My wife and I have traveled to many places in the Caribbean , and have to say that Curacao is now by far our most favorite.
There are many reason to like this Island and a lot has to do with the people .

First of all we could not have asked for anyone better than Don to help us with all the arrangements on the Island . Don was there to answer any questions and to provide insight .

We stayed at Pueblo #5 and were very impressed by the layout as well the views and most importantly the privacy and serenity that the pueblo provided . The pool was a great way to relax in the evening and the view was just breath taking .

Don, set us up with Evelien to be our in house chef for our first night . All I can say is that she was not only a wonderful chef , but an absolute pleasure to converse with . Do not leave without experiencing a meal prepared by Evelien . I only wish we would have had enough time to have her back for another delicious meal, no problem as we are heading back in 3 month time :)

If you are looking for diving guidance, than Goby-Divers should be your first choice . I had the absolute pleasure of diving with one of the most genuine person I have ever met . Ima was treasure of information on diving in Curacao and provided me with the experience of a life time . I am totally looking forward to our return in June , and diving with Ima once again . If you dive , you must experience Goby-diver's and have Ima as your guide .

Daniels Fine Dining, was another place that we visited , again recommend by Don .
Great place for a very nice meal close to Coral Estates .

I must also mention Heidi ( Property Management ) who was able to fulfill my request for a dozen red roses for my wife , to be in the Pueblo on our arrival . Just another example of the fantastic experience that awaits you in Curacao and Coral Estates .

      Hi Manny and Carmen,

We surely appreciate the excellent review of our services, the pueblo and, of course, our island! Thanks for taking the time to do that and help prospective guests understand that our team works really hard to ensure a special time on the island.
We are looking very forward to seeing you both again, maybe enjoy a dive together, some hydration beers and there are still pancakes that need to be experienced!
Have a great spring and looking forward to seeing you in June!

      Just back from Curacao

Left on 02/03/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We just got back from Curacao stayed for 12 nights. We rented a 2 bedroom pueblo from Seaside Curacao rentals, Don and Heidi are the property managers. From the start they made this very easy, we had rented a car as it was approximately 30 minutes from the airport, and even the driving directions were very instructional, we never got lost which i considered a miracle. Interesting drive watch out for potholes and goats on the road, but they do drive on the righthand side. The pueblo was great, with it's own little pool and a beautiful view of the ocean with fantastic sunsets nearly everyday. Don had prestocked some groceries and beer and wine for us so we could relax when we got there. There is a restaurant on site which we ate at the first night and our last night and the food was pretty good. There was also the option of having a chef come in and make your dinner which we opted for and it turned out wonderfully. Our chef was a local artist and also a great cook so i would highly recommend having this service. The pueblo was in a gated community called Coral Estates, very clean with beautiful landscaping and homes. There is also a shallow brine lake nearby with flamingos in it, not something you see everyday. My husband did 3 dives which he really enjoyed. All in all i would say it was pretty good. The beaches in Curacao are very scenic but not good for strolling on, too much coral and too many rocks so watershoes are a must, also i noticed there was lots of glass on the beach and i spent a lot of time picking up pieces, it didn't seem to bother other people but i was horrified someone would be cut, including us!!! So just be careful when you are on them. The people are in general very friendly and helpful and English is spoken in most places. We are thinking we might rent again and take our children, maybe for a Christmas present. If you are thinking of vacationing in this way i would highly recommend seaside curacao, however a car is a must.

      Hi Dave and Becky,

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, it always helps to introduce other guests to our small operation. I wish I could get that 4 star for service to a 5, we try really hard to make a very positive and helpful impression for our guests. On your return visit please let me know what I can do before, during and after your trip to make sure it is as excellent as it can be. We aim to please and we are really glad you enjoyed our chef service, the flamingos and the fantastic sunsets! Thanks again and hope to see you again! Don

Pueblo #5 - Great service and location!

