New York CitySweetest place on Earth!
Left on 02/05/2013 for a stay in November 2010
My partner and I stayed in this villa, and it was all it was advertised as, plus some. The place is quite lovely, spotlessly clean, and with incredible views, right off the porch and the patio. There are houses all around but we had plenty of privacy for sunbathing and just relaxing. The kitchen is nicely stocked (with pots, pans, etc) so we were able to eat in, and then hit restaurants when we wanted something different. Landhuis Daniel is a wonderful restaurant just a few minutes drive away; it has such a great menu and staff that we ate there more than once. The pool is small but cool and refreshing. The yard is full of beautiful plants that attract a colorful mix of birds. And the ocean views, wow! We not only want to return, but we want to bring friends with us next time. And we have already recommended this place to family and friends! The owners were quite responsive to all our enquires, and they supplied excellent lists and recommendations of local restaurants, beaches, and other stuff you might be interested in.

Looking for a break from it all? Want to really relax with your own personal spectacular view of the ocean (from the edge of a swimming pool no less!)? Quiet and private. Very close to a tranquil beach (no, not all the tourists on the island are there), and a short ride into Willemstad. We have stayed here twice (once with friends and once with parents) and had a great time both visits. Can't beat this kind of vacation!

ArkansasChristmas in Curacao
Left on 01/17/2013 for a stay in December 2012
Curacao is charming and rustic and this house, with its modern, functional amenities and incredibly stunning view, is the perfect place to stay! The visitor's guide provided by the owner is very detailed and very helpful. Almost any question we had was addressed in the guide and on the two occasions that we had an additional question, the owner was very quick to respond to email (wi-fi worked well). We are a party of five, three adult children and two parents, and we spent every other day at the house swimming and sunning by the pool, cooking dinner in the well-appointed kitchen, and eating on the balcony watching the sun set. What a view! On the other days, we beach-hopped (visitors' guide again invaluable) and snorkled, went to Willemstad, and basically explored the island. The house and community (gated) felt very safe, was very clean, and had almost everything we needed. The grocery store nearest the house, Centrum, was a lot of fun and had a great bakery, deli, butcher, and an assortment of toiletries and adult beverages that more than met our needs. (Note - you'll need lots of sunscreen!) Landhuis Daniel - go there for Dutch pancakes. While Christmas is the rainy season in Curacao, it only rained once in the 10 days we were there and then only for about 5 minutes. Overall, great house, great location, great island, great vacation!

Caledon, OntarioA perfect week in Curacao "far from the maddening crowds"
Left on 01/15/2013 for a stay in December 2011
My husband and I spent a perfect week in Curacao over New Year's and we attribute it to this lovely villa. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful week and we found it here.
It's situated on a hill in a gated community, and while there are neighboring houses nearby it's still extremely private. The view is spectacular (pictures can't convey the dramatic scope - we loved watching the ships sail by), and the private pool is a pleasure.
It offers all the comforts of home - the 3 bedrooms have a/C with king beds and beautiful linens, there's a fully-equipped kitchen (no oven but I place more importance on the dishwasher!), wi-fi, and laundry; the water is conveniently potable; the villa was extremely clean and in good repair; and there were very few insects.
It's 25 mins from the city and airport (a car is essential) but that also puts it a lot closer to the best beaches, and there are many beautiful beaches with great snorkeling. Most offer chairs for a nominal fee, and some have restaurants/bars and dive shops. We spent an afternoon at one of the larger "city" beaches (Jan Thiel) in Willemstad shared by a couple of the resorts, and we couldn't wait to get back out to the smaller, quieter, less populated beaches.
At Dec-end, any rain showers were short and the sun came out again immediately, and the temps were consistently mid-80's.
The closest aTM, gas station and grocery-store were about 15 mins away; the grocery store had everything we needed and the service was good.
The villa owners provide a helpful Visitor's Guide with driving directions to get to the villa from the airport; and recommendations on beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, Atms, etc. We found it invaluable - and very accurate! They're also very responsive by email. The rental process was quick and easy.
I happily recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing "off-resort" vacation. -

The house was amazing. The pictures were exactly what you get. Pool, bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, even the amazing view! We used the visitor's guide that the owner prepared for everything that we did. It included activities, beaches, restaurants, even directions! We could not have asked for a better place to have spent our paradise vacation.

