All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

My husband and I went to Shortner Croft for what we hoped would be 7 nights. We came home after only spending 4 nights there because we are both disabled with walking sticks and found that the property although nice was geared to younger able bodied people. The shower floor was extremely slippery and required some sort of mat to stand on or better tiles that did not slip even if they looked nice!. The cottage no matter how much we tried was never warm.
The property would be better suited to underfloor heating all the way through instead of a cream carpet in the living area which is all very nice but not practical. The idea of a holiday is to get away and relax properly but we found that you could not sit for any length of time on the furniture provided. Although this is a superb conversion and unless you would be prepared to be out all day, hiking or cycling around the hills we would not recommend this property. -

Lovely clean property and very warm welcome from hosts.
Plenty to see and do, beware Chatsworth house very busy and hard to see everything due to volume of crowds
