Villa Pelicano Oceanfront.

Left on 02/07/2013 for a stay in January 2013
Summary: Basically, we spent 3 days trying to get the ferry over to Culebra, finding the property location on a map given to us by the rental car place and treating insect bites on our family. It was an awful trip. You have to be at the ferry dock hours before it is to take off and then you still may not get a ticket. If and when they grace you with a ticket, they point you in the opposite direction of the ferry boarding and you may miss your takeoff. Also, you are likely to get seasick on board. 2 of the 3 of us did...what fun! We didn't get to make it to a beach until 12 hours before boarding the ferry to go back to mainland but the bug bites were blamed on "sand fleas".
Pros: Alex is a nice guy, rental place was roomy, there was aC in the bedrooms (it doesn't work too well when you can't shut the windows)
Cons: Impossible to find property once you get to the island, head to toe bug bites, rickity banister going down to rocky beach causing slips and injuries, ancient oven that buzzes nonstop, broken paddle board/surf board that held a lot of water and extra weight, dock gate knotted shut so you had to try and climb over the flimsy fence, "beach" covered in rocks ..huge and hurtful in trying to walk into the water with a baby in your arms, no washer/dryer availability, broken light next to master bedroom bed, moldy vinyl cream colored shower curtain which fell down if you touched it, some doors scraped the ground when you tried to open/shut them, giant driftwood decorations that fall on your baby's head when touched, shutter/windows that do not shut correctly, screens do no line up with windows leaving big gaps letting in bugs by the million, toaster oven had to be taken outside to use (or so the sign said), padlock is only form of door lock and it was very awkward and time consuming to get on and off, ferry to get to Culebra island is unpredictable leaving you stranded with luggage and baby for hours...Response from Waterfront Villa Pelicano - 02/26/2013

Dear renters, what an unfortunate tragedy your trip has been, never before in our history heard on behalf of our customers daring going to a rocky beach (we have plenty of sandy beaches as well..) WITH A BABY!@!@ at 6.30pm without precaution, w/out carrying insect repellent.
Blaming the situation that arisen from multiple insect bites at night on the beach on a broken screen, a broken light, a left ‘on’ oven fan, a non/working bulb, a dock ‘knotted’ gate which does not exist (if you can not believe it, then by all means please go back to our web and take a 2nd look at our dock facilities photos, there is no dock gate..), well, it’s to say the least, shameful. Will like to add, the ‘sign’ posted on our kitchen related to the oven toaster does not read to take it outside of the kitchen, just to take it outside the inside of the kitchen cabinet where it is kept. We do not toast our bread inside a closed door cabinet!!
I emphasize the ‘6.30pm’ time which is exactly 12 hours prior to your departure as you have so eloquently written & expressed. It may surprise you that in fact we have a copy of the email sent to you by concierge services on Culebra which per your instructions pre/purchased your ferry transport ticket and email you the reservation number on January 23rd, 5 days prior to your departure by sea.
What ponders us the most: why did you spent three consecutive days trying to take the ferry if you already had your r/trip ferry tickets purchased a week in advance? Did you get lost on the main Island as well?
A simple call the day of your arrival, not during your last evening of lodging with us after your evening outing to the beach, would have made simple for us to assist your many & doubtful claims.
With that being said, we’re truly sorry you did not carry any insect repellent to the beach, specially sorry for your baby. We also like to point out Pelicano Oceanfront does reserve the right of admission for past guests on any possible future visit which have had with malicious intent tried to degrade & undermine our privileged location & one of a kind Spanish Virgin Island.