Left on 01/13/2013 for a stay in December 2012

My husband and I met my parents in Curaçao for Christmas and had a great trip. Don was incredible with pre-trip tips (beaches, restaurants, and other activities) which were basically our travel guide the whole time we were there. So, here are some details:
      Pueblo #5 (the house):
It was comfortable, enough space for 4. We spent most of our time at the patio table by the pool with an incredible view. I don't think you could get a better sunset on the island! Follow Heidi's (the property manager) advice regarding mosquitos!
We had problems with internet but it might have been more to do with our computers than the WiFi itself.
The kitchen is pretty basic (no oven) so don't make plans for baking meals (fortunately we hadn't planned to make a traditional Christmas dinner!). However there are enough pots, pans, glasses, silverware, etc. to make meals at home.
Location: You can walk to a small, rocky beach in about 5 minutes. There is a very nice restaurant there that would be great for a romantic dinner. Otherwise, you have to drive. Get a car. There is no other way in Curaçao. The pueblo is about a 3 minute drive from the community entrance, and from there, two of our favorite beaches (esp. Cas abou!) were within 5-10 minutes' drive. That is very close by Curaçao standards. If you want to stay beach-front, you have to stay in a huge hotel and they are not on the best beaches anyway. (The best beaches have no properties on them, other than maybe a bar/restaurant). Day trips to the beach is the way to go - we went to 7 beaches in 6 days and never drove more than 30 minutes to get there (except Klein Curaçao).
Service: Pay the $15 service fee to have your fridge stocked on arrival. It was so nice to show up and have beer and snacks on hand, plus breakfast food for the next day so that we could enjoy our arrival rather than spending it in a supermarket. Again, Don was *very* helpful with all of our little questions and his "local" tips were enormously helpful.

      Sunset from the pool!

Hi Melissa and Happy New Year!
We're glad it started off with some nice memories in Curacao!
Thanks for the time you took to write the review, it is very appreciated. Our neighborhood restaurant is also getting 5-star reviews and we're glad you liked the views and food. I just had a great fish dinner there last night! And, yep, getting a car is must no matter where you stay on the island. BUT, if you want to be close to the best beaches...Pueblo 5 is the best base of operations! Thanks again and we're glad we could help you have a terrific trip! Welcome back, Melissa! (and thanks for posting your pics! Fun!) - Don

      Curacao Holiday

Left on 10/31/2012 for a stay in August 2012

Well lets start by saying we had a few other places that we enquired about renting for our stay on Curacao. What sold us was the view, next was the security, the quiet evenings.the ease of booking with Don.the house had everything needed to prepare meals.the view from the patio or from in the pool with a beer is habit forming, you could do it all day.the location of Coral Estates is a 20 min drive to Willemstad. It is best to rent a car as everything is scattered on the island.Avis was our choice for car rental.we asked Heidi the property manager to have food brought to the house on our arrival which was ease for us after a long flight.the directions given to the house from the airport are easy to follow.the house was spotless on arrival, the pool was maintained 4 times during our stay.Heidi came in after 7 days to freshen up the house.Heidi will be as private as you wish as she is only just up the hill.We would come back to Coral Estates. The securety will recognize you after a lenghy stay.Heidi you and Don have a excellent program for hospitality.Keep it up already planning our next holiday to Curacao

Very nice for a family. We liked the pool . The view. The silent nights maybe that was also due to the fact that the dive center and it bar was closed?? It is a superb place if one can entertain oneself. Like to cook - good with the grill and the dis washer.

Until then we welcome guests to enjoy any of the 9 snack shacks and local and gourmet restaurants within a 10 minute drive or any of the 25+ bays, beaches and coves in the neaerby countryside.

      Our Separate Peace

Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011

After a long day of traveling, we finally arrived at our honeymoon destination, Curacao, at around 9 p.m. Our host, Don, greeted us with two glasses of red wine, then drove us to our cottage, Pueblo #13, where we would spend our next eleven days.

