This three bedroom condo is located one-half way in between LA and San Deigo on the Pacific Coast. Dana Point is known as the most romantic city on the coast of Southern California. We are one hour and fifteen min. from LA and the same for San Deigo.
You can go to Disneyland, or Universial Studios, or Sea World in San Diego or Lego Land down the road in 20 nin. It is a great location and this three bedreoom condo is just across from the public Beach Access.

We absolutely loved staying at the beautifully appointed Ivory Coast so close to the beach and with a view of the ocean. We didn't want for anything and we slept well in lush and comfortable beds. We spent a lot of time at the beach, and walking the nature trail. We learned to paddle board at the harbor, went to Catalina for the day, and even ran the Turkey Trot! it's been our best family vacation yet.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles was wir benötigten war vorhanden und in gutem Zustand. Die Wohnung ist Super gemütlich und genau so wie auf den Bildern abgebildet. Der Weg zum Strand sind ca. 3 Minuten zu Fuss und alles Rund ums essen, tanken etc. erreicht man mit dem auto in weniger als 10 Minuten.

We arrived to find red velvet cupcakes and a huge apple pie on the huge dining room table. Everything was in wonderful condition, the kitchen had anything we could think of, the big screen tv (over 1000 channels) worked great, the washer and dryer were quiet and since we had been on the road for a while, we were pleased to find plenty of laundry soap. The bedrooms were comfortably furnished with a laptop provided in one room.
The condo complex has a large pool and two hot tubs and the child with us spent a lot of time there. It's on a bluff overlooking the beach and only a 5 minute walk down wide steps to the sand. A funicular (sideways elevator) took our older visitors most of the way down. The condo has plenty of toys and towels for the beach.
The owner was very gracious. She was available by email and phone so we never had a problem we couldn't solve. She's put a lot of work into making the place beautiful and comfortable and did a great job.
Side note: Stay away from albertsons and Gelsons grocery stores and use Trader Joe's and Stater Bros. instead. You can imagine how much 6 people can eat in a day so we saved a lot of money since we cooked almost every morning and evening. The Condo was extremely well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The pool is open daily between 8am and 10pm, we managed quiet swims at the beginning and end of the day and despite it being the height of the season we also found there was ample room in the pool and sufficient loungers during the day. We have stayed in numerous holiday rentals in UK, Europe and the States over the past 20 years and this Condo is the best equipped we have ever had. The internet access made planning trips so easy and also had the advantage of allowing our two teenagers to stay in touch with friends back in the UK also having all the beach equipment provided; including towels was a major advantage for us long haul travellers!
Just as important however were the little things; the bathrooms were fully supplied with toiletries, shampoo, shower gels and soaps, the kitchen was supplied with a full range of everyday cleaning products, all laundry products were supplied, there was sufficient toilet tissue, kitchen paper and bin bags to last us for our two week stay and to cap it all there was a well stocked larder cupboard with all the basics including herbs and spices.
Betha made a point of visiting us during our stay to check everything was OK and couldn't be more willing to help with anything if required; our deposit was credited back to the UK before we arrived back home!!
We used the Condo as a base to explore Socal, this being our first trip to Ca we did the usual, a trip to San Diego and Zoo, trips to la for Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Universal, but we also explored the local area, San Juan Capistrano has a very pretty historic mission as well as an attractive town centre and Temecula is worth a visit for reminders of the 'Wild West'. There are some fabulous beaches in the area, Crystal Cove is well worth a visit, we visited the local beach every day and even at weekends it was not over crowded.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and have already recommended it."

We found everything to be just perfect with our stay at Ivory Coast. The owner was prompt and informative with her emails and getting us set up. The home was even more delightful in person than online. It was roomy for the six of us - cozy and comfortable.
Incredible access to the beach. Beach chairs and boogie boards provided!
It just so happened to rain the entire weekend we were there, and it didn't matter one bit. We still went to the beach every day, went for walks, watched movies, and explored the city of Dana Point.
