We love Crystal Villas! The private beach is perfect for our family, not at all crowded & as close as possible! Being right on the beach is not only convenient, but provides awesome views too. No more packing up everything under the sun and trudging to the beach from blocks away. The beach is just out the back door! We just go back to the room for lunch or to use the bathroom.
Speaking of bathroom, the jack & jill bathroom is very useful, meaning 3 people can use the bathroom in privacy. The bunks in the hallway are perfect for the kids, with a door on the end of the hallway to keep anyone in the kitchen/living area from waking them. The new stainless steel appliances are a nice upgrade, though I don't really care what color my fridge is. The decor is comfortable and updated.
The location can't be beat! There are a couple restaurants in walking distance & just a short drive to the grocery store to pick up supplies. The keyless entry doors are a lifesaver. No more forgetting the key or thinking someone else in the family had it.
My only complaint is that the beach service wasn't put out until 9 am this year. Last year, the guys were out there before 7 putting out chairs. I like getting out to the beach early! We have stayed here twice now & will be back again next year!

This is a beautiful, well-equipped, clean condo! We paid extra for the early arrival and it was well worth it. The view from the balcony is amazing. Just steps away from the beach! Artie was a great beach attendant and took really good care of us. We went right after Labor Day and there were only a few other couples on the beach and it is surrounded by other small complexes, so walks up the beach still felt very private.
All appliances worked great, everything was just like the pictures. Many restaurants are located on the same street and shopping is just a few blocks away. We loved the Bang Bang Shrimp at the Bonefish Grill, Pompano Joes was good, the crab dip at the Crab Trap is a must, and Floyd's Shrimp House on Okaloosa Island's Baby Back Ribs are to die for!!
Our vacation was absolutely perfect! Southern Rentals offered excellent service. Check out was super easy. Parking was great. And of course the beach was awesome! I have nothing negative to say about the property. We are already planning a return trip for May and Crystal Villa 7B will definitely be where we stay. Thanks again!! -

The unit and building are not being maintained. For the money the other condo units in Crystal beach are doing a better job. The HOa should look into serious property improvements. Been using CV condos for 10+ years and we are very disappointed in our stay this time. Southern Resorts had a horrible response to my concerns saying they essentially would do nothing and did not care. It was not their issue at all on the Hoa's issue.

Bathroom is in desparate need of updating as well.
Smokers everywhere on the property and on the decks. Property should be made non smoking throughout. Cannot enjoy the beach if you cannot breathe in the fresh ocean air. Could not even sit on my deck as second hand smoke was everywhere.
We will not be staying here again. -

The service I received was excellent and I always enjoy my stay in Crystal Villas 7B. The home is very attractive and its location is perfect for me, because I can walk to a lot of places and leave my car in the parking lot. Also the beach and the water are always a great attraction. The thing I don't like is that the unit is not always as clean as I would like for a long term stay.

We just stayed at this condo and loved it. It is in a small complex so parking is convenient. The bedroom is on the street side but we did not hear noise from the parking lot. It was so quiet that we were quite surprised. It is so convenient to get to the beach...you just have to walk a few steps to the end of your building, go between the two buildings, and walk about 20 steps. The buildings are extremely close to the beach. It was great! We also had free beach service (one umbrella and two chairs) included with the condo. There are two bathroom sink areas with one shower between those two rooms. Each section has doors to close the areas off, so one person can be in the shower while someone else is getting ready. The kitchen was well stocked..there was nothing we needed that was not there. The sofas were comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable. The only thing not absolutely perfect was we heard a child running upstairs twice for about 2 minutes (but that was the only noise we had while there-the condos must be well soundproofed) and the pillows on the bed were a little too thick for us but we just swapped them with the ones on the bunk beds in the hallway. We like the quiet area that the condo is located in. There are sidewalks around the neighborhood for walking or running. And there are several restaurants within walking distance. We will definately go back to this condo.

Overall it was a great place to stay and we will rent this condo again. Only issue we had was that the tub and sinks in the bathroom drained very slow making it a little annoying to shower. However, I could have called maintenance to fix (and I'm sure they would have) but I didn't want anyone interrupting our alone time, so we just dealt with it. Location was perfect. The beach was not too crowded (mostly since the areas in front of the condo are private property for condo residents only). We were within 5 or 10 mins of all restaurants and 1 minute from Destin Commons. Camille's, a restaurant within walking distance of the condo, was the best food we had in Destin, and trust me, we tried a lot of them! Indoor pool at the condo was a blessing as well. My daughter is 8 mos old and didn't care for the cooler ocean water much, but the pool allowed us to enjoy swimming with her in warmer water and out of the harshness of the sun. You know you've had a relaxing vacation when on the last day you are rested and ready to go back to work!

