Science is a 2 bedroom apartment in the remote village of Dalavich, forming part of the old school, the area is ideal for those wishing to explore on foot ot bike and admire the local wildlife and stunning scenery on the banks of Lock Awe.

Dalavich is a delightful village with shop, church and cafe on the western banks of Loch Awe, 30 miles inland from Oban.

Inverliever Forest is close by with forest walks, cycle routes and nature trails where red squirrel, pine marten, osprey and golden eagles can regularly be seen, or meander up to Otter Point and Avich Falls.

Loch Awe is the third largest freshwater loch in Scotland and s...ome of the largest trout in Europe have been caught right here, salmon pass through the loch travelling from the River Awe to the River Orchy and the loch is home to several ruined castles on islands, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland, Kilchurn Castle, can be found at the northern end of the loch.

The Old School as the name suggests was formerly the village school but now provides comfortable accommodation for groups or families in one of the four apartments.

Each named after a traditional school subject, the apartments are furnished and equipped to a high standard in an area of peace and tranquillity.

The village, approached over 14 miles of single lane road with stunning scenery all the way, is the perfect base for those wanting to escape city life, you can walk or cycle for miles in any direction before coming across a shop, pub, restaurant or another human being.
