My husband is not a big fan of spending hrs on the beach as I am; however he agreed to this mini vacation in early april.
Crystal Sands had everything that we needed. Our balcony was right on the beach so we spend lots of time out there. Perfect since the weather was not cooperative that first day. Our place was convenient to shopping as well as fabulous restaurants.
Newman Daily offered us the perfect vacation accommodations and as always the best service. I can honestly say that we will visit again and we will rely on
ND to take care of us. -

Loved the sunrises and sunsets you got at this spot. The beach was beautiful and loved the free golf and chair rentals that were included. Condo was perfect for what we needed. Was great having laundry in the unit. Our only complaint was construction going on in below unit during stay. Having pounding and drilling wake you up on vacation is a bummer.

We have stayed in this unit before and it has been redone. The corner offers great views and cs is convenient to all parts Destin. Major complaint, (true in our previous stay as well) was that the tile floors just were not clean. Walk barefoot through the unit and bottoms of feet were black. The bedroom carpet was well worn and looked dirty from tracking in from the tile. It's a cleaning issue and with a little more attention to detail, this unit should always get a good review.

In this unit there is everything you need including washer/dryer. I've stayed in this same unit for several years, and dont know if I would ever find a place I liked any better.
This year was for a Honeymoon, and my husband really enjoyed the golf, which is included with our package, and we both enjoy the free beach service. And what could be better than waking up and having breakfast while over looking the gulf. And on the rainey days there is so much shopping, and wonderful places for dinner.
Checking in/out was easy and there is never any surprises. We are already planning our trip for next September!

We love Crystal Sands unit 217a! This place is a true home away from home. The balcony view of the gulf is breathtaking. If you stay at unit 217a you'll get the corner condo with two side views of the beach! The bedroom, kitchen, and living rooms are very clean. Me being a germaphobic I had no problem staying here. The bonus package you get for staying was every nice too. You will love the walking distance to the beach!
However, nothing is perfect in this world so there were some downside. First the shower curtain has black mold at the bottom something clean people probably didn't see and the shower knob is clear so you can see black mold in it. I hope management is reading this because these two items are cheap easy fix. But mold is the one thing you don't want to see in a bathroom right? Second the free Wifi was very slow. It didn't work when we really needed it. These issues are the only reason why I didn't give a 5 stars.
But I still love Crystal Sands 217a and I recommended this unit to all my family and friends. Will definitely come back to this condo again.

We love Crystal Sands 217a & Newman Daily! Everything was so easy like a home away from home. Beach was wonderful & beautiful. The Cs217 was very clean and comfortable. Our only problem was not enough seating since we were 5 people, there is just a couch & chair w/ottomen. Sleeping plenty of room, actually casual seating not good. But we would recommend to any couple or small family of 3.

We are a repeat customer of Newman Dailey and have always been happy with the service we receive and the accommodations we select. Great views, well stocked kitchen, and clean property. We utilized both the golf and beach service amenities and were very pleased with both services. We did have a problem with a cigarette smell when we first arrived, but this was handled quickly and efficiently. Only one complaint about property, would prefer ceiling fan in bedroom.

We really enjoyed this condo. My husband and I have been to Destin for the past 6 years and usually stay in a high rise condo. This year, we decided to try out a smaller condo. Crystal Sands was perfect. We stayed in room 217 and it was very nice. Location was excellent. The folks at Newman-Dailey were very courteous. Plus, the little extras you get for staying with them were a very nice bonus. Will definitely use them in the future.

We checked in late Sunday evening after the Newman Dailey offices were closed. We went to the unit, began unpacking after a 13 hr car ride and discovered the unit had not been thoroughly cleaned after the previous guests. The sheets on all beds were visibly dirty, the bathrooms were visibly dirty, the floors were not vacuumed at all. It was after midnight before we reached a Newman Dailey representative. We were moved 1/2 mile down the road to the Beachside Inn for a clean night's sleep. It took until the next evening for the unit to be completely cleaned for us. All pillows and sheets and blankets and bed coverings were changed and cleaned. The first night was very rough on all of us after our long drive but Newman Dailey did a great job of making it right. The unit was completely cleaned for us and we were compensated for our first night as well as our cleaning fee. There was damage in the unit to a towel bar and an outdoor chair as well. The hall bathroom sink faucet was loose, all of these things were surprising to us since last year's stay here was wonderful and not a bit of damage to anything. Also the freezer never froze a single ice pop for us this time, and the shower was very very slow to drain, same as last year. We reported these things to ND and were told a work order would go in for these repairs. All in all we enjoyed our stay. We were sad to see all the damage and problems with the unit since our stay last year... It's a beautiful unit and we very much enjoy the beach access and location. We appreciate Newman Dailey's efforts to make our stay as pleasant as possible and right any wrongs we experienced.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crystal Sands (Unit 217). Newman - Dailey was pleasant to work with - check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The only suggestion we have for Unit 217 is to add a large skillet to the assortment of pots and pans.

