This place was amazing. Was perfect for a girls weekend away of relaxing and unwinding. Everything is set out perfect and love the fact that the main sitting area has not TV. Meaning everyone has to be social and enjoy each others company. The price you pay to stay was fantastic! Would stay here again definitely! (:

Looking for a hideway to have some well needed R&R; this was it. Surrounded by native trees and bush u feel miles away from anywhere. It was a lovely inside and has everything you need to have a have relaxing romantic getway, whether sitting infront of the wood fire or sharing a bottle of bubbly in the spa.
Well appointed kitchen and mod cons and only a short drive to denmark.
Was a terrific place, exactly what we needed. Cant wait to get back there sometime soon. -

We have stayed at annicca for the last 4 years and would recommend it for anyone who wants to be close to the beach, but with the privacy of the bush. A lovely kitchen, large bedrooms and full size pool table make it a perfect stop for families. We have always enjoyed our stays here immensely.

Left on 03/25/2013 for a stay in March 2013
As soon as you arrive you are made to feel very Welcome. The house is very homely and straight away you start to relax and how could you Not with all those trees around you! The kichen is very well equipped with plenty of tables to choose to dine. And if you are still not relaxed try out the beautiful New Spa with complementary glass of Champaign. And try out a stroll on the many beautiful beaches. Need a little to do, then try out the local produce like the Yummy cheeses, fudge, honey, etc etc and don't forget all the wineries. The only thing that is hard to get use to is the water is different and is brown-but hey that isn't anyones fault! And you can live with it. We have visited Denmark five times now and found it a very beautiful relaxing place to go.

Beautiful private house surrounded by bushland, birds and the smell of the bush. This house has everything provided for you for a relaxing getaway with friends or family. We visited the wineyards, treetop walk, had a swin at Green Pools, which was the highlight for me, Albany etc. Our three nights were very comfortable in the house combined with great food, wine and music. Will most definately book this house again sometime.

Left on 02/05/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Annicca is such an amazing and incredible place of nature, beauty and calm that made our time in Demark very special. The big beautiful kitchen and outdoor table meant we spent alot of time outside watching birds, breathing deeply and enjoying the eucalypt infused fresh air. The kids loved exploring in nature and parents were thrilled that their was no big screen Tv's in the family room. My husband and I spent some fun/quality time playing pool, it seem he hasn't lost his touch. The master bedroom and balcony was an adults santuary, no one wanted to leave.

If you are looking for peace and quiet then annicca is one of those places.
Surrounded by bush and away from the madding crowd, and close enough to the beach, township and awesome wineries it is heaven.
The house is extremely well equiped for a comfortable stay.
An enormous spa in the downstairs bathroom in total seclusion.
Spoilt for choice where to eat, 2 inside eating nooks or out on the patio for a barbeque under the stars. -

Perth, AustraliaA rainbow of natural hues suffused with an aura of calm
Left on 01/19/2013 for a stay in November 2012
We had a wonderful stay in late November. Although the property is located surprisingly close to town, it feels enveloped in wilderness. The short jaunt to Ocean Beach is a window on the rugged coast so close to forest, one of the natural attributes that makes this region so special. No less special is this cottage which is spacious without being over-imposing, and offers lots of nooks and crannies for privacy even with a larger group. It is obvious that the home is nurtured, and it in its turn nurtures the visitor.
There were ample instructions for the many features, and many things to discover, such as a fully equipped picnic set. Audio-visual technology was readily on tap, or could be dispensed with as the setting invites a more reflective pace
.
We met a delightful local lady at a weekend fundraiser for the Great Southern Sea Shepherd Chapter (the Tourst Bureau recommended this event at a nearby Brewery), and by sheer coincidence she turned out to be annicca's caretaker as we found out on the day of departure.

Left on 12/28/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We stayed with young children, grandparents and person with disability and the place met all our needs as an extended complicated family. Was a beautiful setting and when you first walk in you think how lucky you are to have stayed there. The kitchen was so good that we never even ate out at all for our whole stay. The boys spent many hours exploring the bush and despite the disagreement with a few ant bites still went back for more. I slept so well during my stay, and the fact there was not tv in a family areas meant no TV for the little ones.
This place is quite special. -

My husband and I stayed at annica with our 2 young children. It was fantastic, the kids loved it, there was plenty of room in the house for them to play and explore, it was extremely clean and tidy and having all the beautiful big windows throughout the house realy made us feel like we were "getting back to nature". Close proximity to town and the beach made for a wonderful long weekend away - highly recommended.

