  Condo was laid out nicely & tile floor is a plus however a few were cracked and looked unsightly. Carpet is not what one expects at the beach and this carpet looked old, dirty & tired... obvious it had been shampooed often. Although stainless is a nice feature, the frig door makes a poping noise. The design of the kitchen cabinets (cheap) did not permit one door to be opened with out opening both sides. A nuiciance accompanied by lots of banging. We found some canned goods in back of pantry that had obviously been there a while, which indicates that the cleaning crew isn't that observant or efficient. Granite is always nice but a master bath should always have double sinks...couldn't handle that for more than one week. Nice shower. Master bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. No one used the guest bedroom so we kept the door closed. Get rid of those dust collecting faux plants throughout. Weren't those stylish in the late 80's? Overall the condo could use a facelift. Returning the key at 6 am in that contraption of a key pad box was impossible. We had to use a flashlight and still couldn't get the return box open. How about a door mail slot? Simple and effective.

  Basic condo, no frills, needs updating. Door locking system around the grounds is very burdensome---need a special key to go anywhere. Would expect this in Mexico but not Destin.

  The condo pool and gym was really nice. Reserved underground parking spot was appreciated. Unit had fairly standard finishes (no natural surface countertops/basic tile and cabinetry) - but clean and well maintained

  Have been to this Resort several times and Cleaniness is always superior. The amenities make this resort my First Choice. Location is also a factor as is it walking distance to several Restaurants. Walking distance is a key asset as traffic can be hectic at times. Room was very clean & well equipped.

  I'm a pretty tough travel critic when dealing with "property mgmt" companies but was very pleased at the professionalism and courtesy of Compass; Follow-up was very prompt and appreciated on all issues; We decided to stay an extra day and just called up and got the rate we wanted; Checking-in early was a breeze and the unit was ready and clean; Overall, a very pleasant experience with Compass;
  The unit was nice as well; Perfect for a family of 3 for a long weekend; I would recommend it again and utilizing Compass in the future;

  I ad never stayed at Siver Shells before....our unit was absolutely beautiful, and the view of the pool and ocean was terrific. The location was great....right across from Destin Commons. My teenagers LOVED it! Very safe as well. The Compass staff exceded my expectations...very kind and responsive. I will rent with them again!

  The condo was in a great location. The perfect place to stay with a family. Our 3 young girls loved it there. Very clean and not too crowded. The pool was very nice. Everything was wonderful!

  Great Vacation.....but

  The condo was terrific - a little 'pricey' at $1800 for 4 nights all in - but had everything needed/wanted.
  What was not so great was the beach itself. You had to go down the elevator, out the patio, down the stairs, past the pool, all the way to the beach. The water had tons of jellyfish and green seaweed and was basically unswimmable.
  So we paid all of this money for a very trip to a very nice pool. I'd save some money and stay at condo not on the beach and go to the beach when needed.

  Our rental property was fantastic! This was our first time staying in a rental property rather than a hotel and we'll never go back to a hotel! It was better than the pictures.
  
  We have three teenage boys and there was a bed for everyone as well as a TV for everyone!! My boys felt like they were in the lap of luxury with the ocean views and the balcony access from their bedroom. They enjoyed breakfast on the balcony every morning!!
  
  The pool was great and the beach access was so close...the white sand was unbelievable. It doesn't get hot like the sand on the beaches in Texas.
  
  We'll definitely go back!!