This was our second time to stay at Crystal Villas but first time in 7B and we rented through Southern Resorts both times. 7B was equipped with almost everything we needed which made our stay enjoyable. Crystal Beach is a lovely area except for the seaweed this year was the worse I've ever seen. We love the beach and with the beach umbrella & chairs included with our condo makes it that much more desireable to stay here. Thanks to Southern Resorts for making it easy to make our reservation.

Me, my husband, and our 6year old daughter stayed here. There was plenty of room for the three of us. The condo was very clean. The view from the balcony was perfect. The beach is just a few steps away. The indoor pool was a big hit also. Thanks so much for a great stay.

This was our fist time in Crystal Villas, we have stayed in the Crystal Beach area for ten years in a row now and always stay on the beach.This was a great little unit, the only down fall to this place was the second bathroom toilet would not flush very well at all, but we are realistic this was not an issue for us.I will more than likely stay at this place again.The sound of the beach in the morning and the evening while drinking coffee and wine is worth every penny and the fishing from my kayak right off the beach is awsome.There is a sunken tug boat about a mile off the beach in front of the Crabtrap that provides excellent fishing.

Nice clean condo with a great view of the ocean right on the beach!. Beach was not crowded at all. In fact if you wanted to, you could walk 100 yards down the beach and be the only ones there! Kitchen and Living area up to date and nice. Great area with access to all the shopping and food places. Could walk to one nice restaraunt and a place to grab breakfast in the morning. Really nice indoor pool for when it rained. Hardly saw anyone there ever.

My wife and I along with our 3 year old son enjoyed this property very much. Beautiful white sand beach and royal blue water awaited us on the balcony overlooking the gulf. Easy access to beach and a full block off the main highway 98 made this a very relaxing week. Close vicinity to nearby shopping kept my wife happy. The indoor pool was one of the highlights of my 3 year old's trip. I would love to plan another trip to Destin and rent this property again.

I was not pleased with this particular experience. the unit next to ours had construciton going on in it that started every morning around 7AM. This didn't allow us any time sleep in and the final morning, actually caused so much shaking, my 8 year old got scared and wanted to leave. We thought we were in an earthquake.

We reserved this condo at Crystal Villas for a 4-night stay to attend a family wedding. It was our first trip to Destin and the staff at Southern Resorts was very helpful in choosing a property and supplying all of the information we needed. The unit was comfortable and provided all of the items promised, along with being very clean. The beach service (chairs and umbrella) was one of our favorite features, along with all of the keyless entry points. The entrance gate to the beach was a little tricky at first, but never caused a problem after the first day. We are looking forward to staying at Crystal Villas #7B again.

We enjoyed staying at this location and would consider returning. The room offered a nice view of the ocean. However, the cooling system was not working. It was very warm the first day. Fortunatly,the outside temperature cooled down the remainder or the trip. There was no high speed internet plug-in in the room.

Crystal Villas is a farely small condo that still has the ammenties that you need to enjoy the beach. The condos themselves are very comfortable (all with amazing views of the beach and Gulf). The Private beach for this property is larger than most that are in this area. The beach attendants ensured that only residents used that area.
The only thing that was frustrating was that we had to seek out service (not enough sheets were provided and we had to catch the maid service in the parking lot to get the sheets we need) neither southern resorts nor the condo managers asked if we needed anything.
Overall, it is a great location that is farely small and quiet for a location like Destin. -

This unit has been refurbished and is in a great location. My only issue is I had to pay for wireless internet service. Most places I stay that is typically included in the package. Southern Resorts should consider doing the same.

Our family had a wonderful time together in this condo in Destin. We had a beautiful view of the beach and loved listening to the sounds of the ocean. The kids loved the sand, waves, and also hunting for the little sand crabs in the evening. Lots of fun. There are also so many great resturants around, we learned of many of them from the guest book where other guests left their suggestions. The condo was very nicely decorated and clean. Don't forget your code to get in though (no keys just a code). We were so excited to get in and then go see the beach, we forgot our code and we were locked out within the first few hours of arriving. Having a code was convenient after we memorized it, so you don't have to worry about losing or taking a key with you to the beach. I'm sure you will build many memories with your family here. We have stayed at Destin many times before and this condo was very nice.

Our family stayed in this beach rental condo in April 2008. The view is awesome and there is so much to do. This condo is located within walking distance from so many great places to eat and shop. Everything was nice and clean and in working order. We totally enjoyed our stay here and hopefully will be able to stay here next year too. This home is recommended by the Summers Family of Litchfield Illinois!

We spent a long weekend at the Crystal Villas last June and had a wonderful time. We had a beautiful ocean view and beautiful weather. The Villa's were neat and clean and great for two couples. I was very pleased with the area and it was a short drive to stores and restaraunts. I got up early every morning and walked the beach. We will be back soon.
