We stayed from aug 31 to Sept 6, 2010. Party of 5 adults, i child and 1 infant. Overall we were happy with the home. It was a nice and quiet area located very close to I 4 and us 27. Disney, Universal and the Outlets were all within 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. Here is my major complaint ... the master Bedroom mattress was not comfortable and should be replaced. Here are the other 2 minor complaints 1) the whirlpool in the pool did not work. 2) the floor on main floor needed to be mopped, the only reason we noticed this was because my 14 month old daughter had blacken hands and knees after she crawled around the kitchen, dinning and living room. The only thing that would stop me from returning to this unit would be the Master Bedroom Mattress, after a long day of running around the parks or Outlets, you really need a comfortable bed to sleep on, to get you ready for the next day.

Overall the villa reached a standard of barely 3*. The whole villa appeared just less than clean with the pool area having ingrained filth on the surface. Not to mention the eating surface of the pool table which initially appeared to have some sort of fungus developing on its surface. The pool was never serviced during our stay and the jacuzzi was no more than an ornament in the corner of the pool. Internally the standard unfortunately did not improve. With more than 20yrs within the construction industry I have never seen such poor finishing on fixtures and fittings. This was manifested in broken or missing appliances and to cap it all at one stage a door completely fell off its hinges on to of my wife. It took this particular episode to get some response (only 2 days later) from the Contempo rep who appeared to think his job was solely to socialise with the tour operators reps at their offices. On the whole we were not impressed at all with Contempo or its properties and will definitely not be recommending them in the future.

The villa was great for our 2 week vacation. It was roomy, tidy and comfortable with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, more than ok for our party of 6 adults. The villa had ALL the appliances you would expect and self catering was easy(only take 1 week of clothes as you can wash/dry them easily and you can always buy more as they are so cheap compared to the UK - watch your luggage weight tho). The staff at the airpot/villa registration place were helpful and keen to show an interest in what we were planning to do, saving us time and money in the process. The facilities were great, the only issue being that the whirlpool in the pool did not work and there was no safe. Having said that, these were not important enough for me to make enquiries about as Florida has so much to offer and do that the villa was mainly a place to crash. We stayed just off exit 58 off the I4 which was close to the main parks but away from the bustle of some locations and there were plenty of shops for essentials and more within a third of a mile. The best thing about our stay was that we enjoyed everywhere we went, be it the parks, beaches, shops or lighthouses(bit random I know but we managed to see 7 while we were there - my wife loves them), and this is mainly due to the people, everyone was so friendly and welcoming and it made us all realise how uptight and grumpy people back home can be(including ourselves sometimes). Take my advice spread a little of the same and it'll come back from others.
The worst thing was the flight home, which doesn't count I suppose, so I'd have to say....the queues at Universal, but even they weren't to bad, or maybe the two days bad weather. Also we got lost on day 2 but this was due to a diversion and not being used to the roads and signs so getting lost for 2 hours. Highly recommended for the people, the villa, the beaches and the parks and we WILL be coming back as there is so much more to do than can be done in two weeks. DO IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

This was an excelent property and we had a wonderful holiday while we staid there. We arrived late evening from England and had to go shopping for food as soon as we arrived. Can you please improve your welcome pack to tide future renters over night to save shopping on day of arrival.
