This wing of a Georgian house is located in the town of Grange-over-Sands and can sleep eight adults and two children in four bedrooms. 1 Lingfell is a semi detached wing of a Georgian house in the Cumbrian town of Grange-over-Sands. The cottage has four bedrooms consisting of two doubles and two twins, which can be made into doubles on request, and a double sofa bed for two children, plus two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.     All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
    Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

      Fantastic Hospitality

      We have stayed in rented holiday cottages at least once a year for over 30 years and this has to be up there as one of the best we have stayed in within this price range.
      We look for a spacious dog-friendly property with a kitchen you can actually cook a meal in which is in a location with decent views which is convenient for shops (preferably with a good butcher, grocer etc).
      This property ticks all those boxes - very spacious and comfortable, loads of seating area both for relaxing and dining, several good bathrooms - 2 baths, 2 showers and 3 loos! Its really warm and comfy, there is good fast WiFi throughout the property, safe space outside for drying clothes/storing bikes, safe and always-available parking on the road outside the property and a safe garden for dogs out front with beautiful views over the bay.
      The location in general is perfect - close to beautiful walks and bike rides + some really really good pubs and beautiful conuntryside. The location of the actual property really is fantastic midway up Grangefell road - high enough to get a view and low enough to be a 2 minute walk from the lovely shopping area of Grange-over-sands. There is a fantastic butchers and bakers along with all the things you need like chemists and banks and an off license + some interesting little independant book, craft and clothes shops.
      But really the most out standing thing about this property was the service we received from the owners both before and during our stay.
      Liz was there at the touch of a button responding instantly to emails with all my questions in the run up our arrival and Rory was available at the drop of a hat during the week to see to any needs that we had (a broken toaster was replaced immediately along with a delivery of home baked brownies!!!)

      A great holiday home

      Lingfell is a lovely spacious home which happily fitted 10 of us for a weeks stay.The only slight downside is there is only one shower, which for 10 people is not nearly enough.

      There is some welcoming touches left by the owners (cakes) which got our holiday of to a brilliant start. would definetely stay there again.

The owners advise that they have listened to yours and others feedback regarding the lack of showers and they are planning an upgrade in February. The upgrade will include a large luxury enclosure in the main bathroom and an over bath shower in en suite 1. This will mean the property will have 2 showers and 2 baths. The owners look forward to welcoming you back to this lovely property in the future.

      This holiday rental in Garnage-Over-Sands is really lovely. Four big bedrooms, enough to sleep eight comfortably, a spacious dining room, a big comfortable lounge and well stocked kitchen really gives this place a grand feel. It's all very tastefully done, and there is plenty of room for adults and children to spread out and enjoy themselves. There are TVs in every bedroom for those rainy afternoons, but when the sun is out the front garden is the place to be; perched half way up a hill and furnished with a picnic table and an old church pew, it's the perfect place to enjoy a view of the salt marshes and Morecombe Bay. Grange has something for everyone: boutiques, antiques, garden nurseries, delicatessens, car boot sales, one of the finest butchers in the country and pubs serving excellent Lakeland ales. There's a pretty promenade walk by the sea and a place that sells homemade ice cream. If you like walking there are family sized walks all around the fells behind Grange; and for fisherman, stocked ponds and reservoirs half an hour away by car (my brother and I caught several 1 1/2 pound rainbow trout on dry flies). The owners of the rental, Rory and Liz are charming and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and help us get the most from Grange: they know the places to go and the people to talk to have a really good holiday.
