Really big, nice condo. A bit hard to find at first but was worth finding.A bit far from Disney but the condo makes up for that. It is a gated community. We stayed in an end unit so no one was above us. It was very quiet. If we were in Florida again would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 5 traveled to Orlando over Spring Break 2012. The 2 bedroom condo with 2 full baths worked out great for us. The rooms were spacious and clean. The resort offered several pool areas to pick from, all close enough to walk to. The route to Disney was fast and easy so we never lost much time traveling. It was always nice to come back to the condo after a busy day to rest and relax around the pool.

We enjoyed the unit and found the location to be close to all the activities we had planned. There were also several restaurants close by so we didn't have to drive too far looking for a place to eat. The "nature walk" was great and gave us a chance to get in our daily walk.
The only negative was an inconsiderate neighbor who allowed their older children to disturb other residents with loud and drunken behavior. However, they left after our third day there and the rest of our stay was uneventful. We had plenty of quiet relaxing time also.

We loved the large living area and full kitchen. We don't like to eat out when we travel. The washer and dryer were execellent and allowed us to dry out after a rainy day. Close to shops and all the attractions. Pool was perfect after walking all day. We have already recommended it to others.

Our family of 4 stayed in a two-bedroom condo for a week long theme park vacation. The resort and the condo were very nice. Very clean and well maintained. You will need a car if going to WDW as it's about 15 minutes to the park grounds (then more time to get to each park). The complex is a bit isolated, but you can stop at stores and restaurants on the way home. The kitchen was stocked with cooking and eating utensils but no soft items or condiments. Nothing like foil or bags. No spices. You have to supply everything. But much better than a hotel. Price was as good or better than many hotels and we got two rooms, bathrooms, full kitchen, living room. Now we can save leftovers and can have breakfast before leaving for the day. There are complexes that are closer to the parks, but the price goes up as you get closer. I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed at Bahama Bay as part of our Disney vacation. The location was great for accessing all of the parks within just a short drive. The resort was beautiful and quiet. Our condo was well furnished and clean. We did not spend much time at the resort or our condo as we spent the vast majority of our time at the Disney Parks, but it was nice to be able to come back to nice accomodations with a kitchen, separate bedrooms and in-room laundry. Kendall was very easy to work with and even accommodated our need to change dates without issue. Our only issue was having to wait a lengthy amount of time to check after arriving very late at night.

We stayed for four weeks at Bahama Bay and have booked for an additional six weeks next year. I had also booked the site unseen for the first time for some friends which they also rebooked for six weeks as well. When speaking to this party which arrived before us by a week told us that our onsuite was fit for a szar. It is hard not to rebook when you see all that is there. Restaurants are on site. Our families also joined us and all enjoyed their stays and were sad when it was time to leave. Bahama Bay is just a few minutes away from all the Disney parks. The pools were great and many poolside chairs were available. We enjoyed the free coffee and tea which was available to us 24 hours a day in the lobby. On the offchance that something should happen the maintance staff is there to attend to it. We enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to it next year.

This resort was perfect for our trip to FL. It was less than 15 min, easy drive to Disney with shopping conveniently located nearby. The condo itself was very clean; the staff was helpful and polite. We had an issue with the garbage disposal and it was fixed promptly. The pools and grounds were well maintained. The splash area looked like fun for younger kids. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again!

The service at reception was excellent. The 3bedroom was huge! So spacious and clean. Loved having the laundry room - went home after vacation with no washing to do! Always plus when have children. The villa/apartment had everything u needed. It was home from home.
The swimming pools were lovely however not much shade available if u have a baby/child.
I would definitely recommend this if wanting to visit disney and them parks. You will definitely need a car to stay here though.

We rented this beautiful condo in February 2012. We went to Disney for our daughters 1st Birthday and the cono exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect floor plan for 2 families. We had plenty of room and privacy. We enjoyed the pool as well. Nothing but great things to say about this condo.

My family and I (myself, husband and two children...7 and 10 yrs. old)visited Sea World, Discovery Cove and a few other parks this year. We decided to try Bahama Bay Resorts and were pleasantly surprised at the tropical landscaping, multiple pools, on-site pizza delivery, outside bar & grill, spa services and the very spacious 3 bedroom unit. This was perfect for our family! We spent a few days just at the resort because the kids enjoyed the pool so much. The location was close to all of the local attractions and good resturants. We enjoyed our stay so much that we actually looked into possibly buying a unit here. For the quality, price and location...this is a great resort!

