CC202 is a Gulf Front 1 bedroom, 1.5-bath condo that sleeps 6. There is a King in the master, bunks off the main room, and a Queen sofa sleeper in the living room. There is a TV, DVD, and VCR in the living room, and a TV in the bedroom. This is a nicely furnished unit. The property does not have a pool. Unit now has WIRELESS INTERNET(see notes under Warranty info for log in). This unit is also equipped with a washer and dryer.

We come to the Cabana Club often. Can't beat the Cabana Club for the view, location and comfort. It's just the right size too. And there is not a busy swimming pool right in your beach view like so many other condos. Unit 202 met our high expectations and was clean, quiet, and comfortable. One of the toilets stopped up during our stay and one bathroom sink drained slowly. Our service request was answered very promptly and we were called when the plumber could come so that we could be away from the unit if we wanted to. Very nice that we didn't have to wait and open the door for him. The job was done quickly well before we finished a short walk on the beach. Good service. There are good room darkening drapes in the living area (which has bunk beds and sleeper sofa) but the bedroom blinds let in some light. Next time we are bringing sleep masks. We will definitely be back.

When they say "on the beach" they mean it! Overlooking the ocean everyday was absolutely priceless. You have a code to get into the gate that leads you to the deck/walkway that disappears in the soft sand. The beach to person ratio was perfect!! You didn't feel overcrowded in any way. Although the Cabana did not provide an umbrella or chairs for the beach, they were set up ready to be rented by the day or the week every morning by the time you awaken. This is our 2nd year staying here and renting from Dale E Peterson. I called them several times this year because they don't have keys to get into the door but rather a door code and the customer service I received was great! This condo it just a min or so away from Wal-Mart, Target (with a Starbucks!), Bubba Gump, Fudpuckers, Joes Crab Shack, Hard Rock Café, the Gulfarium, and shopping centers. Perfect location!

Chris was very helpful at check-in and responded quickly when our patio screen door locked. We love the location and the second floor view. Although the carpet had been updated the cabinets in the kitchen need to be replaced. The bathroom decor needs attention.

The condo was well furnished with everything to make a more than comfortable stay. The view was excellent. We enjoyed watching dolphins from the balcony. We will definitely stay here again. The location was close to any needed supplies, everything was very clean and nice quality.
The check-in was the easiest we have ever encountered and we travel 4-6 weeks out of the year. -

I was impressed with how easy and accessible it was to tour and rent the condominiums. We enjoyed the first week so much and decided to stay another. The ajents quickly yet accurately referred us to a second property that was available throuhout the remainder of our stay. Each of the units have been clwan and very accomodating and well supplied.

I have stayed at the Cabana Club #202 three times. It has a beautiful view of the Gulf with great beach access. The condo has had a few upgrades since we last stayed which made it all the more enjoyable.

The Cabana Club is in a great location right on the beach. This part of the beach is a bit less crowded and we loved being able to walk right on to the sugar sand! The unit itself was well furnished with a sophisticated feel to it.

Great Location - perfect beach view - easy access to walk down to beach. Large condo - lots of space, clean, nice furnishings - (could use an update) comfy king bed, full kitchen.
Condo has two toilets - neither one were working properly. One did not work at all - the other one ran all 4 days. I called every day to the rental office - was told they would send a repair person - never did! Too bad they did not follow up on this repair as the water ran constantly.
Other than that - great location, lots of shopping, places to eat, very easy to get around Destin.
Nice balcony to watch the sunsets, very quaint condo, not the usual Destin high rise. -

We rented this place for a weekend.
Pros: 1) The place was very clean and organized. 2) Location was perfect (right on the beach). 3) Check-in and check-out process was easy and convienient. 4) Kitchen and bathroom was well equiped with the necessory stuff. 5) The sitting room balconey view was just awosome.
Cons: 1) Queen sofa bed was very cheap quality, no one can fall asleep in this bed. 2) The half bathroom toilet flush was not working (by the way, the maintainance guy came in fixed it in timely fashion) 3) The bunk bed were pretty ok.
Overall, my experience staying at Caban Club # 202 was good and I recommend this place to whoever wants to stay right on the beach. -

We stayed at the Cabana club right on the beach. The condo was wonderful and nicely decorated, plus the view of the beach was perfect! Our only compliant was they were roofing the building during our stay so most of the time the beach access was closed and it was noisy, plus that was the only way to the beach unless you walked a ways to the public access entrance. It is hard to do that with a small child. Luckily, on the end of our second day, the roofers were nice and allowed us to cut through to the beach access (just had to watch for roofing nails). We did call Dale Peterson and express our concern and they offered to move us...but we were already settled and loved the condo. They are going to send us a letter offering a discount, but we still haven't received it yet. Overall, the condo, Dale Peterson, and the beach were wonderful, just wish we had been told that they were roofing (not nice waking up to banging) and that the only beach access on the property was closed. We will difinitely stay there again but will make sure No Roofing is going on.

This was our fist trip to Destin and got more than we ever expected! Our room was in excellent condition with a wonderful view of the beach. The amenities were a great experience as well--we really enjoyed our fishing trip. Our condo was in a great location--not too far nor too close to all the action of Destin Harbor. We enjoyed the quietness and privacy of our condo and beach area. The only thing I would have changed would have been that the jacuzzi in our room did not work properly, but it wasn't really a big deal with the beach so close. It was truly a beautiful and wonderful vacation. We can't wait to go back next summer!

