The cottage is able to sleep up to four people in one double and one twin room, making it a great family home-from-home against a spectacular mountain backdrop. Set in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, this attractive stone-built, mid-terrace cottage is situated in the scattered village of Cwm Penmachno. Located in the green hills of the Machno Valley, this quarryman's cottage is set against a wonderful, mountainous backdrop and offers cosy accommodation with original beams and exposed wood flooring. With a number of scenic walks through the local area, including one that passes the spectacular Conwy Waterfall, the Snowdonia National... Park and a magnificent golf course, there’s sure to be something in the region to suit all tastes and budgets.

Roadside parking for 1 car, additional roadside parking nearby. Lockable storage for bikes. Enclosed rear garden with patio and furniture. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 8 miles, cafe/restaurant 6 miles, pub 4 miles. Note: Patio accessed via 12 ascending steps - unsuitable for young children. Note: There is no mobile signal available at the property.

Region: Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Town: Situated in the beautiful Machno Valley and just eight miles from the popular town of Betws-y-Coed is the scattered, sleepy village of Cwm Penmachno. Set in dense woodland against a backdrop of magnificent mountains and flowing rivers, the whole area is full of interesting walking and cycling routes as well as excellent spots for bird watchers. The town itself offers a wide selection of shops, pubs and cafes whilst the nearby River Conwy meets its three tributaries in a spectacular number of cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. The most impressive of these falls is the one at Swallow Falls, situated where the River Llugwy meets the Conwy. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  We chose this cottage for a quiet family holiday to recover from a busy Christmas period.
  The cottage is situated in a beautiful valley at the end of a road with no through traffic. From the moment we arrived we knew it was the perfect location and we wouldn't want to leave.
  The cottage is an ex quarrymens cottage with lots of original features, a lovely open fire and a huge roll top bath.
  Our children loved venturing outside to see the chickens and geese nearby and we felt happy and safe giving them some freedom.
  The locals were friendly and helpful, the views fantastic we couldn't have asked for more!
  No Internet,no phone signal, no shops for over 5 miles...heaven!

  My husband and i stayed back in October the weather was awful but it didn't matter the cozy house and the peace and quiet was lovely. the walking in the area is fantastic. i was so nice to go out and have a long walk in spectacular scenery in the cold and wet then to go home to a hot bath and a roaring was fire total bliss.