Probably the best holiday ever. Accommodation was easy to find, and provided plenty of space - american super size definately applies here. Pool around the corner from apartment and restaurants on site - if your too tired after a long day to go out. Numerous other restaurants very close ( 5 - 10min car journey ) and all adventure parks easily accessable via good road network connections within 30 mins. In summary couldnt fault the accommodation, location or the service received - thank you

This was our 3rd stay at the Bahama Bay, and once again we had a fabulous holiday. The resort has everything we need, and the kids love the pools, especially the one at the club house.
The Bahama Bay is very well situated and travelling to the parks is straightforward. The resort is set out exceptionally well,the grounds are well maintained and the staff are very helpful.
The apartments themselves are very well appointed, nicely presented, and clean. Our home from home in Orlando!
This was our second year booking through Kendall and Gary and, as previously, the entire process from booking to checking in was smooth and hassle free.
We will definitely stay there again. -

Lovely resort - our second visit so knew what to expext. Unit was superb - all we needed and more. Only downside was noise levels from guests in unit above us. Ideal for parks, Int Drive, shops and other main routes. Will definately need a car if staying here but all attractions reasonable drive away and its a lovely retreat after busy day at parks. Staff were really helpful and very efficient.

We went to Bahama Bay the month of March 2011. We booked the unit after emailing and talking to Kendall. The weather could not have been better. The service from the resort was fantastic. We had so much room and a wonderful outdoor patio that is completely screened in. While there a number of teen boys were there involved with a baseball tournament. We were never bothered by them and they used all the facilities like we did. That showed us the resort is very well run.
I can't say enough about our holidays at Bahama Bay. We had visits from friends and family who were impressed with our unit and how close it was to the pool.
We are planning on returning in 2012.

Bahama Bay Resort looks like a 'luxury' resort (as it is advertised) from the brochure photos but we felt these were a bit misleading The pools are much smaller than they look there is a tiny 'beach' and although it is indeed 'on a lake' you can only access a very small area from a fishing jetty. We were expecting the resort to be much more vibrant. We thought 'Tradewinds' looked very 'tired' and gloomy and was certainly not the standard of restaurant we would expect in a luxury resort. Why do the pools close so early? We were told to get out in no uncertain terms by 2 quite unfriendly members of staff. Whilst the general standard of cleanliness was good there were several 'unpleasant' small things - food dried onto table mats shower creme from previous guests on tiles and the divans were very grubby and unpleasant to look at and desperately need replacing also the towels are very thin and when washed 'fluff' comes off them all over the place We had our last few days spoiled by children running around upstairs we could not have tolerated that all through our stay It was like a herd of elephants Finally we were horrified that there were no recycling facilities

We are really sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. All of the photos on our website are taken by us and have not been changed in any way. If you have seen other advertising from travel agents etc then I cannot speak for them and how they are representing the resort but we personally do not try to mislead guests.
Whereas most resorts have 1 large pool Bahama Bay has 4 good sized pools so the guests have a choice and don't all have to use the same one. In my experience everyone has a favourite that they like to revisit. Of course with the man-made beach it isn't a large area but is adequate for children to play on and parents to look out to Lake Davenport whilst keeping an eye on their children.
You can go fishing in the lake but because there are alligators in the Lake Davenport it isn't possible to open up the whole area, hence the gate to the dock. It's important to keep the gators out and to stop people going for a swim for their own safety but of course guests can go fishing from the safety of the dock.
The pools close before the sun goes down for safety reasons. I realise that this can be frustrating if you have been at the parks all day and want to have a swim on your return but safety has to be taken into account where water and children are involved and the staff take this very seriously. There are signs on the gate to the pools that state what time they close.
We appreciate your comments and strive to improve the resort where we can and so I will be forwarding your feedback to the resort and will pass on any response I receive from them.

We (2 adults and 2 children 6, 3) stayed at the resort as a getaway for the days when we were not visiting Disney/Universal/Seaworld, etc and it is perfect for this. It is a very laid back resort - far enough from all the hustle and bustle without being too far from the parks. Disney is approx 20 mins and Universal is approx 30 mins - 5 or 10 mins more if you plan to head to the parks at opening times So not very far at all but worth knowing given that you will be on your feet all day at the parks. The route is very straightforward and there are endless restauraunts for breakfast or dinner along the way.
The resort has a number of pools - all of which are within easy reach (looks much further on the map! We stayed near the front of the resort and walked to tradewinds in approx 5 mins) The 2 main pools (at tradewinds restauraunt and next to the club house) have music playing in the background are naturally busier. However, we found our pool to be very quiet - we were the only ones in the pool on 2 occaisions and during our 3 week stay, all the loungers were only taken once. There is also a beach area - this is next to the lake but doesn't slope down to the water as it would on a beach. It is seperated from the lake by greenery but has umbrellas, padded sunbeds and with the advantage of being set back from the pool, it is a very relaxing area.
The resort and accommodation is extremely clean and tidy and the accommodation is very spacious (the Gran Bahama is enormous - even by us standards!) and you will find it supplied with everything you need.
The resort staff are all very friendly and also knowledgable about the area, etc - plus they don't mind being asked!
Only used the restaurants (mambos for lunch and tradewinds for dinner) on a few occaisions but the food was very nice and enough variety for the few times we used them. They also have meals for children (mac and cheese, pizza, burgers, nuggets, etc).
There is a shop on site but it is very small and only has a limited amount of supplies. However, there are publix (2 mins drive) and wal mart (5 mins) supermarkets close buy - both of which have everything you will need and very cheap.
The only negative thing I would say is avoid the end of a row if you can as there is generator type equipment based there and it can be a little noisy - other than that it is perfect. We have stayed at this resort twice in the past 8 years and will definitely return. -

