All we could have hoped for

Welcoming and friendly. Superbly presented, well equipped cosy cottage. Open fire in lounge was very welcome due to severe weather at time of our visit. Big safe garden for dogs or children. Idylic village location with lots to see and do nearby. We particularly liked sitting in the window seat in the morning sunshine looking on to the beautiful courtyard and stable area. Would certainly recommend this cottage.

Lovely cottage, great location, convenient for attractions

Left on 08/26/2011 for a stay in June 2011

Cottage was lovely, owner friendly and approachable but not overbearing. Great to have some outside space and the ponies on the Sunday morning were a bonus! Very calming area and well placed for the moors. Lovely garden, would be great for children and/or dogs. Well equipped kitchen but it would have been nice to have some salt and pepper and some foil, its the sort of thing you forget to buy/take, and we would have used some foil in the oven/grill to keep it clean. We cleaned up after ourselves, but I know some people dont... Otherwise, overall, absolutely excellent

probably the friendliest people who own a holiday cottage!!

Left on 12/19/2009 for a stay in September 2009

From the 'word go' we found that the anticipation of our needs was excelent. The cottage was perfectly clean and well maintained. The food parcel provided was of the highest quality.
The dining area looked out on to the main interior cobbled yard and what a treat to watch a Blacksmith at work before setting out for the day in ideal countryside.
The cottage was well furnished, everything worked and all the comforts were there. The beds were comforable and there was more than enough room for our clothes etc.
All in all, I would say that this was the best cottage we have stayed in when everything was taken into account.
Please pass on our heartfelt thanks for a wonderful week to the owners from the three of us.
      Glyn Durrance
