Sea Mist Cottage conveniently located on Oceanview Avenue -- the main road into the now famous Bella Beach vacation community and on down to the popular ocean beach access...a common place for families to gather to watch whales or a dramatic sunset. Sea Mist Cottage is the perfectly situated getaway for a fun family gathering or group get-together. Its thoughtfully designed floor plan and cheerful décor will draw you back again and again! Just imagine an afternoon nap on the porch swing with the summer breeze flowing by or a hot tub in the privacy of a spacious park-like fenced yard. Sea Mist offers three (or four) bedrooms, a detailed kitch...en, cozy and colorful living area with a fireplace TV, DVD, Stereo and surround sound, a private fenced yard with gas fire pit, hot tub and grill, a game room with Ping Pong table. This home has it all!

The inviting main floor features a kitchen/living area with space for your computer hook up, fireplace, half bath, and the master bedroom with king bed and full bath. The second floor with it soft tones offers a laundry room, two + bedrooms, one with an amazingly comfortable king bed and continental bath the other with twin bunk beds, there’s also an extra twin daybed.   We were supposed to have 10 in our group, so we paid extra for the additional room above the garage along with the house. We also had 2 small dogs and paid extra for that. We were to have 3 couples, my elderly mother, a single young man and 2 children. From the pictures, I figured we'd be able to to get everyone comfortably settled. We stayed for 2 nights.
  What we enjoyed: beautiful house, nice fully enclosed back yard, VERY well stocked kitchen. (my in-laws have stayed in several rental houses and say this was the best stocked kitchen for pans, utensils, etc. that they have seen.) The house was very clean. Our boys enjoyed the ping pong table.
  What we didn't like: We could not get into the extra room above the garage. Nothing we tried would get us into there. Luckily 3 in our group weren't able to come or we would've tried to get ahold of the owner. However, since we prepaid for that room, instructions should've been given on how to get into that room and we shouldn't of had to get ahold of the owner. It is not shown that the day bed in the main house is out in the open, right at the top of the stairs. I was going to have my elderly mother sleep in that bed, but it was upstairs (that she can't handle) and with no privacy what-so-ever. There is nothing in the descriptions of the house that let you know where that bed is placed. Due to this, different bed arrangements had to be made than we originally planned for. If our whole group would've come, it would've been difficult to get everyone settled comfortably. Another thing we did not like was on their list of rules, everything was ended with "if this is not done, we will charge an additional $25." We were afraid to do almost anything and worked very hard to clean things to the Nth degree because we were afraid to be charged extra. On top of the $140 cleaning fee, they ask you to throw in a load of towels to "help out the cleaning lady." We ended up washing almost all the towels while we were cleaning up, but that was a ridiculous request. I contacted the owner by email to ask about the extra room and for a refund on that part since we didn't end up using it, but never received an answer. I also didn't like that there were not many hooks or places to hang towels in the upstairs bathroom. There are beds for 7 people, but only 2 hooks to hang the bath towels.
  It was a nice house and we enjoyed our time with family but won't stay again. This house would be ideal for 2 young couples with children. I would recommend this house to a friend depending on the group they planned on bringing.

Sea Mist cottage does offer a great bed situation for families with two king beds, one queen the bunk room and day bed - great for families! Also, the back yard is a great with the private hot tub, fire pit, game room, beach bikes and more. This is a great cottage in the Bella Beach Community! Don't delay to reserve as it books up fast....