Average acomodations on the beach. Website said there was a fitness center and gulfside pool, which was not the case for either. Nd very fair in offering a partial refund. Thanks. I will go directly through ND next time instead of relying on website only.

Newman Dailey was extremely helpful in planning our vacation. We enjoyed being right on the beach and there was plenty of room for our family of four. You can't beat being right on the beach with a chair and umbrella waiting for you when you get up in the morning. The building was being re-roofed while we were there, which was not disclosed to us when booking. The sight and sounds of construction aren't too pleasant. We enjoyed the colors and decor in the room. I loved having a washer/dryer to stay on top of the laundry. Honestly, my only complaints on the interior of the home were the lack of lighting in the shower area, missing cords that kept a DVD player from working and lack of free wireless internet. I think those things were pretty small compared to a great time with my family in a comfortable room, right on the beach.

We stayed 3 nights at the Cyrstal Sands in Destin, April 20-23rd. This condo has some excellent amenities, including a spacious living room, a full and 1/2 bath, and full kitchen. It is also located right on the beach, with spectacular views of the gulf. Theh only real drawback is the fact that the units we were staying in were undergoing a roofing project, which was somewhat disruptive and inconvenient. We were not told about this before booking, which may have changed our plans.
Otherwise, the units are conveniently located with plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby in the heart of Destin. Other than the inconvienience of construction, we had an enjoyable experience. -

We travel extensively and generally stay at Marriott. It was our 30th anniversary and we decided to try the beach condo option at Destin after hearing friends and business associates rave about Destin for years.
As we entered our unit at Crystal Sands and looked around our expectations of the accommodations continued to be exceeded. Everything was white glove clean. The bedding was excellent. The kitchen had every utensil imaginable (including a blender for drinks, ice-maker,all pots and pans, dishes, glasses, microwave, toaster, stove/oven etc. everything to prepare any meal). Nice bath... and another half bath!
I kept wondering: "So what's the catch? A place like this would cost me five hundred a night at a resort.
"What do you think?" I asked my wife.
"This is really nice . . . it's pretty," she said looking around at the beach motif, glowing, running her hand across the granite counter top in the kitchen "I like this."
And then . . . we opened the drapes:
WOW!
I mean "WOW!!!"
The balcony right over the most crystal topaz emerald beach in the world put us right over the top. The water and view from this unit is surreal. I haven't seen a beach as nice since we went to Aruba Marriott Beach Club for our 25th anniversary, which since fell in rank to a close second behind our new #1, Newman-Dailey Crystal Sands, with Frenchmans' Reef St. Thomas third.
The service from Newman-Dailey was impeccable. The golf we played at Sandestin Dunes was world class with egrets, blue heron and water views everywhere. And this was all included by Newman-Dailey. There were no hidden costs or fees, not even for the cart!
The Dolphin cruise was utterly spectacular.
We'll be coming back here as long as we are able.

My husband and I had been to many areas in Florida before with our families, but had never been to Destin. We loved the beachfront location of Crystal Sands 217. Listening to the waves at night was very peaceful. We liked eating at Pompano Joe's and Baytowne Wharf. I enjoyed shopping at the Silver Sands outlet mall.

Had the time of my life. The night life offered so many places to go. The resort was more than I expected. It was beautifully decorated. The bed and furniture were all very comfortable. The kitchen supplied every thing we could possibly need. The view from the balcony over looking the water was breath taking. Spent most of our time sitting out there. Just an awesome site to wake up to every morning. Can not say enough good things about our stay at the Crystal Sands resort. Already planning our next stay there.

