Description from the owner
Sea View Villa is 2/4/6 person beautifully designed villa right on the sea-front in Dahab, Egypt. There are two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a four-poster bed and private balcony overlooking the pool, and the second bedroom has two doubles (or one double plus sofa). We can also convert the sofas to beds in the lounge, so it can sleep six, but only just! If just one bedroom is needed then we can open up the second bedroom via sliding doors to give one large lounge with panoramic sea views. So it is perfect for couples, or for small groups. We also have a cot and high chair available at no extra charge.

Additional Location Information
The Mashraba area is a quiet and clean area of Dahab on the seafront next to a beautiful and pristine stretch of coral reef, with soft and hard corals and an amazing variety of fish. The coral reef that is right on your doorstep is one of the best in the world - and you can be snorkelling on it 30 seconds after leaving the villa.
Dahab is a relaxed small coastal resort centred around snorkelling, scuba diving, exploring the mountains and desert and Bedouin way of life, windsurfing, swimming, or just relaxing on the beach or under the palm trees in one of the many beachfront cafes and restaurants.
It has grown from being a tiny backpacker hideaway but has kept its laidback charm, relaxed pace of life, and beauty - the incredible setting with the backdrop of the Sinai mountains behind the resort and the beautiful Red Sea coast with mountains that glow in the sunset on the other side of the Gulf of Aqaba is unbeatable.
Trips can be arranged by the hotel that adjoins the villa to Mount Sinai and St Katherines monastery, desert canyons and safaris, nature reserves, other snorkelling and diving sites such as the famous Blue Hole. Travel by jeep or by camel or taxi or spend an afternoon quad biking...or just enjoy relaxing and soaking up the scenery from the villa terrace.
Transfers
We can arrange transfers from Sharm el Sheikh airport to the villa - cost is about £20 total for a taxi or minibus and the transfer takes around an hour to an hour and a quarter. Quotes for transfers from other airports/locations available on request.

Bristol, United KingdomLovely apartment
Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We have just returned from staying at the Sea View villa for nearly 2 weeks. We have had a great time in Dahab - the apartment is in a good, quieter location and the terrace overlooking the sea is lovely. The Seaview hotel that the aparment is a part of, was not very busy and the restaurant was not open etc but the restaurant and staff next door at Ghazala more than made up for this with amazing breakfasts and we had room service a couple of times from them too. The kids loved the hot chocolate and pancakes at Ghazala and it was run by some very friendly people who were very helpful and well organised.
The Sea View villa has great snorkelling on calmer days a few minutes walk out to sea directly in front of the villa.
We also had great horse riding and diving, and would get a taxi to the Ibis hotel and pay for a days use of the hotels facilities and the Lagoon beach - a lovely spot for the kids to swim and play in the sand.
We loved Dahab and wish more tourists would venture a bit further out of Sharm! You need to be prepared for a lot of stray cats and a more "back packers" laid back vibe but it is a friendly, relaxing place. -

From watching the sun come up over the Red Sea to laying out on the terrace star gazing up into the Sinai sky at night - unbeatable beautiful.
Combine that with lovely open living space and a very funky bath view and it's a definite winner.
If you like friendly but not fussed over, chilled but not boring and every sort of food you could want within a few minutes walk - then go, you'll love it. -

We chose Sea View Villa after reading Trip advisor reviews. We needed three bedrooms and by utilising the sofas in the lounge we were all able to have our own space.
The large balcony is the best feature without doubt. From the balcony there are virtually uninterupted views of the sea, as well as offering privacy,a great sun trap and a wind shield.
The rooms were spacious, and every room had its own access to the balcony, althouth the master bedroom balcony was miniscule compared to the main balcony. There was a TV and we noticed a DVD player but didn't use it as we had no Dvds. There were a few English Speaking TV channels. The air Conditioning did its' job and the kitchen was adequate. We only used the toaster and the kettle (and the fridge) but there were microwave and cooking facilities. There were only just enough plates and cups.
The bathroom was a peculiar affair, with a step up and in shower. The floor became extremely slippery with all the water and steam.
The room was clean upon our arrival, but was not spotless. The staff from the hotel cleaned the room and emptied the bins if we asked them, but didn't bother otherwise. We changed our towels once in the week.
The hotel swimming pool was OK, and we had the pool all to ourselves most of the time. It was quite windy while we were in Dahab and nearly everything seemed to have a film of fine dust or sand on it.
The hotel staff were most friendly and obliging. On one occasion an untidy carpenter working outside the entrance to our apartment left nails, wood and sawdust all over the place, but when I pointed out to the hotel staff that this was a serious hazard at the top of the stairs it was cleaned up instantly - Egyptian style!! It is worth bearing in mind that this is not a five star resort, and it would be unfair to expect five star standards. Or even four star standards.
The Sea View Restaurant was closed while we were there, but the Ghazala restaurant next door had a laid back traveller type vibe. Another advantage of the Sea View was its proximity to all the best restaurants. Our personal favourites were Shark, Friends and Yummy Mummys, all within walking distance.
We did plenty of snorkelling off of the beach in front of the apartment, and the Coral was beautiful and plentiful. We did our diving with Sinai Divers at the Hilton Hotel which was a professional operation, although we met plenty of people that used local dive centres, much cheaper and without complaint.
All in all we were entirely satisfied with the apartment, and the main features would be the great balcony, the use of a swimming pool and the nearby restaurants within walking distance. It might be worth pointing out that should this apartment be booked on the dates that you might be looking for, the Sea View Hotel had an apartment below the one we stayed in. It was slightly more modern and spacious, but without the balcony.Response from Sarah Venis - 04/18/2012