Bahama Bay Resort is a beautifully kept facility only minutes away from all the excitement of Downtown Orlando. It has beautiful grounds, and well kept pools-the beach is a nice touch as well. The three level villas would have been a nice thing to know upon our reservation process (no elevator access) This might be hard for someone that has some health issues in the heat/humidity of Florida air to travel with their luggage up three flights of stairs. We were told that we had a lake view and we had a view of the back neighborhood and some brush. We also have never rented a place that had no supplies-dish washing liquid, soap, etc. It just was hard to come to our home away from home for a week and the first thing we have to do is shop for supplies. That has never happened to us before. But, we managed through it. The villa was clean, and well kept. The price was good for the week and location. The staff always seemed overwhelmed when we saw them. They were hardly around. The people that we saw the most were the security guards and grounds crew who seemed to be doing an awesome job. The arcade was a bust for the kids-machines were mostly broken and employee could not help us. We just felt like we were on our own mostly to figure things out upon arrival. If we come back again, we would request a first floor only, make sure that someone speak to us in detail about the activities for the week upon arrival, and really understand that we are starting with the bare bones upon our rental.

I'm sorry that you were disappointed with the location of the apartment. We do have apartments with Lake Views but as this was a short notice booking and the resort was extremely full it wasn't possible to place you in a lake view unit. Please feel free to contact me direct as I would be interested to know who lead you to believe otherwise.
The shop onsite has all the essentials that you may need during you stay and they are open long hours to enable you to purchase what you need. I understand that this isn't always the best option when you are only staying for a few days.
I will certainly pass your comments onto the management team as it is unaccepted that you weren't offered much help with regards to the defective arcade game.
We appreciate your feedback and will certainly follows this up. We hope you will consider booking with us again and although there aren't any 3 bed Gran bahamas on the ground floor we would certainly offer you a 3 bed Abacos which is ground floor.

This beautiful, airy , stylish apartment had everything we could have hoped for and was excellent value for money. We would recommend this without question. Our 4 year old loved the pool, and it was lovely to come back here to some calm after a day at the themeparks.

Our condo was very spacious and wonderful. I miss the screened-in porch! The resort was well maintained and clean. The pools were wonderful. The fitness area was also nice. The resort is only 15 minutes to Disney World. The staff at the resort were nice and booking the condo was very easy.

at arrival to the complex we were met at a gate by a very cheerful,helpful lady. this set a tone of "we are safe and cared for". check-in was quick and friendly. the unit was very clean and furnished o.k. the a.c. unit failed at 7pm but a service man was prompt and had the unit added refrigerant. only problem is the complex was laying him off. that is a mistake - he was prompt, knowledgeable, and customer-orientated. 2 minor problems were also fixed quickly.

My wife and I and our three daughters (10, 13 and 14) stayed at Bahama Bay during the kids spring break. We found the unit to be very nice and roomy - a lot for not a lot of money. Internet access and cable TV also made the kids happy.
The resort is well kept and the facilities are good. Location-wise, it's about a 10 to 15 minute drive to Disney and about 30 to 40 minutes to Universal, depending on the traffic. A couple of large supermarkets are nearby which is a plus.
There were a few negatives, though not enough to prevent our staying again. First, the resort seemed to have rented most of the rooms to college students in town for some kind of event. They were not particularly considerate of the families there with kids. They tended to take over the pool areas and I could have done without the raunchy language we heard seemingly everywhere I went with my ten year old daughter. The resort staff seemed to be completely absent in the pool areas.
It would have been nice to have had shampoo/conditioner and soap in the unit.
Otherwise, a nice stay and a good value. We would likely stay here again, but probably not during spring break. -

This facility was very nice, room was clean and amenities were very good. Only had 2 real issues with our stay at the Bahama Bay. Internet access is appeared to be extremely limited in that it is only available in the club houses as we had no access from our room which was extremely inconvenient. The only other issue was that the service staff at the desk while nice were not particularly attentive and always seemed to be preoccupied requiring us to stand there for protracted periods of time.