We stayed for a week in annica, and from the moment we enter the house we loved it. The wood floors and numerous windows, makes you feel you are part of the surrounding bush. Upstairs the master room is quite amazing and you get to see the ocean (though a bit far). Ocean beach is very close and we love the Wilson inlet, so we went there often.
The kitchen was awesome and very spacious, and even with us being a large group of 8 the sensation was of comfort and peace.
the fireplace is great and warms up the house quickly, even on rainy nights. everything work well and we enjoyed the spa the most.
Marian was very helpful and kind and I do encourage that you contact her directly as it is the best way to book the place and enjoy your holiday.
100% recommended. We will be coming back. -

Stayed at annicca with my family on aug 20-22, 2012. It was an excellent holiday. Annicca is an awesome place to stay, where the premises is surrounded with tranquility that you can enjoy while you are relaxing inside the gorgeous spa. With three spacious bedrooms to accommodate up to 8 adults and two babies. We enjoyed the uniqueness and the antiquity of the furniture and design the place offers.
Returning from annicca we immediately shared our experience there to our friends and recommended them to stay there while they are in Denmark.
Thank you to Marian (the owner) for given us great service and fabulous accommodation. It was a holiday that we will never forget. -

What was it that my husband and I loved most?...the glass skylights that allowed views of the stars and clouds? Its use of solar panels and rain tanks? Being surrounded by trees everywhere you looked? It is too hard to decide!
The house is clean, comfortable and welcoming, the linen clean and fresh. The massive kitchen was lovely to cook in, and the comforts of home were everywhere we looked. I highly recommend this property. We have been to Denmark over 7 times and this is by far our favourite place to stay. We will definitely be coming back! -

We stayed at annicca for 3 nights in July, with our 9 month old son... overall it was a fantastic stay, and just what we were needeing to unwind. the house was great, kitchen awesome, and spa the icing on the cake.. Our only gripe was also the additional cost of firewood, which was not mentioned or outlined prior to booking... it is kind of like charging extra for gas to cook with...upon arriving at annicca at 2:30pm on a chilly winters afternoon, the first thing i did upon entering the house was to go about lighting the fire to warm the house up.. this was when i discovered the $10 per bag cost of firewood.. so not the best welcome surpise within 3 minutes of entering the house... but apart from that everytning else was fine.. would highly reccommend staying here, but can only urge the owner to be up front about all costs involved with staying here.

very nice cottage, the pool table entertained us on rainy nights and the spacious kitchen was great too. i did not expect having to pay extra for wood to heat up the house as it is winter and heating was needed. some areas could have been cleaned a bit better as well. as a whole the positives outbalance the negatives and i think it was a terrific place to stay. very much loved it and highly recommend it to anyone going to Denmark. thank you

We've just come back from a very peaceful and relaxing week at annica. There was so much room for my three young boys to run around and explore. The house is so well kept. Very clean and comfortable. Fabulous spacious kitchen with the beautiful outlook of the bush. The spa got a lot of use as well as the pool table by the log fire in the evening. Annica is conveniently located close to beach, town and well positioned for all tourist hot spots.
My kids loved the Dinosaur world and the alpaca Petland. Greens pool is close by and a must to go and visit. Thanks Marian for sharing your beautiful holiday house with us. -

Ideal for families or groups, yet equally befitting couples seeking a tranquil getaway.
The photos are a perfect representation of what you will find when you arrive at annica, there is no bait-and-switch here...Not to mention the picturesque view of the surrounding South-West bushland.
The sounds of nature perfectly complement the tranquility annica provides. Here you don't have to worry about a thing, all that you will need is provided & if anything seems out of order, the Manager is only a phone call away & is happy to help.
It's almost hard to believe that the town centre is merely 5-10 minutes away where it would be definitely worth your while to try dining at the Denmark Tavern. Go hungry - leave Stuffed! -

Annicca is one of those little suprise packages hidden in the forest and you know the moment you arrive you will find it hard to leave. I celebrated my 50th birthday there together with my partner and family. The warmth and soul in the place makes you feel at home instantly and it really has been lovingly and cleverly furnished; earthy rustic coupled with modern facilities. The Kitchen deserves a capital K. It is the heart of the home and fully equipped for any event. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway for 2 with plenty of space to relax or want to share a special weekend with family and friends; Annicca does it all. It is magical and very versatile. The pool table kept my adult children occupied and so did the TV and DVD player in every bedroom!! the fabulous spa bath was booked out by us all too over the 3 night stay!! We all completely made ourselves at home - there is something for everyone. I highly recommend annicca for extended families to share special time together and for romantic getaways too. We will definately be back. Thank you Marion - it was a real pleasure to make our booking with you and the Welcome Chalk Board at annicca is a great touch.