Awesome place to stay! Best place on the island to stay. I have to say that staying at the Pelicano made the visit to Culebra perfect. The island is very quaint like travelling back in time 30 years. If you are looking for the "resort experience" this is not the place for you. If you want to experience the local island life and visit some beautiful beaches this is ideal. We practically had Zoni beach all to ourselves. Zoni beach was beautiful, we felt like we were living in a tropical paradise. The Pelicano is outside of town and you must have a Jeep or a golf cart. We rented a golf cart from Carlos which was really fun. Everyone on the island is very helpful and accommodating. We did all our food shopping on the island without a problem. The prices may be a little more than home but not high enough to compensate for the inconvenience of transporting food from the main island. The Catholic Church has mass at 7pm Saturday night and 10 am Sunday morning, in Spanish. The priest was very dear and did say some of the homily in English for us. He also invited my 2 daughters (ages 11 and 14) on to the altar to say the Our Father. We did minimal cooking but the Pelicano is very well equipped if you choose to cook. We stayed two nights which was not enough. We did bring back food to eat in the beautiful open air kitchen and we relaxed on the hammocks each morning and evening, very peaceful and private. We enjoyed snorkeling with Captain Bill. His catamaran is docked just steps away from the Pelicano. He provided great food and snacks and took us to some very nice snorkeling areas. Alex, we so appreciated everything! Thank you!

I recently visted Culebra, Puerto Rico and was lucky to have found this place on Vrbo. It was exactly as described and then some. Alex was wonderful to work with and while staying at the house he was very helpful. Our air conditioner was not working when we first arrived and within 20 minutes he had someone there to fix it. The location was perfect. We took the kayaks out to the sand bar everyday and just around the corner from the house via the kayaks is an amazing beach to snorkle at. We brought our own fishing gear and caught several Red Snaper right off the dock. I would recommend this house to anyone and I hope to one day return to Culebra, PR. It was amazing. Best vacation to date.

Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My husband and I chose Villa Pelicano for its location, its great reviews, and the use of kayaks. All of these things turned out to be as great as advertised. The outdoor space is amazing, the sheltered bay an ideal location, and the owner alex is as helpful and gracious as can be. My only reservation is that if you plan to rent just the lower unit, as we did, there are a few caveats you should know about. First of all, the unit is just two bedrooms and a bathroom, so there is no living room. If it turns out to be a rainy time, you will spend a lot of time either in the bedroom or in the covered outdoor space, which, while lovely and expansive, is also prone to mosquitos and other biting insects, esp. in wet weather. Also, the laundry facilities are in "your" unit, so if there is a bigger group or staff who need the facilities, they need to coordinate with you to be sure the unit is open when they use it. In addition, you are vulnerable to being overwhelmed by the larger group in the unit above. We were fortunate in that there was a group of 10 using the top unit for only two nights, and they turned out to be lovely people who invited us to share dinner with them. However, if you don't connect with the other group, you still have to share the outdoor space with them and it can be noisy. So my recommendation would be either to stay at this unit with a large group when you can take over the whole space, or check with alex, the owner, to find out who else will be sharing during that time. All in all, however, for us it was a terrific stay in a beautiful location.

Athens, GeorgiaSimply Great!!
Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Dear alex, our week at Villa Pelicano was great. It exceeded our expectations. It's possible these days to make even sketchy facilities look great in website photos. In your case, though, the pictures don't really do justice to the house and grounds. We used he outdoor spaces almost more than the interiors and found everything clean and well tended. We swam a lot in the clean, clear water by the dock. And, of course, the Kayaks were a hit with everyone.
As I think I said, we had been to Culebra 12 years ago and I was struck by how little things had changed (except that the cars are bigger now). So it was just what we were looking for in a get-away-from-it-all family gathering (though we didn't get away from quite everything -- we did enjoy the opening of the Olympics on TV). We had 14 people from 7 to over 70 and never felt cramped. Several times when we out in the bay we looked back and marveled about how truly beautiful the setting is.
And thank you for making the whole process from initial contact through reservations to occupancy so hassle free. We appreciate that and, needless to say, are already taking about our next visit.
cheers

We loved the different patios and used the bbq almost every night. We saw starfish all kinds of different fish just there by the dock and went several times with the kayaks to explore around. The beaches on the island are just breathtaking and people are very friendly. We would definitely return to Villa Pelicano.

