      Mother - Daughter Excursion

Left on 01/16/2013 for a stay in November 2012

It was her idea (Tracy). She lives in Minnesota and wanted us to have some one on one time in SC. She researched aspects of the Gulah people and said that this would be a great time to learn more about them. What a great idea it turned out to be. The weather was perfect, Sapelo Island is beautiful and the services provided by High Tide were extraordinary. We requested a guided tour for Sapelo and the management at High Tide were very helpful in giving us the name of someone. The Cottage is very large and provided more than enough luxury than we needed. The town is quaint. Keep in mind, all this was done via web site and site unseen...Wow! we will be back.

      Amazing House in Darien, Ga

Left on 05/02/2012 for a stay in April 2012

This house has all you need for a base location for a few couples going to the coast. Whether it be a wedding weekend, fishing getaway, or just a family vacation, this house is right off the coastal highway, next to a great little restaurant to enjoy lunch, and down from Skippers Fish Camp. Capt. Andy Hill will go out of his way to make your stay as customized as you need it. The house was amazingly clean and provided all the amenities of your home. We comfortably set up the house for a 4 person family (2 teens), a couple, and two single guys for our wedding.

      Thanks andy for everything!

      Quiet Southern Stay

Left on 04/17/2012 for a stay in January 2012

We loved the 1940's style house, beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything you need to prepare meals with - it was a sunny, cheery home. The open floor plan allowed for great family time together. . We were especially pleased that the fenced in yard, complete with an exit door from the house, provided an easy way to care for our dog who came along with us. We tried the purple pickle eartery across the street the day we left and wished we had eaten there sooner, the food was great! This small cafe is convenient without adding noise or distraction from our stay. We drove to the beach at St. Simon's nearly every day, it is definitely do-able. There is not much in Darien, but be sure to go to B&J;'s for the fresh sea-food! The only negative is that we would have enjoyed more comfortable living room furniture.

      Great little cottage

Left on 04/16/2012 for a stay in September 2011

My family and I stayed here for a weekend when we came for
a "Celebration of Life" for my cousin. While it was not a happy time for us, we did enjoy the cottage. It was very neat and clean and only a few blocks from family members.
I would very much like to return for a happier reunion and would definitely stay her again.

      An awesome Base for adventure!

Left on 04/16/2012 for a stay in September 2011

I was selected for an gator tag this year & started looking for accommodations in the area for, not only my crew, but our wives as well. High Tide Cottage worked out better than we could have dreamed!

It is right in the middle of beautiful Darien, a very short stroll from the waterfront and surrounded by great shops & eateries, so while we were hunting & fishing, the ladies enjoyed the sights of the area & the outlet malls just a couple of miles away.

The cottage is very well furnished & comfortable. The ladies raved about the decor. All the cooking utensils you can imagine made our low country boils, flounder grilling (yes! the fishing was awesome as well) & other meals easy-breezy!

Capt. Andy is a great host & we will be back very soon!

By the way, I bagged my 1st Georgia gator as well! Awesome adventure out of High Tide Cottage!
