Let me tell you about this beach beauty at Sterling Shores. First let me give you the “411” on Sterling Shores. When they call a pool a lagoon pool that means “BIG” and this one’s big and a half. It’s 4,300 square feet but that’s only the beginning. They’ve put all kinds of lush tropical plants and trees around the pool. There’s even a kids’ pool right there. But that’s only the start, look beyond the pool and you see what you came for in the first place. Gorgeous white sand beach that looks like sugar and emerald green waters that go on as far as the eye can see.

The great thing about Sterling Shores is that there...’s a lot more than just the beach and the pool. There’s a fully equipped fitness room, a movie theater, DVD rentals, a Gas Barbecue grill by the pool, kid’s activities, and a whole lot more.

This place has got it going on right from the time you walk in the door. The entry’s big enough to park your beach toys, flip-flops and golf clubs. And the place is decorated really nicely. I’ve put some pictures in here so you can see. Just look at the dining area. Big table if you want to eat in. (with all the great restaurants you probably won’t) The living area’s really comfortable, too. Look at that entertainment center! It’s got a big TV, with a DVD you can watch your favorite movies if you’re kinda beached out. Or you can surf the internet because we’ve got high speed all over the place here.

The floor to ceiling sliders open out to the balcony. Step out there and you’re not gonna want to come back in. I took a couple of pictures of the pool and the beach. Really something

The MASTER BEDROOM’s got this great big king size bed. It’s a four poster and it’s a beauty. Plus there’s a private bath with a garden tub that’s all yours. The decor is really toned down so that you can relax in this room. It’s got plenty of closet space for all your stuff. You get the full cable package on the TV just like in the living room. You can even surf the web from here.

The SECOND MASTER has a really comfortable queen bed and plenty of space for everything you’ve brought to the beach. TV’s got the cable package too. The bathrooms a little smaller but it’s got everything you need. Surf the web from here too.

The THIRD BEDROOM is a kid-friendly suite with comfortable twin beds and enough area for the kids to get lost for awhile.

The KITCHEN has plenty of room to fix your meals and a diner bar so that you can grab a quick bite without messing up the Dining table

The DINING AREA’s got a nice big table so you can enjoy meals together when you’re not lying on your favorite pool chair down by the pool.

The LAUNDRY area is located to make keeping everyone in clean clothes a breeze.

This place will sleep 8 comfortably. It’s a good size for a couple of couples or a small family.

  We had a wonderful time at Sterling Shores in Destin!!!! The condo was absolutely beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The weather was a bit cool so we did not get to swim in the big lagoon pool but we did use the heated pool right by the beach so the kids enjoyed the pool and with the beach view right by the pool the adults did not feel like they were missing out on their beach time. We absolutely loved Destin and will definetly be going back again in the future and will most likely stay at Sterling Shores again. The beaches in Destin are beautiful also as well as the crytstal blue ocean :)

  False advertisement. Stated it was ocean view and it wasn't. When we arrived the place was filthy! Had to wash floors and clean sheets! The air conditioner went out and had to have a repairman come during our stay. Pool area was very nice as was the beach.

  Great resort, but be warned!

  This condo was nice enough for our needs. The second bedroom was a bit tight with a queen sized bed, but we were there for the beach :)
  I didn't see a hairdryer, but thankfully my friend had brought hers!
  I did try to contact the owner because we were a bit bothered by the evening security guard. Once we were spoken to about a minor detail, it seemed as though he was always watching our EVERY move.
  He even told guests that they could not sit on the balcony past 10 PM because it was 'quiet time'. THIS IS NOT TRUE!
  If you are not causing a disturbance, you can sit out and enjoy the sounds of the water. Know the rules and don't be intimidated.
  We felt that when being approached, we were being accused then interrogated instead of treated like guests.
  We were disappointed when the weather was rainy and the gates to the pools were locked. This included the grilling area, so our plans for lunch changed. When asked about the gates being locked, another security officer told us that they were expecting the weather to get worse and they didn't want a chair to fly in the wind and hit us. He did add 'But we can't close the beach, so you can go there.'
  So we did.
  The beach was still beautiful, despite what the media is saying.
  The rest of the staff at Sterling Shores was great!!
  Overall, we were glad to go and support Destin. It has been one of favorite vacation destinations for years. Though some of the people working at the resort or even in some of the restaurants were rude or unfriendly, most of the people were glad to have us there. We were glad to see efforts being made to ensure that the beach was still clean and safe.
  I think that we would consider another stay at Sterling Shores, but we will try to stay on a higher floor with a view over the buildings across the street. We enjoy seeing the water a bit more than this unit allowed. There is an advantage with this unit being on the third floor ~ you can always use the stai

  Large eye on back of stove did not work. Television in master bedroom did not work. Television in living room worked but half of the channels did not have sound. Bedroom with two twin beds and trundles was not really any good. No space to pull out trundle. only two people could sleep in this room. Security was very nice and friendly. Overall a great stay despite the problems.