We are a family of 12 and we found Villa Pelicano in Vrbo. We rented the property for 2 nights at the end of january 2012. The house is just amazing!! I really liked that they have a lot of vegetation around, beautiful palm trees, native trees and flowers. But the most relaxing part is the dock! Sit on the dock and drink a nice cup of coffe in the morning looking the Bay or a great glass of wine to see the sunset! Was like a Dream!! We travel with 2 kids and they really enjoyed feeding the fish in the dock. There's lots of them from small to huge ones!! My favorite part was the Kitchen outside, a lot of space to set up a bar, make your breakfast with a wonderful view to the Bay and play Dominos!! We spend most of the time in that terrace, Loved It!! We set up the transportation with "Natanael" to take us to Flamenco Beach and the Town, He was Great!! Definetely will come back to Villa Pelicano! Simply the Best in Culebra Island!!

8 of us traveled together and stayed at Villa Pelicano This was our first time to Puerto Rico and Culebra. Alex was incredibly helpful and made the trip easy to plan from a distance. The house was even better than the photos and had every comfort we needed to relax and enjoy. The surroundings were tropical and beautiful and I have never seen so many stars in my entire life. We spent almost every night sitting on the dock looking up at the sky in awe. I easily saw 10 falling stars while I was there. The rooms are spacious and comfy. There were plenty of towels and even beach towels for us to take to the amazing beaches. There were kayaks at our complete disposal and an outdoor grilling area for us to enjoy (which I wish we had enjoyed a little more!!). The hammocks were heaven. We all packed lightly so it was also nice that there was a laundry room for us to use. Everything was nearby and didn't take long to get to. Flamenco and Zoni beaches were my favorite. Flamenco is perfect for the traveler who wants access to food, drinks, volley ball, chairs, umbrellas, powder white sand, and turquoise ocean water to float in. Flamenco also has some great reefs for snorkeling. Zoni on the other hand is perfect for anyone who appreciates paradise and peace and quiet. You must pack your own food and drinks, there aren't any volleyball nets, umbrellas, or chairs, but the views are zen-like-beautiful. Then we would end our days back at the Villa Pelicano. Alex, even had an ipod dock so we could all listen to music while we messed around in the kitchen or got ready to go out for the night. I would absolutely come back to Culebra and I wouldn't stay anywhere but the Pelicano. I absolutely loved it! Oh, and I should add out of all the vacation homes we have rented, we didn't have to complain about a thing and if there had been anything wrong, I know alex would have taken care of it right away. This may have been my favorite vacation ever. Thank you alex=)

We visited Villa Pelicano for an 80th birthday celebration. There were 16 of us, ages 11 to 80, and we stayed 7 nights--not long enough :-) The Villa was spacious enough for all 16 of us, had absolutely everything we could ever need, was very clean, beautiful and well maintained. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for several for us to work together and with two large refrigerators, plenty of room for food and drink. The outside kitchen was wonderful, plenty of seating for outside dining, and the hammocks so inviting after a good meal. The kayaks and private dock provided hours of entertainment right at the Villa. It was a vacation in and of itself. The nearby beaches and snorkeling were well worth the visit, so beautiful!!!. Alex, the owner, was great!!! He helped us get everything set from ferry info, to car rental, to tourist info etc. He returned my phone calls and emails very quickly and was always so polite and helpful. He even custom built a wooden step with railing off the dock so my 80 year old mom could get in and out of the water. Thanks alex!! I would highly recommend Villa Pelicano to anyone wanting an island get away. We hope to return again some day very soon.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful waterfront property! The ability to use the kayaks and slip right into the bay was amazing. The owner was hospitable and wonderfully accommodating. We'd love to visit again.