Hello, I am glad you had a good holiday and enjoyed the villa and the balcony view in particular. Thankyou for your detailed comments - I will raise the cleaning with the villa management as they are contracted to clean the villa daily, please accept my apologies that you had to ask for this. And I am glad that the staff were helpful (as ever, they are very nice) and swift in dealing with the untidy carpenter! As I think you gathered sometimes things happen haphazardly in Egypt, and Dahab in particular. It is sometimes part of its charm but at other times not!
best wishes and I hope to see you at the villa again

WoodstockA Fabulous Villa - peaceful and private with stunning views
Left on 03/20/2012 for a stay in March 2012
A perfect place to relax and unwind, the villa met all our expectations. It is peaceful and very private. The view from teh terrace is stunning. We loved having breakfast and simple meals outside and also ate out in the huge variety of restaurants along the promenade.
I would definitely recommend the villa to friends who prefer to experience authentic Egypt rather than an all-inclusive holiday at one of the larger 5* hotels.
The hotel was in the middle of a staff changeover, but after the initial problems, which they sorted out, we were generally happy. Adel, the manager, looked after us very well.
It was quite windy during our stay, so we were unable to snorkel just below the villa, but we had some fantastic snorkelling elsewhere. It is worth mentioning that, even when really windy, the raised sides of the villa's terrace provide fantastic shelter, so the wind wasn't really a problem when we wanted to sunbathe.
We combined a trip to St Katherine's Monastery with a walk through the White Canyon (awesome!) following lunch in a Bedouin tent in the oasis; did a trip in a glass bottomed boat; and went snorkelling at the Three Pools and the Blue Hole. The Bedouin dinner was a bit of a disappointment (clearly ye olde imitation of the genuine thing!). We tended to book our activities through Dahab Safari Trips, who offered the most competitive prices (King Safari, Dyarna Safari and the Seaview Hotel were generally slightly more expensive).
We shopped for food in the large Ghazala Supermarket (adjacent to the fish statue in the centre of Dahab, just past the police station from memory). Next to it is the fabulous Ralph's German bakery where we bought our croissants every morning. Another shop deserving a mention is the Baclava stall in the market - delicious!
It is a wonderful villa which I would definitely recommend!

The owner, Sarah Venis, is totally hands on. She wants to know if housekeeping shows up, if there are bugs, is everything working well...the terrace has a gorgeous view and it is charmingly decorated. Two air conditioners, rudimentary but workable and totally fine kitchen, very comfortable!

My partner and I have just come back from Dahab where we stayed at the Sea View Villa.
We had a great holiday. The private terrace is amazing and we spent many hours there sunbathing and relaxing. As there was only 2 of us, the villa gave us plenty of accommodation. There are 2 proper bedrooms and the 3rd bedroom is the living room where there are 2 comfortable sofas. There was air con in the 2 bedrooms and a large fan in the living room/3rd bedroom. There was also a TV with satelite which had some English speaking channels. The kitchen facilities were adequate as we ate out all the time as it was really cheap to do so. All basic utensils, fridge and 3 ringed cooker were there. I don't think we cooked once...but took advantage of the fridge!!!
The overall style of the villa is Egyptian and has some lovely fixtures and fittings. It is a couple if minutes walk to the town and about 10 mins walk into the actual town centre. The location is great as it is in the quiet part of town. The pool in the hotel next door is a bonus. The manager ahmed and his team were very friendly and also nothing was a problem to them, we hired taxis from there...always ask the price and haggle if you think it's too expensive. Sarah the owner was also extremely helpful answering all sorts of questions before we left. We will definitely be coming back. The only reason I dropped a star is that I felt it was a 2 bed apartment not 3 as 2 people would have to sleep in the living room.Response from Sarah Venis - 10/02/2011

Hi Liz
thankyou very much for your review, so glad you had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the villa and Dahab, and that the staff were their usual friendly selves, I have passed on your review to them. I agree that it is a 2-bed plus convertible lounge- but we do get lots of groups that use the living room as a bedroom though I always warn them that that is a bit of a squeeze! Really look forward to welcoming you to Seaview again, and thankyou again for your custom
best wishes