Sylva, NCBeautiful villa with an amazing view!
Left on 01/09/2013 for a stay in May 2010
I have stayed at this villa twice and would go back anytime. The rooms are so light and airy. The home is very clean and comfortable. I could sit for hours out on the covered porch enjoying the breeze, the birds and the stunning view. The water is unbelievably blue and I enjoyed watching boats drift by. Both times that I have stayed there it was very quiet and peaceful and I came away much more relaxed and rested than I usually do after vacations. We really enjoyed the nearby beaches of Daaibooibaai and Playa Porto Mari which were just minutes away from the house. The snorkeling at Daaibooibaai was amazing. I loved relaxing in the pool at night looking up at the stars. The landscaping around the house is beautiful. I really like that the house is out of town but still has restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We especially enjoyed eating at Landhuis Daniel, which is just a short drive away and has incredible Dutch pancakes. We had fun driving into Willemstad for shopping and dinner. We spent a day beach hopping to see more of the island, but the villa is so nice that some days we just stayed in, taking walks around the estate, napping on the porch or relaxing around the pool.

Curaçao vacation
We were so very pleased with this beautiful villa. It is even more lovely than the pictures indicate. The layout is just perfect and the home is situated in such a way that it catches the most wonderful breeze. We couldn't believe how quiet the area was and how private the villa felt. The owner of this home was very responsive and provided a wealth of information about the villa and the island. My family and I would highly recommend this villa for others and would return again. Thanks so much for a great experience.

Left on 01/08/2013 for a stay in February 2012
Owner was very attentive and acted immediately upon our requests. Owner accurately described the amenities of the villa and surrounding area detailed in the visitors guide she sent us. We were able to find the location of the villa upon our arrival after dark using her directions. We enjoyed gorgeous sunsets and wonderful bird watching from the balcony. The space was roomy enough for six adults. The pool was a welcome cooling relief from the afternoon heat. The people at the gate were friendly and helpful. The island has wonderful beaches, scenery, and exotic animals. Most of the many restaurants from which to choose met our expectations. We enjoyed our sunset cruise with Pelican Express which went from the Sea aquarium to the Spanish Waters to the Willemstad floating bridge and back to the Sea aquarium.

We found the view astounding! Extremely comfortable stay. Very clean home. A car is a must to get around! The property would have been a bit of a challenge to find during the night, so I do recommend getting to Curacao during the day on day 1. If you are staying more than 1 week, I would recommend getting the extra cleaning service, as you will bring in a bit of sand all through the house. I would definitely stay there again!

Left on 01/08/2013 for a stay in November 2010
The property is in a quiet, peaceful and safe environment with every attention to comfort and maintenance of the amenities. We loved the pool and the gardens, wonderful views out on the verandah. Comfortable chairs and loungers outside where we spent most of our time.
The house is extremely well-equipped and furnished. We especially liked the access from all rooms to the verandah. Wonderful beaches nearby and fantastic restaurants. Lots of interesting things to do in the city and around the island if you want to get out and about. Very friendly and helpful people...we loved it! -

My wife and 2 daughters and I spent a relaxing week on the island. We used the villa a home base for our adventures and found it ideally located in the middle of the island. It's not too far from lots of good beaches and the main town. Westpunt is about 30 minutes away and town is about 20- 25 minutes. Obviously you must have a car for this property. The house is nicely equipped with a small but useful kitchen and for those that want to cook everything is there that you could possibly need, no oven but... who needs an oven? The views are indeed beautiful and relaxing and the best part was reading on the balcony or just lounging by the pool. The property owner was accessible for emergency questions and support and the handout provided was invaluable for navigating the island. The property was very secure with a gated entrance 24/7. You must have a car for this property. Very neat and clean, I would not hesitate to rent this again and I highly recommend it. We were sorry we had only a week there. I highly recommend this property for Bird Watchers.
