186225Beautiful and comfortable converted barn with amazing views
Left on 03/04/2012 for a stay in March 2012
What an amazing place to stay. Outside does not do this conversion justice. We filled the barn to capacity and was extremely comfortable and could easily fit a few more in if they would let you. Lounge was amazing for large group gatherings, kitchen was very well equipped, bedrooms spacious with pigeonholes outside the room for luggage etc, bathrooms very clean and spacious and with an all women group we had no complaints with the water getting cold and all had nice hot showers each morning. This place is great and situated perfectly in the heart of the Peaks. Great pub up the road in Foolow called Bulls Head Inn which also recommend. Will definitely stay here again next year if they will have us and the owners were more than helpful in any queries we had both before and during our visit. Stay here and you won't be dissappointed.

LondonFantastic and beautiful place for a big group stay
Left on 10/17/2010 for a stay in September 2010
There were 21 of us staying at the barn in September and we had the most fantastic time. It's really beautiful and we thought it was very luxurious. It's really well set up for big groups with lovely bedrooms and good bathrooms - the communal space is really lovely as well with a beautiful big kitchen/breakfast room and a lovely cosy lounge. We bought some more logs and did a BBQ, we also used the firepit outside which was lovely - we stayed around it til the early hours! Fantastic location, really great for walks and little trips, we did horse riding too. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Staying at the Peak District Holiday Barn was a delight from beginning to end and an ideal location for a 30th Birthday celebration with friends. It's impressive to see how much work has gone into the renovation from the pictures displayed around the place. It really is a credit to the owner, who was very welcoming and approachable.
We were never short of things to do. We made our own pizza's and cooked them in the outdoor pizza oven for that stone-baked flavour! We played outdoor cricket, and when it rained, we made use of the indoor games, and even had a cocktail making competition.
The facilities were spotless and the beds are just as comfy as your own at home.
Everyone had a great time and commented on how lovely the barn was. I'd definitely recommend it to friends and family, in fact, I already have! -

We had a wonderful time here for my sister's hen party, the barn is beautiful and very well thought out - everything is provided and presented with style!
The location was perfect for us because we all had our own transport and were able to get to nearby attractions like Go ape.
Perfect for chilling out away from 'real life'. -

Booked Peak District Holiday Barn for my brothers stag party. Lovely place. Really nicely kitted out with quality furnishings and finish. Massive place that still feels roomy with loads of people and on the doorstep of beautiful countryside, with the start of a classic walk just 100 metres away. The barn also has a good lawn to play games on and a nice big barbecue area worked well. The only drawback is that the barn is set back from a fairly busy road but this had far less effect than I feared. Great pubs nearby too: The Three Stags is 'interesting' (careful of the Black Lurcher at 8 percent!) but the Bulls Head in Foolow, the Barrel on the hill and the Red Lion in Litton are real, classic friendly Derbyshire pubs. Thoroughly recommended all round.

Newcastle Upon TynePerfect Hen Party!
Left on 08/04/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We hired the barn for my hen party and it was absolutely perfect. There was 12 of us and we had more than enough room to ourselves!
The design of the barn has been so well thought out and a lot of effort has been put into the conversion. I was blown away by the quality of everything from the bedding to the dishes. The barn is clean, quiet and well located for local attractions such as Buxton and Bakewell.
I will be making a recommendation to all my friends and family and hope to be back here in the future!

The house was fantastic, it catered for all our needs. The kitchin and dining room are great size and meant that everyone could eat together. The location was beautiful, we didn't do a great deal of walking but appreciated the views out of the window!

We booked the barn for my boyfriend's 30th. It was perfect - great open layout upstairs, excellent kitchen facilities, really comfy beds, enough bathrooms for 24 people and very reasonably priced for the high standard. We all had a great time - wish we could've stayed longer! (hangover permitting).
Highly recommend. -

Left on 08/03/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We stayed at the Peak District Holiday barn in april for joint 30th birthday celebrations. We had looked at the house on the website, but the pictures really didnt do it justice. The house is decorated to a really high standard, the kitchen in particular, which became the hub of activity over the weekend. The bedrooms are well laid out, and have the comfiest beds I have ever slept in! More than enough room for 24 of us over the weekend, with great gardens, location and view. I would highly recommend the Peak District barn to anyone I know!

LondonFebruary Stag Weekend
Left on 03/25/2010 for a stay in February 2010
I booked the barn for a Stag Weekend for 14 people (although had planned on more). Everyone was very impressed with the accomodation especially the fantastic sitting room that had plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was well equipped and completely suited our needs, and plenty of space to sit us all at one table.
Great location too being right in the middle of the district, and a good value breakfast cafe across the road. -

Left on 03/15/2010 for a stay in February 2010
The owner obviously gave this barn conversion a lot of thought and put in a lot of hard work to complete the conversion to a quality finish. Excellent accommodation for a large party in a fine location with nearby towns and villages of interest and walks from the barn itself. The inclusion of Wi-Fi would be an advantage if at all possible. The barn, otherwise, lacks for nothing.

What can I say, already the photos were enough to make me excited about going, but the palce has a real wow factor. I booked it for my 30th birthday and went up there with 23 friends. You immediately feel at home in the barn, and it is big enough for everyone to have their own space. The quality of the finish is outstanding and Mark really adds that extra touch to make it a truly memorable stay. Thank you

We stayed at the Peak District Holiday Barn to celebrate joint Birthdays, me and my daughter. It was a big mix of people and ages and the Barn was just fabulously appointed with a wonderful big kitchen that allowed us to cook and eat together. Mark and his staff were just so helpful and the farmer next door even allowed access to his field for those who wanted to camp. For large and smaller parties of people, I could not recommend the facilities enough. We also did a fantastic long walk as part of our weekend end stay. The scenery around there is wonderful. In all, a fantastic stay.

Had an amazing time during our weekend break at the barn. Not only is the location great for walking and visiting local pubs, the barn is decorated to such a high standard and was an ideal place for a celebrations with a large group of people. Everyone who came are thinking of excuses to come again, not that you'd need any!