The unit was wonderful! It was exactly like it was described. The location on the beach was perfect. There weren't a lot of people on the beach outside this condo. We liked the private entrance to the beach. We always had a parking spot.
We didn't use any of the amenities that came with the condo. If we had stayed longer, we would have, though.
We've told everyone we know about this condo. When we go back to Destin, we'll definitely try staying here again!!!
The only thing that didn't work were the jets in the bathtub. -

We enjoyed our Memorial Weekend. The King Bed was great. Also, the fact that the bedroom was on the west the sun did not wake us up every morning rising in the east. The rooms were clean and full of extra space.

This is our second stay at Cabana Club. Unit #202 was very clean and so comfortable to stay in! The staff at Dale Peterson Vacations was very helpful and easy to work with. We love these condos because the beach in front is not crowded at all and the atmosphere is very family-friendly.
The only frustration was the people in the unit below us were grilling (illegal!) on their deck and our unit smelled like starter fluid for hours. That unit is not managed by Dale Peterson Vacations, so it was impossible for us to report these people. Maybe there should be a number posted on the fridge for renters to report things like this.
We will be staying here again in the future! -

This is the second time my family have stayed at the Cabana Club. We absolutely love it. The view is spectacular. For the price and the ammenities you get it is an incredible deal in my opinion. If I could only stay in Destin year round.

We arrived on a Friday and left on a Monday morning. We had a group of 5 25-30 year old girls and we had a blast. The apartment is prettier than I expected with a lot more room than I thought it would have. The bathroom has a jet tub and shower in one room and then there was rooms on either side of the bathroom that each had a toilet and sink.
The bedroom had a large closet with a mirror in it, so we were able to all spread out all over the aparment to get ready to go out.
The beach right outside the building is clean and well kept. The balcony looks right out over the ocean and beach and is big enough for us to all sit outside and relax.
A restaurant/bar called The Crab Trap was within a short walk from the Cabana Club. We walked down during the day to get a snack and a couple drinks and they were fine with us coming in with no shoes and wearing our bathing suits.
There is a great night life in Destin, but you would never know it by staying at the Cabana Club. It is nice and peaceful on that end of Destin. We took cabs every night to the West end of Destin to go out.
I cannot wait to go back and bring my husband and kids. I will definitely stay at the Cabana Club again! -

I would recommend the rental to a family of 4 with 2 young kids. The furniture was exceptionally nice but the mattress on the sofa bed was not sleepable so our older child ended up sleeping on the sofa without pulling out the mattress. It was a piece of cloth stretched over hard coils. That was the only real problem. Overall, it was a nice place with a great view and wonderful beach. The beach was very clean and not a bit crowded. We had a great time.

We loved the location of the condo-right on the beach. The unit itself
needs updating. Appliances are all old and don't work very well, The
dishwasher was replaced while we were there, but not till after many
calls from us. The couch sinks to the floor and this makes it very
uncomfortable. The chair desperately needs a footstool. The king bed
is really great--more comfortable than our own. Pots and pans need
replacing too. We stay for six weeks, so these things are important.
We will rent it again if it becomes available because I love being able
to walk around the corner of the building and be on the beach. We
also love watching the water and sitting on the balcony. (Since the
unit is up for sale, we were not able to rent for next year.)

I am sorry you did not find the unit at Cabana Club to your liking. For a similar price you may try Pelican Beach Resort, Gulf Dunes or Island Princess; all properties built in the late 90s. Also, at many properties the beach service does not begin until the season becomes busier around the 1st of April. We hope to have another chance to exceed your expectations on a future vacation.

The unit itself is in a great location, great beach access and that is the best thing about this condo. The carpets and the tile were filthy, I made my kids wear their shoes the entire time we were inside. Also the toilets stopped up and stayed backed up and we had to leave the premises to use the restroom. It took someone 3 days to come out and inspect the problem and even then it wasn't entirely fixed. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone.

Had a great honeymoon here. Totally worth the price. Off season is definately the time to visit! The accomodations were better than we expected.
I would suggest to anyone staying for several days to stock up on grocery items after arriving. You'll save tons on cooking in and it's well suited to prepare a meal.
We visited a larger motel in Panama City the night after leaving Destin, and for what we had to pay for our "room" there - it only made our stay in Destin seem so much nicer.
Destin is definately my choice for Florida vacations!

This was me and my wife's first vacation married we had only been married 6 months when we went on vacation. The rental was great and very peaceful. I really enjoyed how there wasnt that many people on the beach and the view from the balcony was amazing. I would definitely come back.

Cabana Club was a Paradise for me just after Labor Day, just after Hurricane Gustav ravaged Baton Rouge,La. where I call home. I had gone 8 days without electricity or air conditioning in 90 degree heat. Having already rented this condo, I was debating leaving Baton Rouge. It was the best decision I could have ever made! Cabana Club was a fresh breath of Ocean Air, the Roar of the Surf to rock you to sleep at night, and a million stars and a full moon to walk the beach at night. The Air conditioning alone was worth every penny spent there.
I slept and relaxed on the balcony and took long walks on the Beach in the fresh air. The food in Destin is exceptional, and it was so great to just drive down the street with working red lights, and no red light cameras. The Cabana Club in Destin is a true Paradise on Earth, and I will be returning, hopefully for longer stays in the future.

The property is right on the beach and very convenient to shopping and food! It only took us 1 or 2 minutes to get to the Destin Commons and tons of restaurants. There is no pool, however we were fine with that because the property is so close to the water. I would definately recommend this property and hope to return next summer!