The cottage had a large sliding glass door that opened up to our own private deck and pool, and revealed a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. The sea possessed a hinge of two shades of blue that looked like night and day - a light, sky blue near the shore, and a dark, purplish blue where the ocean floor dropped considerably. We also witnessed several magnificent sunsets from our deck, where the sun radiated a fiery orange that blanketed the horizon.

The only sounds at our cottage came from the ocean, the wind moving through the brush, and the songs of brightly colored sparrows and parakeets that frequented the shrubs outside our bedroom window. A flight of steps took us down to the beach, where a once thriving but now defunct resort used to be. We were amazed to find ourselves entirely alone at such a beautiful beach, where we went snorkeling and shell hunting with the continual backdrop of tinkling coral fragments washing upon the shore.

Both Don and our other host from Seaside Curacao, Heidi, recommended other places for us to visit, which we would have never found on our own. Our favorite beach was called San Juan, where we had to drive about ten minutes along a bumpy dirt road that wound through the ruins of an old plantation to get to where we had our best snorkeling experience. We also went on a couple hikes, one that ended at a lagoon where pink flamingos gathered to rest, and another that wound along the rough north coast, where violent waves crashed against sea cliffs and descended upon us in a gentle shower.

The sense of peace and solitude we experienced in Curacao, and Pueblo #13, was exactly what we wanted, and the graciousness of our hosts made our honeymoon an unforgettable experience.

      The View Was Breathtaking

Left on 05/26/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We stayed in Bungalow 13 for a long weekend and could barely pull ourselves away on Sunday! The pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea was the focal point of this bungalow. My favorite part of the weekend was simply standing in the pool, resting my glass of wine on the edge of the pool and watching the parrots as they flew back and forth between me and the sea. I could have stayed like that for hours!

The bungalow was clean with fresh sheets on the beds. The kitchen was perfect and had a gecko on the screen outside the window over the sink. He never seemed to mind us watching him as he watched out for his own dinner.

The rental agency manager lives a few houses away and welcomed us warmly, showing us all the features of the bungalow and leaving us with her own phone number in case we needed anything.

Diving in Curacao is amongst the best in the world. The location of this bungalow put it within easy reach of the best dive spots on the island and yet only a short 30Km drive to the city of Willemstad.

We live in Curacao and when we need a mini-vacation we know where to go and where to avoid. This rental is definitely where to go! We highly recommend it to anyone wanting a nice quiet oasis from the stress of everyday life!

      Lovely house overlooking the sea

Left on 03/22/2011 for a stay in January 2011

This is a great getaway for anyone that wish to explore the island outside the tourist areas. Lovely house with a small and highly sufficient pool. Neighbors can see you when you swim, but they all seem very relaxed and super friendly. Both the owner and the woman assisting you when checking in are very friendly and helpful. Provided me a ton of advice on the island, and even arranged a wifi with the neighbors. The road going to the estate is damaged due to the rain, but this will be fixed eventually.
If you wish to explore some remote and private beaches, or the west part of the island, this is a recommended location to start.

      Lovely Stay at Coral Estates

Left on 01/03/2011 for a stay in December 2010

My wife and I stayed in one of the Pueblos at Coral Estate during our honeymoon, late December 2010.

We stayed in a 2 bed / 2 bath Pueblo with large deck and a pool, overlooking the Habitat resort and with unobstructed sea views beyond.

As for the property itself, it was clean, roomy, and comfortable. It had a nice kitchen which came in handy on a few occasions we didn't feel like venturing out.

The outdoor deck was enormous, and having that pool for a quick dip whenever it struck our fancy, sure was nice.

The managers of the property lived nearby and were extremely kind and very happy to help us out w/ tips which helped make our stay on the island very enjoyable. They even invited us over for a couple drinks on Christmas eve, which was a lot of fun.

When we did go out (which was often), the property turned out to be quite well situated, about 20 mins outside Willemstad and well within striking distance to many excellent beaches and dive spots on both sides of the island.

Overall, our Pueblo at Coral Estates proved to be a very comfortable, very well situated, home away from home, during our time on Curacao.
