We enjoyed this condo. It was clean, nicely decorated, and cozy. Easy walk to the beach and nice pool. I would stay again, for the price I feel we got a nice condo on a budget without sacrificing on taste.

This was our second time enjoying a Caribbean Dunes condo in the last four summers. The first time (2009) was great, but this #106 unit was even better. We particularly enjoyed the patio, facing the ocean. The patio was great for when we returned from the beach and needed a place to set all our stuff and shake off all the sand before entering the unit. Last time we had an upstairs balcony so we were not able to have that convenience. It was also nice to sit out on the patio in the evenings with a cold drink after a day at the beach. The unit is wonderfully decorated and was just what we expected. The area is quiet and a bit away from most of the major commercial area in Destin, and that's how we like it. However, we were just a short stroll across the street to the beach! The only thing I would say that would be a negative, and this may be picky, but the living room area was not particularly comfortable for our family of 4 to relax in after being at the beach all day. There is one nice couch, and one basic chair...I found myself wanting to kick back, stretch out and relax, and the living room furniture (while pleasant looking) was not great for a family of 4 to lounge around in. I guess I just missed my recliner from home! The boys loved the hallway bunks and the curtain came in handy to allow them some extra sleep in the mornings. Our whole family decided that we loved this unit and would certainly stay here again in the future.

To start...we have been staying at the Caribbean Dunes for the past 14 years and this was probably the best unit of all. The furnishings and deco was very up to date and inviting. These condos are by far the best for the $$ in the Crystal Beach area. Plus Camilles only two doors down is another reason we keep coming back. The only thing about #106 is the dryer takes forever to dry your clothes, but I think that just come with a stackalble W&D.; The only other thing was the family photos that the owners had all over the walls and dressers and end tables made us feel a little like we were intruding in someones space. Kinda like in your face this place is ours:) As far as the Public Beach area...well for the first time in 14 years..the two hotels/condo across from Crystal Dunes decided they were going to rope off their area which made it a little tight for us...so we actually spent our days at the beach down at Henderson Park (which is well worth the 6.00 for the day) and down at the Pass by the Bay (which is amazingly beautiful) However...that all that said..Yes, we will always return back to Caribean Dunes!!!

This is the 5th time I've stayed at Caribbean Dunes. I like that it is not a high rise. We enjoy sitting on the front patio watching people pass by and having our coffee. We frequent the little cafe on the nearby corner for breakfast. It's a great location, everything is very close. You could walk to Destin Commons if you chose.
Each condo has always been very clean and has everything you need for your stay. The pool has always been well managed.
This is a perfect spot for a relaxing Florida vacation.

We visit Destin and the Carribean Dunes every year for the last 10 years. We love this place. Very easy to check in. The condo was nicely decorated.
Everything you need for a relaxed stay on the Beach.

I booked this condominium without any real knowledge of the area and I shot it out of the park. The location was perfect for the beach and for convenience to many resort areas. I could not have been happier about my choice. We will definitely being stay with Southern Resorts for our next vacation to Destin! Loved the ease of no check-in and picking up and returning of keys! A terrific vacation!

This is our third visit to a Caribbean Dunes unit, and the best so far. We chose this unit because of the curtain in the bunk bed area, and our girls loved the darkening and privacy it offered. We will choose this unit again because of the curtain. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, etc. The only things we missed was a blanket for the couch bed - we had to use beach towels. And we felt funny sleeping in a master bed with a photo of another couple on the nightstand. We simply moved the frame for the week and then put it back when we were leaving. Those are small items, but we wanted to mention them.
again, loved the curtain to block out sunlight for teens who wanted to sleep in. we will book this unit again. -

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at caribbean dunes. The location worked for us, near the public beach and right next to the bike trail. The kids enjoyed the pool and the bunkbed arrangement (not good choice for grown-ups or big teens however). It was a quiet and clean rental, though with a number of windows right next to the stairwell we needed to keep the curtains closed the entire stay. All in all a decent value.

