Fish till your hearts content, with 1 peg, this log cabin overlooks the lake and is ideally based to enjoy a fishing or family holiday. Close to Carlisle, the Eden Valley, Northern Lake District, the Scottish Borders and Hadrian's Wall makes exploring a must and easily accessible.

Tucked away off the main road Cumwhinton Park is a delightful holiday destination for the dedicated fisherman or for those who are looking for a peaceful holiday retreat. The Park is within a 10 minute drive of the motorway giving easy access to the northern Lake District, has views over the rolling countryside of the Eden Valley and is within 10 minutes of hi...storic Carlisle where a wealth of shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions await you.

Cumwhinton Park is a true anglers paradise with the accommodation overlooking the fish filled lakes. Set in approximately 30 acres of grounds, there are 5 lakes filled with Carp, Roach, Chub, Perch, Gudgeon, Catfish, Tench and Crucian, not only are the fish regularly seen splashing about, the visiting wildlife including herons, ospreys, kingfishers and many four legged friends are also regular visitors. The Settle to Carlisle line passes close by and trains can regularly be seen trundling past including the occasional steam train. Ideally based for a relaxing family holiday, the accommodation overlooks the lake with their very own peg only a stones throw away, the park has a small children's play area, Anglers Bite Café, serving breakfast and lunch, a shop filled with fisherman's delights and for budding anglers a small lake is ideal for those wanting to try their first rod. When you want time away from angling the facilities of Carlisle are within easy reach and exploring the Lake District, Eden Valley, Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish Borders are all within 30 minutes drive.

There is a choice of accommodation available at Cumwhinton Park, there are 6 cottages, 10 mobile homes, 2 log cabins and a cottage. All have kitchens equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and some with washer/dryer (except in the mobile homes).

This detached luxury lodge stands in its own grounds and overlooks the main lake, it is centrally heated and comprises:

* Lounge/dining room with TV, DVD player and patio doors.

* Double bedroom with en-suite shower room with hand basin and WC.

* Twin bedroom.

* Bathroom with shower over 2 person Jacuzzi bath, hand basin and WC.

* All bed linen included.

* Electric by meter.

* Cot available.

* Private parking for at least 2 cars per property.

* Fishing at a supplement of £75 per rod per week for up to 2 people, over 2 people £60 per rod per week

  Had a lovely week in the fishermans lodge, peace and quiet and caught fish even if the really big ones were out of my league. A large cooked breakfast in the cafe every morning set us up for the day and excellent local pubs fed us well in the evening. I was really suited to just walking about 20 yards down the garden to my own private fishing peg, no carring heavy tackle around just walk out and fish as I wanted, great!
