We very much enjoyed our holiday staying in No. 13. The apartment was ideal, superbly situated to enable us to explore this lovely area. Sitting on the large balcony it was wonderful listening to and watching the wildlife. Thank you Colleen for such a warm welcome and providing everthing that helped to make our stay so special. A little corner of paradise. Hazel Hamilton and Noel Cooper, UK

A wonderful 5 night stay so close to everything we wanted to see and do. Great location, excellent facilities including the pool and spa. Weather was also fantastic. Sunshine every day. Great fish and chips down the road at Tugun, as recommended by owner Colleen. Will definitely stay here again if we get the chance to visit the Gold Coast and will recommend this accommodation to all our family and friends.

The place was awesome! The owner really went out of her way to make sure we had a good time. The place was very well furnished and had a really nice view. Went in the middle of summer, no a/C but didn't really notice thanks to the pool and fans throughout. Owner was very helpful in correspondence when we made the reservation. Really close to the wildlife sanctuary and currumbin beach, so good location. I wish there had been wifi, but that's a really minor complaint, as there is Internet available within walking distance at a nearby store. Wish I could've stayed longer, thanks again!

We stayed for a weekend with our daughter, son-in-law and toddler Granddaughter. Unit had ideal living space for our family group and was very clean and well equipped. Colleen the owner met my husband at the unit and helped out with settling in.
The unit is in a lovely spot with water birds visiting the lagoon behind. Although it is in the flight path and low flying planes pass regularly during the day, this did not disturb us at all once we got used to it. -

I was met at the airport by the owner Colleen, who helped me with shopping for food, gave me an orientation tour of the unit, and made me feel right at home. The unit was spotless, well appointed and looked after. The lake at the back was very peaceful with birds from the nearby Currumbin Sanctuary offering a very peaceful spot on the patio to enjoy a wine of soothing cup of tea. The weather was really cold but the heaters provided made for a very cosy evening.I would recommend number 13 to anyone either travelling alone or with a family, books and games are even provided for the children. I am sorry it was only a short stay as a longer one would have been truly special.

Left on 01/15/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We had a lovely 9 night stay in this apartment. The location is great- just a few minutes walk from Currumbin Wildlife Santuary + beautiful beaches. The apartment itself is very comfortable + the owner (Colleen) is very friendly and was extremely helpful while we were there. The apartment has a great view over a lake and we enjoyed watching the birds and lizards from the deck. It is also very well equipped with just about everything you could need in the kitchen plus Dvds, games and beach toys for the kids. We were travelling with 3 small children and they all had a great time. We would love to come back sometime soon!

"It really was a home from home, perhaps even better because in Ireland we don't wake up to the beautiful birds singing or warm weather. We feel so lucky to have found such a great place to stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone considering a holiday on the Gold Coast. Mabel, Dublin"

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Currumbin Sanctuary No.13. We really enjoyed watching the birds on the lake and listening to the kookaburras and the aboriginal music that wafted over to us from the sanctuary twice a day. It was great being so handy to the airport - only a ten-minute drive away - and being able to visit the sanctuary and beach whenever we felt like it, walk along the beach or boardwalk to the shops and restaurants, and then come home to the spa without ever having to use the car. All in all an excellent and economical choice of accommodation. With not only beach towels and buggy boards provided, but even the use of a mobile phone and laptop, we could not have asked for anything more. Thank you, Colleen, for a wonderful holiday.

Left on 05/27/2010 for a stay in January 2008
Myself and my friend were looking for a relaxing quiet holiday, and this was perfect. The bird sanctuary right over the balcony, with views of the lake, the amazing pool right outside the door, the large and very comfortable apartment, and the local beach and shops were all perfect!
And when we wanted something a bit more lively we just had to go outside the door of the resort and there was a bus that took us all the way to Surfers Paradise!
I also stayed here with my parents and younger brother in July 2008, and again we had a wonderful relaxing time.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anybody, young, old or family. -

Service was excellent. Unit family friendly. The location has it all, animals, large pools, privacy and a short, easy walk to the beach. There is also good public transport going past the front door to take you to shopping and all the attractions on the gold coast.
Best - location. Least - nothing -

BrisbanePerfect unit for families
Left on 05/16/2010 for a stay in April 2010
This particular unit is fantastic because it is huge with a great layout for families. It has huge dining/living area opening out to enormous back deck for kids to play and watch the birds, ducks etc. Also has separate ensuite, sofa beds for guests and full kitchen to prepare meals. Owner has made it that extra special with dvds, videos, games for kids and books so you don't need to worry about any entertainment. Perfect spot near the beautiful currumbin bird sanctuary, and currumbin surf club and gorgeous beach. This resort has lovely gardens and massive pool/baby pool, spa and bbq too. Very highly recommended and well looked after.