The service from Newma-Dailey resorts was excellant and they were very helpful, I would rent with them on my next visit. The condo we stayed in was in very poor condition.The pullout sofa bed springs were broke and really couldn't be used and I wouldn't even use the washer and dryer they were in such poor condition.The location was excellant and you could really walk to many stores and food establishments.We liked the location on the beach the best, but We would never rent this unit again. We found several other places near this building for the same or just a little more in price.

The condo, beach, and City of Destin were perfect for my wife and I.
Condo: The condo was perfectly decorated. They have some very
expensive and nice Pottery Barn type furniture throughout the house. The
bed was King with huge pillows and was very comfortable. The shower,
toilets, and all kitchen appliances worked very well (Washer and Dryer are
small, so if you have kids going with you also, you might not be able to
keep up on laundry). The patio furniture on the back porch was among the
nicest at the complex (we looked). The location (an end condo), was
wonderful because the living room area has extra windows and from the
deck you can see in two directions instead of just towards the beach. We
really enjoyed being on the end condo when the afternoon storms rolled in.
the only complaint that we had about the condo was regarding the
television sets. Keep in mind both televisions are flat panel HDTV's and are
very nice, just small problems. The set in the bedroom works great, but is
in a bad spot. If you are on the right side of the bed, you probably cannot
watch it. Moving that television would be a good idea. The set in the living
room is great if you are just watching TV, but if you watch/rent a DVD,
(using Newman Dailey perks) there is a buzzing sound every time a bright
color is on the screen. If it is bright enough, you cannot hear the TV sound,
only the buzzing. It does not happen all the way through the movie and is
probably just a connection problem that someone needs to take a look at.
Beach: The beach and water were perfect. The water was crystal clear the
whole week and the beach sand is very clean. The beach was a very family-
oriented one with only a few groups who did not look or act like they
belonged there. The complimentary umbrella service was great and the
attendants were very nice all week.
Destin: The city is great if you are afraid of running out of stuff to do. There
is always something to do. -

it was really fun , the people at the office were helpful and pleasant . the
condo was comfortable and it's closeness to the beach made our stay even
more special . the condo needs some renovation though and the balcony
can
be staged to be more functional . I would definitely use Newman -Dailey
again
and even stay in the same area or condo . The location was excellent
everything you need for a comfortable stay is within minutes to the condo .
the free movie and tickets to the big kahoona and the race car place were a
clever bonus . I saw newer condos along the same street and beach I may
like to try renting in the future . but I'll also be happy in crystal sands . my
kids enjoyed the bunkbeds in the hallway . I liked how close it was to the
beach . I didn't like that it was a little old . we really enjoyed our stay a lot
the outlets were also a short distance away San Destin and the village there
was a lot of fun . the food in Destin is really good especially the raw oysters
. you can also go for pleasant walks . so much to do in that area the
weather cooperated only 2 days of rain one of the them was the day we
were leaving so it wasn't bad at all . don't know what else to say

My daughter and I stayed at the Crystal Sands Resort it is mananged by Newman Daily Properties. The Condo was very clean and nicely decorated all items in condo worked well. The view was breathtaking. The ocean was in by backyard. I felt safe and comfortable. The location was convenient to restaurants and family fun activites and shopping. The amenties package gave us several free meals and admission to the water park which was great.However my best experience was with Landra Sanders she was our repsentive from Newman Daily.Her expertise and knowledge was very valuable to me. I was traveling alone with my daughter and she thought of many things that ensured our comfort and safety.She listened to me was patience and kind. She is an asset to your company I plan to visit Crystal Sands again and rest assursed I'll ask for Landra

This condo was a none smoking unit. There was a sign that smoking was allowed on the balcony only. When we walked into the unit the stale cigarette smell was overwhelming. We found out later from another tenant that the previous renter had smoked in the unit for the entire time he was there. We called Newman Dailey the day after we got there to let them know about the smell. A housekeeper came and cleaned and that helped only for a couple of hours. We continued to air the unit out the whole week we were there thinking that "tomorrow" it will be better but it didn't help. This situation really negatively impacted our vacation. We feel compensation is in order for what we had to put up with.

We are grateful for all feedback from our guests even when it is not favorable. I sincerely regret that our guest had this experience. We believed the extensive cleaning that was done before this guest's arrival would take away any smell. Unfortunately, it was not enough. We love the Destin beaches and haved stayed at the Crystal Sands several times, it is quiet and family oriented, our condo each time has been lovely. We will probably stay there again.
