We are conveniently located in beautiful Darnley on the north shore of PEI surrounded by the island's most beautiful beaches. A great vacation location as nothing is too far away ~ 10 minutes to Kensington, 20 minutes to Summerside, 30 minutes to Cavendish, 50 minutes to Charlottetown and only 2 minutes to the BEACH!!

We stayed in the blue cottage for a few days in June, 2011. My parents were visiting from australia and we wanted them to experience the beauty of P.E.I. Darnley is a beautiful spot! The sunsets are amazing, the cottages are very well equipped, clean and modern. You will love these cottages if you want to experience what Prince Edward Island is all about. We will be back!

We stayed at the green cottage at The Shores at Darnley Cottage. It is a beautifully and tastefully decorated cottage with an open concept kitchen/eating/living area with an electric fireplace, a bathroom and bedroom on the main level. Beautiful views of the water and sunsets through the patio doors off the living area. Can't forget the washer and dryer. Upstairs in the loft area, is another living area with a TV, another bedroom and a bathroom with a deep jet tub. Awesome views of the water from the loft living area. Outside on the deck there is plenty of room for adirondack chairs and barbecue provided. The cottages are spread out nicely allowing lots of privacy. We can't wait to go back.

P.E.I. is beautiful so you expect your accomodations to be in sync with that. Comfort, cleanliness, open space, relaxing view ---all of that will be yours at Darnley cottages. There are no hassles at all when you stay in one of these unique, fully equipped cottages. You can't help but love it and wish you were able to stay longer. Everything is close by and yet you are away from it all.
Your memories will always go back to the time you spent because of the beauty and peace of the area and of the layout of these accomodations. Pack your bags and know that you will be free of worry when you arrive at your vacation home away from home. You'll love it. My sister and I absolutely would return in a heartbeat! -

We are currently getting ready for our 4th stay at the Shores at Darnley. We have taken our children and also gone just the grown ups. This next trip we are renting two cottages and bringing the extended family. The area is quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle of the bigger centers but is still close enough to allow for trips in.
There is a little par 3 golf course near by and a great family restaurant down the street, both of which add to the allure of staying close to the cottage for us.
The cottages are very funky and spacious and have everything you could need. The first year we brought lots of stuff with us and didn't need most of it. There are lots of beds and it is comfortable for lots of people, although a rainy day inside does get a little cramped it is far better than most cottages we have stayed at.