Annicca's is a very peaceful, lovingly decorated and equiped extremely comfortable and relaxing holiday home set amongst our native bushland yet so very close to the beautiful oceans of Denmark Wa.
We wanted for nothing other than what we wished for our meals and wine. The quality and wonderfully fully equiped kitchen allows anyone to cook up some wonderful cullinary delights which we did. As for the wine there are so many lovely wineries to choose from - our favourtie Ricketty Gate - always a winner with us.
Whether its playing pool, soaking up the aesthetics of annicca and its surrounds, soaking in the relaxing spa with views of the surrounding bushland, cooking up a storm in the all wood amazingly equipped kitchen or watching the local possum just outside the kitchen window nibbling on what I suspect was a little bit of a vegie patch - cute - it is all there for you just to move in and enjoy. Never watched tv once.
A big thank you to Marian (the lucky owner of annicca) for our stay in your amazing holiday abode. Would love to do it again. Marian you have created a beautiful haven and are so graciously sharing it with others. :) -

I recently had my second fantastic stay at annicca with friends so have now experienced the property in both summer and winter. My recent winter stay was the perfect southern escape, with days spent visiting wineries, eating local produce and exploring the forest and coastline. I love arriving at annicca and knowing that all household needs will be met, with fresh towels, extra bedding and all kitchen utensils supplied. There is even a welcome bottle of wine waiting in the fridge for you! As this was a trip to celebrate a friend’s birthday, an extra special touch was the ‘happy birthday’ message left on the board next to the front door – the first thing we saw as we drove up. It is impossible not to relax at annicca and well worth the drive from Perth.

What an incredible place for a getaway. In the middle of the forest, but so close to all the wonderful sights and experiences Denmark has to offer. Annicca is the ultimate forest retreat - gorgeous building with beautiful exotic themed fitout. The kitchen is huge and a dream to cook in. The main bathroom has been recently renovated with a stunning spa. Every room has a view of the bush (or the sky!) and is simply a fantastic place to get away from it all and unwind. Perfect for groups of friends, couples or families. Plenty of room (and comfy beds) for everyone.

My wife and I, decided to book annicca for 2 nights on the Mother's Day weekend, to give our parents a well deserved break. Annicca has all the creature comforts you could possibly dream of, and the surrounding forest with all its captivating beauty is truly an amazing sight. The peace and serenity that this location has to offer is absolutely priceless, and still you are only 5 minutes away from town, for all your shopping or any other needs. The home has everything you need, from extra pillows, blankets, kitchen utensils, modern appliances, washer and dryer, and the list goes on. Marian is an absolute pleasure to deal with, and she will do all that she can, to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. I have stayed at numerous vacation rentals though out the southwest, and i honestly have to say this was our favorite by far, and the cheapest in terms of the rates charged. So do yourself a favor, and enjoy a well deserved break at annicca, the rates a very affordable, enjoy the views, take a spa bath and just relax with the tile wood fire in the background. The only drawback for us was that we didn't stay long enough. Thankyou so much Marian for all your help, you have a beautiful home, and we will be back very soon for a longer stay.
With kind regards,
Jose and Carmy. -

My parents were visiting from the UK, and me, my husband and two young children really wanted to show them around the beautiful area of Denmark whilst at the same time staying in great accommodation which we could all enjoy.
Upon arriving at annicca we found a truly gorgeous house, surrounded by bush. It was so quiet and peaceful, it felt as though we were in the middle of nowhere. Total tranquility!
Once inside we found a fantastically equipped kitchen with everything that you could possibly want, in fact I think it was better equiped than my kitchen at home!
The bathroom was superb and exceptionally clean.
The bedrooms were all really lovely. We used the bedroom upstairs and it was really lovely waking up to the view of the trees and the sounds of the birds chirping away. In the evening it was nice to sit on the adjoining balcony, enjoying a glass of wine!
The pool table introduced my young son to the game and we had great time playing and dancing to the music!
Annicca is well positioned for all the local attractions.
We had a lovely holiday, my only regret was that I should have booked it for longer. Next time, I would like to go back in the Winter and snuggle up next to the log fire! -

This beautiful house was recommended to us by an old school friend as a perfect spot to take some time out on our hectic tour of aus. We had driven down from Perth and were definately not prepared for the luxury we discovered. The house is on the outskirts of Denmark, a small town but well worth investigating (it has an excellent Information centre) - stock up in the supermarket, water at annicca is rain water so you might wish to take some bottled water with you.
The house is large and spacious and has everything you could need, when you enter it feels like home, full of love, a place to unwind, to laugh and have fun, to relax and enjoy nature, a perfect spot to enjoy some personal time with friends and family.
There are some good local restaurants but we loved the outside BBQ area. Just a short drive and you will find the most spectacular beaches -some of the very best australia has to offer, make sure you do not miss them! -