Villa Pelicano was absolutely perfect. My husband and I traveled with three other couples (and one toddler) to Culebra. The house offered everything that we needed--and alex actually went out and tracked down things that we needed but the house did not have!
January was a terrific time to go (particularly while our hometown was experiencing less-than-warm-and-sunny weather) and enjoy the sun. The Villa's location on the bay, combined with the oodles of hammocks, outdoor seating and dining spaces, kayaks, etc., etc., etc., really lend to a truly relaxing atmosphere. The sleeping and living areas of the upstairs of the house are separate--allowing some guests to sleep soundly and others to be up and around. The indoor and outdoor kitchens had everything that we needed. And the bay is wonderful for kayaking, swimming and fish-watching.
Alex could not have been more helpful and accomodating. He also has, of course, a wealth of knowledge to share about the island, getting here and there, and where to go.
If you are considering a visit to Culebra, go. If you need a place to stay, look no further.

San Juan, Puerto Rico‘one of a kind waterfront villa.’
Left on 01/10/2011 for a stay in December 2010
Our family and friends have stayed for the last three years at this amazing Villa, the space provided inside the house and throughout their exterior terraces with hammocks everywhere is simply unprecedented. They have two kitchens fully equipped, sunrise & sunsets on the outdoor terraces by the water, priceless!! We use the kayaks a lot to all surroundings to the house which are quite unique and full of wild-life and marine species, they are free to use, a great add-on value alltogether. This is our Home away from Home with all we can possibly need, ultra clean, comfortable, excellent price and the best location right on the water. They even have dock facilities with a pool ladder, we all really enjoyed feeding the fish while snorkeling right at the Villa's footsteps. The sad part of our visits to Villa Pelicano is when is time to go as time seems to stop once you reach the Island and spend your first 24 hours, we recommend to everyone having the time to spend to plan staying for not less than 3 days to a full week on this One of a Kind Waterfront Villa..

We brought a large family to Villa Pelicano to celebrate the holidays early this year. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the house lived up to the expectations we had after seeing the pictures on the website. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Will definitely stay here again soon.

Definitivamente volveremos a Villa Pelicano." -

Excellent place for the perfect family and friends vacation in Culebra. The docking facilities are perfect for almost any king of boat, jetski or kayaks. The terraces has excellent view and are great for family gathering. One is fully equipped with a kitchen, excellent for a BBQ. The house is so beautiful, comfortable and very spacious. We where a group of 15 and we had space for everyone. The owner is very nice and helps us with everything we need. We arrive early and he allowed to hang around while the Villa is being prepared and cleaned. ..It has everything. Love the hammocks, We stay at Culebra for 5 days, we stay in the villa the first 3 days there, without the necessity of going out. The drivers that took us to the villa later on we call him and he bring us anything we need including shooping, Prepare to breathtaking view sitting in front of the bay in anytime. Love the place!

Best place to stay in Culebra!!!. Perfect for a family trip or with friends, you will have the vacations of your dreams in this villa. It has everything but beach towels, the rest is all there, kayaks, bbq, hammocks, private deck in Ensenada bay, fully equipped kitchen and rooms, just perfect. We stay at Culebra for 5 days, the villa is sow amazing that we stay the first two days there, without the necessity of going out. The other days we went to the beaches but at night we love to stay at the villa cooking outdoors and admiring the breathtaking view sitting in front of the bay under the stars. San Juan, Puerto RicoExceptional Culebra Experience
Left on 04/26/2010 for a stay in April 2009
Our stay at Villa Pelicano was outstanding!!! The house is located right off the
bay and has so many terraces from which to enjoy the beautiful view. In
addition, it has its own dock (great for happy hours and sunsets) which can
accommodate two boats and has kayaks for guest use. The location could not
be better! Club Seaborne Hotel is right across the street (and about 15 degrees
hotter) and has a great restaurant if you want to eat out. Our party consisted
of 14 people of various ages and all were happy with the accommodations.
The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary cookware, plates, basic
condiments and appliances. It is also nice that they have a washer and dryer on
the first floor. Our favorite is the second terrace which has an outdoor kitchen
and grill facilities with spectacular views. Its good to have a car to visit
Flamenco Beach, Puerto Rico's finest and one of the top ten beaches in the
world. In addition there are various other beaches, restaurants and grocery
stores close to the house. This was our second visit to Villa Pelicano and we
plan to return in the near future. I would highly recommend staying there! -