We had a great experience here. The whole facility was very clean; the amenities were fabulous - several pools and hot tubs, a nature trail, gorgeous landscaping. The store onsite is the best I've seen - very practical and not at all overpriced. you can buy sunblock, deodorant, wine, mac & cheese, ice cream, detergent - you name it! My kids (14, 12, and 9) loved playing basketball and having the freedom to roam independently.
We went to Universal Studios several times during our stay, and the drive took about 30 min (which is what was advertised). That was sort of a pain, but the price was so fabulous it was easy to overlook.
Had lunch at Mambo's one day - the food was pretty mediocre, but the service was top notch, as it was throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend Bahama Bay - it allows you to spend much more while on vacation, and is a neat vacation in and of itself. The rental process was easy, and not having to clean the condo as we left was a huge perk (hard to do when you are packing up and facing a full day's drive!).

We have stayed in the Gran Bahama apartment 3 years running now and find it to be everything we could hope for as a holiday venue for our family and 2 small children! Gary and Kendall are great to deal with and provide every kind of help you could wish for. The condos are kept to a very high standard and the position of Bahama Bay makes it central to Disney World and many, many types of restaurants and shopping malls and yet you are tucked away in lovely surroundings - who could want more? Will certainly be making a Sixth visit - Highly Recommended. -

The Grand Bahama, 3 bedroom apartment was excellent and extremely spacious - just as it appears in the photos - also very well equiped with quality furniture and accessories including the kitchen.
The resort too was just what we wanted, although all apartments were full, there was no overcrowding whatever and the facilities were great.
We are looking to book again for 2011 and I would highly recommend the Bahama Bay. -

We first visited Bahama Bay back in 2004 and found the resort so good that we have been back every year since. In fact this year we booked for 6 weeks.
The apartments are massive and are fully furnished that you want for nothing, you don't even need to take towels!!
The grounds are beautifully kept and there is a 24 hour security gate at the entrance. We have always found the resort staff to be very helpful indeed.
For those who like to wind down at night there are two bars and the bar staff are very friendly.
Nearby are supermarkets and plenty of places to eat.
Disney is about 15 Mins away with Universal about 30 Mins.
I would always recommend that you hire a car to get you about as the Orlando area is vast, for Instance Disney World is 49 square miles alone!!!
Over the last 17 years we have stayed in many Hotels/Apartments but Bahama Bay is without doubt the best.
We have already booked for another 6 weeks Sepember/October 2011 -

We enjoyed a great vacation at Bahama Bay in a nice furnitured and fully equipped spacy 2-bedroom appartement. Friendly staff and a Resort we fell in love with from the very first moment.
A nice heated pool and even a sandy beach turned our 4 week vacation into a perfect experiance.
We decided to return in 2011 - already for the third time. -

The apartment was very clean, it had all the mod cons you would need for a family, it was spacious and fully furnished and very nicely decorated.
The resort was great, the pools and beach area were lovely, the lake was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The resort was under 30 mins away from all the major attractions which was excellent, we really would recommend Bahama Bay to anyone, and will certainly stay again if we ever decide to visit Orlando!

Compared to many other resorts in Orlando region, Bahama Bay is easily one of the best resorts in that price range. Nice, clean modern houses located in middle of all interesting things and relatively close to Downtown Orlando. Year after year, I love to return to Bahama Bay, and I can highly recommend it to everyone else.

For the last 4 years we have stayed at Bahama bay 6 times and were fortunate to stay in all the different types of apartments on offer at the resort.We have found all the apartments owned by Gary & Kendall to be tiptop condition and an advantage is you get to choose which block you'd prefer to stay in with the amount of propertys they have there.The resort itself is brilliant plenty of pools to choose from,a beach area,shop,cinema,gym and spa it is that good that you could actually stay there 14 days and not have to leave the resort.We actually stay there and some days drive 15 mins into Disney another day go to a beech another day golf infact i wont go on anymore just book one of these apartments and have the holiday of a lifetime.

We've actually stayed at Bahama Bay twice now. The first time in March 2007 when we came with other family members and our children for our wedding. It was perfect.
So perfect that we returned again this year in Feb and we stayed in the exact same apartment (Gran Bahama). As a family we couldn't recommend Bahama Bay enough. The only down side being that there is so much to see and do in Orlando that we wish we had spent more time at the resort too : )
Our kids are now 8 and 11 and in their words one of the best parts about Florida is Bahama Bay.
We can't wait to go again.