Overall, we had a great time. Some imporvements that could be made:
1) When checking in, my paperwork showed that I would need to arrive at the main office for a key. When I arrived at the lockbox, there was no key. I had to call the after hours number to find out that there was actually a key code that was not provided beforehand. It would have been beneficial to know this before I drove to the main office.
2) The condo was a little dirty. Not really bad but it was dusty and really needed a good cleaning.
3) Paper towels should be provided. At least a small amount. There was none.
Some positives:
Pool was clean and nice
Bed was comfortable
House decor was nice

the condo was great- just the right size. right across the street fron the beach- we didn't have to walk far at all. we really enjoyed our stay and will definately look here first when searching for a place to stay when we visit next.

We (20-something newlywed couple) were thoroughly pleased with our stay at Caribbean Dunes #106. Perfect price, perfect location...literally a minute's walk to the beach and near all the hustle and bustle of Destin. The condo was more than we could have asked for...unassuming from the outside but completely classy and well maintained on the inside. Staying on the edge of the season, we practically had the complex and the beach to ourselves as well! We will definitely return.

This condo is top of the line in the decour and location! The maintenance people working around the facility were very polite. Each one smiled and greeted us as we walked by. I called the main office to inquire about activities for children and the receptionist was very kind, cheerful, and helpful. This was our second time staying at Caribbean Dunes (Last time we were in #107 which was also nice). Definitely will be staying here again on our future trips.

The location of our stay was excellant, however the accomidations were not up to par. First we had no pull out sofa, apparantly the people before us had broken it, so we had nothing but a floor for the first night. They did bring us over a "blow up" mattress for the next night unfortunatly it had no inner parts a could not be blown up, so again our company had a floor. We did not complain further we just made due while we were there. Therewas the issue with the dryer not working as well. I think the drying element was bad it did not heat up at all so we "dried" the clothes 3 or 4 times to get them "air" dried. We do not like to complain and didn't, and I am sure we will come back to Destin but we will choose not to stay at the Caribbean Dunes, possibly at the Crystal dunes?

This was a fabulous place for our family of 6. I can't imagine feeling more comfortable in any other place!!
We will stay here many more times in the future, I am sure!!
My only issues were the sheets on the master bed were incredibly itchy, and the dryer seemed to have trouble drying our clothes, but other than that everything was perfect!

The condo was very clean and well equiped, two things that are very important to me! It was also a great value. The first day was a little stressful. We were told about the beach access and and that we could rent chairs on the beach directly accross the street from our unit, but when we used the access and tried to rent chairs, we were informed it was a private beach for the condos directly on the beach. We had to walk down the beach a little to a public area to rent chairs. That was annoying at first, but it ended being convenient for us. The public area had a restroom and a shower and it was only a short walk. This area of Destin is ideal. The Silver Sands Outlet, Destin Commons, and great places to eat are only minutes away, it was wonderful. I have been staying in various areas of Destin for 17 years and this is by far my favorite area. I would definately stay in this unit again.

We were looking for a place near the beach with accomodations comparible to our vacation home. What we found was a beautiful condo, literally a minutes walk across the street to beach, with a wonderful view from the patio. The condo was centrally located to all our planned activities. Family photos and a guest comments book added to the "Welcome" feeling we got when we walked through the door of Carribean Dunes 106. Southern Resorts made the rental process easy which allowed more time to enjoy our first vacation in Destin. The hot tub jets near the pool need more power, but was still relaxing, and we met some great families while enjoying the pool. We look forward to our return.

The staff have been very pleasant to do business with. Our unit is fully equipped and clean. Cannot think of anything else we would need there.

My wife and I have enjoyed this unit and others just like it for several times. It is always clean and is close to the beach. The pool is nice and it is close to all resturants and stores. It is just a great place to escape to. We will be back. We love the fresh Seafood.

This is about the fourth time we have stayed in this rental. It is absoulutely the best with all the flavor of the tropics. It is decorated beautifully in an awesome location! It has a view of the beach but is still private. So relaxing to hear the Gulf sounds. We can't wait to stay again. Priced very reasonable with everything you need!
