We loved our stay. the location was prefect. the apt was beautiful and nicely equipped. we particularly like the code system for the apt. it was much better than having a key. the service was very good. the office and beach personnel were very nice and helpful. we would recommend it to anyone. linda luther

. The condo was in good condition,beautifully decorated, and in a great location.. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the master bathroom floor, but other than that, the condo was clean. The furniture in the living looked great, but was uncomfortable. While we were there, one of the toilet tanks broke in the middle of the night, and we notified the management company first thing in the morning. They responded very quickly and replaced the fixture the same day, with little inconvenience to us. We appreciated that! We also appreciated that the beach service was included with the rental. It made it easier coming back and forth to the beach every day.

The condo was very spacious. The bed in the masterbedroom needs to be replaced. Another family friends and stay down a the floor and we were very surprised/disappointed the 2 units rental price was the same.

Our grown children came down for 4 days and stayed with us. The unit we were in was very nice in decor, facilities and details. We had no complaints about it. We did feel that the people who were there to help us out sometimes were not that helpful and just told us to call or contact the rental company. The wireless internet was inconsistent. But it was generally quiet, well kept, the beach assistants with chairs and umbrellas were helpful.

Overall, I really liked this unit. It's got lots of room (we fit essentially 7 adults very comfortably), interior is nicely decorated (but could use a furniture update in the living areas), kitchen is nice, functional and well stocked, BRs and Bas are very nice, laundry room is in-unit, big and well equipped.
Location is exceptional - just a couple hundred yards down from a 3-mile stretch of undeveloped state park beach. Also, since so close to the state park, it is nestled in a quiet, less-busy corner. It's easy to get into and and out of, and near just about everything. 1 free beach service and contrary to some past reviews I've seen, the property does not allow public use. It is roped off with signs directing non-guests to other areas.
This unit is a great value in its price range. I would definitely stay here again. It would be a "first choice unit" if the furniture was updated (which is the only reason I rated it overall at 4stars).

We loved the fact that an inspector checked the condo after the cleaning crew had left, prior to our arrival. Also liked the fact that there was always someone on duty in the office on premisis.

We had a great week at the beach. The unit was spacious and had great separation between the master bedroom and the other two bedrooms. The Condo facility has a good location with easy access to the main road for shopping, movies, etc.
Pros: Great views; Plenty of comfortable seating in the main living room; Large well furnished kitchen; Beautiful master suite; All bedrooms had their own bath.
Cons: Entry into the condo property was a bit awkward, but not really a problem; Needs a bit more lighting over dining table and in living room; There was no remote for the TV in the living room; Air conditioner outside of the bedrooms in the back of the unit were a little loud. -

This is a lovely location. The beach is relatively quiet, with minimal traffic, and dolphins were playing close to the shore. The unit itself was clean, nicely decorated, with all necessities present. The keyless entry system was much easier than keeping up with keys, the only problem was that we were not given the gate code prior to arrival and had to call to get it. We will definitely choose this rental again the next time.

My wife and I stayed at this unit at Crystal Dunes recently and were very impressed. We loved the decor, the roominess and the location. We really didn't require a 3 bedroom unit but the price was right and this was a special trip for us. We really enjoyed the extra space. We like this area of Destin because it's close to everything, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, you name it.
The maintainance guy (sorry that I can't remember his name) from Canada was great at keeping everything in top shape. The common areas were always clean, the pool and hot tub were in great shape and he was very interesting to talk to. About the only thing I had a problem with was that we couldn't get out the entrance gate with our bikes. The keypad didn't work trying to go out and with only bikes I guess the sensor didn't recognize our presence. A minor glitch in an otherwise great experience. We will definitely stay here again. -

Our vacation included 30 people and we rented 5
condos in Crystal Dunes. Our condo was comfortable
and clean. It included two beach chairs and an
umbrella, which were set up for us on the beach
each morning. We were able to just walk to the
beach and enjoy the day. The condo is located
close to anything that you might need - grocery
stores, restaurants, family entertainment. We
especially liked that the condo complex had a
security gate. We would have preferred a pool on
the beach side of the condo, but ended up not
minding that as much as we thought we would.
Overall, we had a great vacation and really enjoyed
our condo. -

The condo was clean and pleasant and comfortable. The lighting was a definite negative. At night we had to turn every light fixture on to get minimal light in the rooms. The light bulb over the dining table was so dim we could barely see to play board games. The one in the kitchen was so dim I could not see well enough to cook even in the daytime.
Appliances all worked well. We really enjoyed the balcony and view each day and evening. -

Southern Resorts did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. We have stayed at Crystal Dunes several times and really like the loacation and the fact that there are only 30 units in the building and normally the beach is not too crowded. We like being off the beaten path near Henderson Park on a dead end road. Not too much traffic, but still close enough to all the activities. The only problem we had was at the beach. We had 2 sets of chairs and umbrellas. One set came with the room and we paid $120 for the other set for the week. There were people that were not staying at Crystal Dunes that would come and set right in front of us and other Crystal Dune renters. Jeff the umbrella guy would try to make them move, but they would not. It was very rude for them to just set up between us and the water. Most of these people were staying across the road and paying a lot less for their room, but coming on Crystal Dunes beach and blocking our view of the water with their umbrellas. This is the first time we have ever had this problem. If these people want to set up here, they should pay the extra money it takes to stay on the beach instead of across the road from the beach. I hope that the city of Destin can resolve this problem before next summer.

me and my family wanted to jsut get away for the rush of everyday life. so i found cystal dunes on line and it looked nice so i rented it. little did i know that it was perfect!!!! really nice on the inside, great view, very nice people to work with when calling to rent it. the place was close to anywhere you wanted to shop or tour. the beach area is clean and the pool is really nice also. it turely was the get away place we needed. large inside and clean and jsut felt like home without all the work and worries. we didn't want to leave when we did but it was rented out and we knew we had to go but maybe next time we can plan in advance and get it for a longer time frame. it really brought our family back to a peace of mind and time that we needed together.
thank you for your home that made us feel like we were at home. it was really really nice and we had plenty of room.
