We were so surprised. It was a great value for the money, we will never stay in a hotel again! Check in was super easy. We had an issue with the tv and the property manager was there super fast to fix the minor problem. The home was super clean have absolutely nothing to complain about on the cleanliness of the home. The location worked great for us we could be just about anywhere within 20 minutes. The parks were even closer but you could leave all that behind and go "home". Having a private pool outside your door was the absolute best. We actually didn't do everything we planned in Orlando, we chose to just relax out by the pool. The lanai area was great, the screen around the pool shows a little wear but the patio furniture was brand new. This was our first time renting a home we were very apprehensive, Stoneman vacation Villas is a company we would definitely use again. We can not wait to rent a home for our next vacation.

The location of this home is great. I felt the kitchen could have been stocked better. I had to buy my own measuring cups. When it comes to the refrigerator settings and air conditioning setting there is need of improvement. The settings they want you to keep these units at should be raised. The refrigerator does not cool well and you can get very uncomfortable in the home with the high setting you are allowed to keep the air unit on. Pool or no pool the inside of this house was not cool on the high temp days. Around the pool they should replace some of the furniture and fix the screening on the enclosure. I expected more for the money I paid. And someone should really have the carpeting cleaned. It was not your cleanest.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you felt that the kitchen could be stocked better but it is a vacation home so we only provide the basics that you would need to cook your meals. However, we always ask you to give us a ring if you feel something is missing and we would have been more than happy to help out where we could .
The refrigerator should have been functioning properly so I will get someone to check that as soon as possible so the next guests are not having the same problems.
With regards to air conditioning, I agree it was extremely hot recently and most air conditioning units were struggling to cope but that is what Florida is well known for is the hot tropical days. The air conditioning limits have to be set because to go lower than those settings would cause the unit to break down and then there would be no air conditioning at all but we are sorry to hear you were uncomfortable with the heat. October - March are probably the best times to visit if you like cooler weather where it is still warm enough for t shirts and shorts but not the full tropical heat that we have here in Florida in the hotter months.
You will be pleased to hear the owner agreed with you and has purchased new furniture for the pool area and that is now in place. We do have the carpets cleaned regularly so I will get someone to check that, but as I said please, please let us know during your stay if you are unhappy and we will always do our best to deal with any problems there and then so you can enjoy your stay! -

Great experience with this 8 night rental. Chrzstine is great to deal with, very easy to keep in contact with her to set up the rental and she was available after we arrived for our stay.
The house is lovely! 3 bedrooms with 2 full baths. Fully equipped kitchen with lots of living space. Plenty of towels for all. Great in ground pool with a screen enclosure to keep little critters away...
Home was 15 minutes to Disney and 25 to Universal. All 6 of us enjoyed our stay and we'd recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing comfortable stay near Orlando!!Response from Stoneman Vacation Villas - 06/02/2013

We found this rental through a general Internet search - the villa we had initially enquired about was unavailable but the agent suggested this one as an alternative. I'm pleased she did! The booking process was very straightforward and the agent was easy to contact and very responsive. The villa is on a smallish estate within a 20-40 minute drive to Disney and Universal and backs onto a golf course. It's a nice and convenient location with good local supermarkets and restaurants. The villa itself is clean, well equipped, spacious and comfortable - great for our family with 2 older teenagers and an 11 year old.
Best - proximity to all amenities (including the local applebee's restaurant), comfort of the villa
Worst - the daily drive along the 192 (it's a busy road, lots of traffic lights and lots of hold ups - but worth the wait to get to the attractions!)Response from Stoneman Vacation Villas - 06/02/2013

Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you had a good stay with us and thank you for your kind comments but I am sorry that you missed the quick route to Disney. I will make sure the booklet still has the page showing the new route but it is only 10 minutes from the home on the toll road (costs $1 for one toll booth). It means you are only on the US192 for a few miles on the quieter end so it is very quick. You must try it on your next stay! Come back and see us soon.

Christina, Lewis and the other staff are always very friendly, accomadating and at your service. They even answer questions concerning any day trips. The home and property are very well maintained. This is a home not just a vacation rental. Having your own heated pool just outside your backdoor without having to go to the community pool is a blesing. There is a Walmart just 2 miles to the north, Publix is only 2 miles to the south and another 2 miles to the east. Disney properties are only 10 minutes away.

It was everything we expected plus more. Very quite naborhood but close to everything. The people were very nice and took care of every need. A lot better then staying in a hotel. Pool was very clean and refreshing

Rented this home to stay at while visiting Disney. Spent everyday at Disney during the trip. Would have liked to be a little closer to the parks, but commute wasn't too bad. Close to shopping and grocery stores.

Thank-you Christine & Lewis for introducing us to the Davenport area. Your rental home was so comfortable and well equipped. The pool was a
treat for we Snowbirds. We were so close to everything, from, Publix to Disney. There were some many wonderful restaurants close by or we could use the very well equipped kitchen. Being on the golf course was wonderful, lots of fun and a great place to view many different birds. We are so glad we have booked again with Stoneman for 2013 as we know we will be well taken care of.
