Every room in this resort condominium has special touches that will make you say WOW! One special feature is that most of the bedrooms have balcony access to enjoy the sea breezes that make Destin special.

The LIVING ROOM features a comfortable sofa that opens into a queen sleeper. The entertainment armorer contains an oversize television, 32” I think, that is equipped with a cable television package that allows you to access a dozens of channels, as well as a DVD and that allows you to play your favorite movies. Or if you like, surf the web on the high speed Internet that’s available. If you want to truly enjoy the beach experience wonder out to the balcony through your floor to ceiling sliding doors enjoy the sugar white sand beaches and emerald green Gulf waters. Man, this is the life.

The MASTER BEDROOM features luxurious king sized bed and private bath. With a jetted tub. What a way to end a day on the beach. Nice hot bath, water swirling. The Ritz. And the bedroom is beautifully decorated for your relaxation and enjoyment. There’s plenty of space to store your beachwear in the spacious walk-in closets. Your entertainment armorer offers a large TV with dozens of clear channels, you may want to pop in your favorite movie into the DVD. You even have high speed Internet access that’s easily accessed from the MASTER BEDROOM.

The SECOND MASTER is equally well appointed with a comfortable queen sized bed and plenty of space for everything you’ve brought to the beach. This large bedroom is a great hideaway because it not only offers a place to catch up on your favorite book, it has complete entertainment options with cable television, and a DVD player. Or you can log on to high speed Internet from this room as well. This bedroom has an adjacent oversize bath with garden tub and shower.

The THIRD GUESTROOM is a kid friendly suite with twin beds and plenty of room to play!

The open gourmet KITCHEN area looks out over the water and features beautiful granite counter tops with attractive cabinets and appliances.   Dirty- chandelier over dining table loaded with dust. Sticky handles in kitchen. Upon wiping counter top, kitchen cloth picked up dirt. Had to get soapy water to re-wipe. When I dared to go barefoot, stepped on large dark spill at MBed entrance & could tell no effort was made to clean spot. Fridge had something slimy on top shelf. Tried to make pizza, no pizza pan AND no potholders to remove pan. When finding no wifi available, Delphine from SH was quick & professional to assist. Lint catcher in dryer is broken. Curtain pull in MBed is laying on the floor. I probably forgot something because I tried so hard to get over my disappointment for the sake of my kids. After a hard 12 hour drive, the keys for the condo were in some unidentified, remote box - then, just keys. No directions to condo, no info on Silver Shells or Destin. Just keys. I found out after 2 days I had a parking spot in the garage. I feel very ripped off. Etc., etc., etc.

  Review of St Maartens 808 - February, 2013 Stay

  We enjoyed our stay here except for the following:
  1) All the phones didn't work (no dial tone) and when I called the rental agency, they said they would have someone out to fix, but never did. I think service was cut off and they didn't want to start it up again.
  2. The carpet in the master bedroom had a large dark spot in the entry way. Don't know if any cleaning service tried to remove it.
  3. Kitchen lacked some basics--pot holders, knife rack to name a few.
  Other than those 3 items, our stay was pleasant.

  Our family visits Destin regularly, and we loved our stay in St. Maartin 808. The finishes are very nice quality. It's decorated beautifully with comfortable furniture and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We like that the bedrooms offer privacy, balconies and full baths in each. The beachfront balcony is very spacious and the view is gorgeous. The resort's amenities are topnotch. The gym is the best we've found in Destin. Silver Shells is centrally located to shopping, great restaurants and entertainment. We are particularly picky about cleanliness, and this is one of the cleanest units we've stayed in. We really like renting through Best Beach Getaways. They make the whole rental process easy, and are very quick to respond to any needs we have. We highly recommend this one.

  My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and loved it! The property was so big providing a lot of privacy, there wasn't anyone watching you at all times, which was very relaxing. Everything was very clean and kept up. We will be staying here again!

  After reviewing this unit on-line, our expectations were high. This unit and property appeared to be the nicest place we have stayed in the Gulf Coast Region. However, the unit had several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The inner shower curtain in the hall bathroom was filty with black mold at the base. The blinds in another bathroom were rusty. The master bathroom shower stall had black mold around the entire perimeter. The washing machine was missing a knob. The couch had a red stain on one side. Both bathtubs were clogged and water was up to your ankles when showering and would take 30 minutes for the water to fully drain. The ice machine in the freezer wasn't working properly. The decor was nice but the overall cleaninless was very poor. We saw noticeable dust on the baseboards and artificial plants. We didn't have top sheets on 3 of the 4 beds. I asked for them to be delivered but never received. We liked St. Marteen being closest to the beach. We liked the pool. Our overall experience was not good and we would not recommend it to others.

  Nice Upgrades to 808 St. Maarten

  Having stayed in this unit before, we were thrilled with the upgraded kitchen and the addition of wi-fi this year. However, it seems dusting had been overlooked for sometime on certain items, ie. ceiling fans, pictures, plants. And the bathroom that has a window above the shower has a metal venetian blind for some reason, and it is rusty and ugly. But overall the condo is very comfortable and we will definitely be renting it again in the future.

  We have stayed at this condo before and it was not near as clean as in the past. The unit had not been throughly cleaned in a while. Was somewhat disappointed but love the property. Really not sure if the owners are aware of the lack of upkeep.

  Condo extremely dirty. Second bedroom bed very hard to sleep on. Beds were nasty....! Will not stay in this unit ever again. Had to pay full price with no discount offered for having to deal with all the mess. Management had to come in twice to clean plus take bedcovers to wash.

  Resort and condo need more upkeep

  The only main complaint we had was the cleanliness of our condo and the pool. The bath mat rug that was in front of our tub, which was supposed to be white, was disgusting. I even took a picture to email because it was so bad. One of the shower drains was so plugged that you stood in water the whole time you were showering. You could tell that the whole place needed a good cleaning. The condo itself was nice, but worn. I think it needs some things replaced. We definitely didn't sleep with the comforter on us.
  I have never stayed at a resort where the tile around the top of the pool had so much mildew. It looked like it hadn't been clean in a while. For as much as we paid a night, I would have a liked our condo and the pool to be kept up better. Maybe with the economy the resort has cut back on upkeep. We stayed here last Fall and don't remember it being that way.
  My husband and daughter loved the workout area and said it was very nice.
  I hate to be so negative. We had a FABULOUS time, and the resort staff was wonderful and so friendly. LOVED them. I would definitely use Best Beach Getaways again.

  There were dirty towels...

  There were dirty towels behind the door in the master closet so obviously the cleaning staff had not vacuumed there. Floors were not clean and the mop to use was filthy. Nothing had been dusted.
  Had to call for sheets for the sleeper sofa and the railing on the porch was loose. Both were done in a timely manner!
  Didn't think we should have to pay $40 a day for 2 beach chairs & umbrella after the price paid to stay there.
