Just 50 metres away is The Esplanade and Bicentennial Park whichfeatures excellent bike paths and walking tracks, plus a couple of hidden little beaches and of course wonderful sunsets over Darwin harbour and the Arafura Sea.
Located within the CBD, there are many great restaurants, cafes, shopping and the Mitchell Street bar strip on your doorstep.
For a Territory Adventure, Litchfield is an hours drive and an easy day trip. Kakadu is an hour and a half away. There are many fishing charters available, departing from Cullen Bay and "The Wharf", both just a few minutes away.
Darwin has a vibrant multicultural community, with excellent markets at Mindil Beach (dry season) and Parap. There are many quality art galleries which feature local contemporary and indigenous art.

Great location and excellent apartment
Three of us stayed in unit 48 and right from the start there were problems. There were no hairdryers in either bathroom, no internet (this was on the website as being available and was a requirement so we had checked before we booked), the BBQ had not been cleaned after previous occupier plus no guest compendium giving details of services available. We were staying for a week but did not see any extra towels or bed linen so we could at least change them if needed. Two calls finally resulted in only one hairdryer being dropped in 1 day later. It was equally as hard to get the internet facility as well in fact the managing agent informed us there was no internet. We referred her to their own website which clearly states there is. We hired a car and asked for a parking spot to be made available. We had enquired about this approx 1 week before we arrived however we did not receive a reply and again it was mentioned on their own website as being available. Once we finally got a return call from the managing agent we were advised that parking was not available the next day but we could have it for the balance of our stay and that the remote would be dropped off. Despite several phone calls the remote never arrived and we were forced to park in the street and feed the meter continually for the balance of our stay. This was very inconvenient as we were on holidays but had to be up and about by 8am to start feeding the meter! In desperation one day we approached the gardeners and asked if they had a contact number for the office as the mobile number we had just ignored my calls & the messages that were left. The number we were given was for the manager of the complex who was very helpful even though it was nothing to do with him and we finally had a parking spot for our last day! Heaven!!! He stated he wished he had known as we could have had it all along :( Likewise we wished we had known he even existed! The apartment itself is in a great location with many restaurants only a short stroll away. There is also a Coles supermarket across the road which is very convenient. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite and the other has a bathroom located down the hall past the laundry. The kitchen was well equipped for you to prepare your own meals if you want. Both bedrooms and the lounge room have their own split system air conditioner and they all worked well. The one in the main bedroom was very noisy and so it was a bit difficult to sleep with it going. All rooms also have ceiling fans. Since the apartment was on the 6th floor there was no noise when the doors and windows were closed except for occasionally from Monsoons bar just down the road (very popular with backpackers).All in all the extreme difficulty in communicating with the managing agent and their lack of response spoilt what should have been a lovely stay. I would recommend the apartment itself but certainly not the managing agent.

I'm so sorry this guest had this experience. We have subsequently changed management agents and hope the new agent provides a better and more responsive service to our guests. I am also personally following up with everyone who stays in this property to ensure they are happy both with the apartment and the service provided. Car parking for 1 car is provided, and a prepay USB internet connection is also provided. All airconditioners have been serviced. Once again, I'm sorry the communication issues spoilt what should otherwise have been an excellent holiday in an excellent apartment, but I am confident the new agent will provide better service.