usaA good fit for our family
Left on 04/18/2010 for a stay in April 2010
The Villa Pelicano was an excellent fit for our young family, with a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy between excursions to the beach. It was clean, though like most places on Culebra it came with it's share of bugs and lizards (sorry, no 5 stars for that!). The maid service even cleaned our bathroom mid-week for us!
Really, our only "issue" is the kitchen situation. IF YOU RENT JUST THE LOWER 2-BR UNIT, please note that you get just 2 BR's and a bath -- "your" kitchen, dining room, and any living space is an outdoor terrace 50 feet away in another building, and it is SHARED with any renters using the upstairs. The upstairs renters have their own K/DR/LR inside, but are free to use "your" only facilities as a supplement to their own. Given that the larger party of upstairs renters far outnumber your smaller party, it can be a bit awkward to have your own family "quiet time" eating dinner when they are partying in the same room. Lucky for us, the upstairs renters during our stay were extremely friendly and sociable, though we ended up having almost no time to ourselves with their 5 kids running around/through.
This wasn't a "show-stopper" for us and we do recommend the villa for just about everyone, but those renting the lower unit should do so with this knowledge in mind.
Also -- and this could be good or bad depending on your point of view -- we had NO CELL SERVICE at the Villa Pelicano. Nice to "get away" but it also made communication with the owner or anyone else (car rental, sailing trip captain) extremely difficult.Response from Waterfront Villa Pelicano - 04/18/2010
Owner
DEAR AZURO,
WE GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS AND VIEWS REGARDING OUR FACILITIES WHICH ARE QUITE EXTENSIVE CONSIDERING SQUARE FOOTAGE INVOLVED, AND THAT WE ARE VERY SPECIFIC TO ALL OUR CLIENTS PRIOR TO THEIR BOOKINGS IN INFORMING THEM OF OUR MULTIPLE OUTDOOR SHARED OCEANFRONT TERRACES, WHICH BY THE WAY ARE INCLUSIVE FOR USAGE OF OUR DOCK FACILITIES AND KAYAKS, FOR THE LATTER A TYPICAL $50 VALUE/PER PERSON/PER DAY CHARGE WHICH IS BASICALLY WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS PAY FOR THEIR LODGING AT VILLA PELICANO'S 1ST LEVEL APARTMENT. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL THOUGH, WE ARE AT A FRACTION OF THEIR COST, AND WE DO NOT HAVE DOZENS OF GUESTS ROAMING AROUND, IT IS QUITE PRIVATE.
HOWEVER, WITH THAT SAID, WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF FURTHER EXPANDING OUR TOP LEVEL APARTMENT TO HAVE ITS OWN TERRACE WITH BBQ FACILITIES, HENCE ADDING ADDITIONAL VALUE TO OUR ALREADY INEXPENSIVE RATE STRUCTURE, AND FOR OUR GROUND LEVEL APARTMENT, A FEW SURPRISES COMING ALONG THE WAY TO INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL BEDROOM AND BATHROOM ATOP ITS MULTIPLE GARDEN HAMMOCK AREAS PROVIDED.
AS FOR LIZARDS, WE ARE TRULY SORRY, THIS IS A 'GIVE AND TAKE' WITH PRECIOUS NATURE...
REGARDS,
VILLA PELICANO. -

Seldom you find accomodations which provide with such extensive space and ammenities, and to top it all, rates are inclusive for the unlimited use of the Villa's kayaks, a great 'plus'!!!!! Our family had a wonderful time kayaking from Villa Pelicano's dock facilities onto the spectacular mangrove formations which surround the property and the adjacent Wild-Life Refuge. A good trail's hike of about 15 min. with unsurpassed scenery takes you to Soldier's Point Beach, excelent for snorkeliing or just relaxing. We simply categorized Culebra Island as 'Paradise'...already planning to be back to Villa Pelicano beginning of 2010.