We have just come back from a stay at annicca. This place is sublime.
Layout is superb. We slept in the bedroom upstairs which has a balcony and a view to the ocean through the trees. Overnight there was a rainstorm and the sound of the rain on the roof was just beautiful.
I stayed with just my husband and we spent most our time in the humungous spa that is surrounded by windows and skylights overhead. Outside the spa room windows is a forest of ferns and other rainforest-type plants. It's beautiful when raining!
The kitchen is huge and annicca would be fantastic for a group of friends or family stay (we're thinking of coming back with my husband's brothers / wives) There's a gorgeous couch / relaxation area that the kitchen bench overlooks, and windows everywhere - the views are beautiful.
The woodfire kept us cosy at night and in the morning it was gorgeous sitting outside in the sun.
The owner of annicca has done a great job at decorating and everything you could ever think of needing is provided.
Very luxurious, clean, peaceful place. We will definitely be coming back! -

If you need a temporary sea change, I know the perfect place!Â
Stay at annica to relax, unwind and revitalise within Denmark's natural bushland. It's a pretty special place - where the birds wake you in the morning and you can snuggle by the wood fire at night. Make sure you take a spa in the double spa bath - you feel like you're in a hot tub nestled in the heart of the bush.Â
There are some great walks close by and the Denmark township and surrounds provides a number of fantastic dining options, together with wineries for wine tasting. The beaches are stunning - make sure you take your camera.
Try this simple recipe while you are there and enjoy it by the fire with a bottle or Duckett's Mill Merlot:
Summer Pasta
Fresh angel hair spaghetti (any pasta will work, this is my favourite)
12 slices of prosciutto - finely sliced.
1 punnet of organic grape or cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
2-3 handfuls of organic rocket (spinach also works)
Bellanger Romano from Denmark Farmhouse
Cracked pepper
Heat oven to 180c, place cut tomatoes on baking tray (or baking paper), spray with cooking oil - give them a shake to coat them in oil. Cook for 10-15 mins.
Boil water for pasta and cook as per directions on pasta packet.Â
Crisp prosciutto in a pan over heat, chop.
Once you have drained the pasta, toss the tomatoes, prosciutto and rocket through. Serve with grated Romano and cracked pepper. Enjoy!
As you can see, I love this place, Ive been here before and I'll be heading back very soon! -

What a fantastic house...we were so happy with the accommodation and it suited the two families perfectly. The kids had a ball playing on the pool table and exploring the bush area around the house. The extra bonus highlight was the daily visit from Monty the Beagle Dog! He would come and say hello everyday and he was the most beautiful thing ever. The house was in a beautiful secluded area but it was still a short drive to the shops, Greens Pool and Mad Fish Bay. The kitchen was great to cook in and the whole ambiance of the house was magical...even with 4 kids running around. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to travel to Denmark. Thanks very much Marian, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

My partner booked an extended stay for us at annicca as a Birthday surprise. Well, what a surprise it was! From the moment we turned into the driveway we had a sense of complete privacy and calm as the property has plenty of dense natural vegetation surrounding it. Upon arrival I was greeted with a personalised Birthday message and the enticing smell of freshly-burned incense wafted nearby. As we ventured inside annicca it was hard to contain the excitement as it really is just so beautiful, spacious (yet cosy), and so well appointed inside. All the little nooks to relax in: the conservatory, the lounge, the balcony. The kitchen is so well equipped that you could practically run a catering business from it. The spa room is truly spectacular! Looking out into the thick, natural bush, the full-length windows capitalise on the view (and for those who are perhaps a little shy can rest assured that the setting is really completely private). The master suite upstairs is a real getaway.
We visited in the winter-time so the pot-belly stove was used every day (plenty of fire-wood supplied) and it really added to the cosiness. There was even enough space to practice a rumba and a quick-step! Tvs and Dvds are available (which came in handy on wet days) but the town and beaches are surprisingly close by so you can soak up all the offerings of the region in no time. Internet/phone reception was a bit 'touch-and-go' for me but I turned my phone off as there is far more to life (and so much to enjoy in annicca) than keeping abreast of the latest news on Facebook!
I enjoyed my stay so much that I decided to treat my parents to a stay at annicca to help them celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. And I definitely plan to return as soon as possible! -
