EM201 is a beautiful 1223 sq. ft. 2 bed, 2-bath gulf front property. This tiled unit sleeps 8 with a King size bed in the master bedroom, Queen in the second bedroom, twin bunks in the recessed hallway, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. This unit features 3 TV’s, 3 DVD players and a CD stereo. There is also a washer and dryer in this unit, and also has wireless Internet. This is a nonsmoking unit, with no pets allowed. Parking is limited at Emerald Dunes to 2 passenger vehicles.No trailers, jet skis, RV's or boats are permitted.

Had a great stay, very nice condo. Only problem was washer & dryer didnot work for me. I didn't try to have it worked on, I preferred to get on the beach quicker.

When we checked in, the condo was dirty. The floors were littered with crumbs, dirt, sand, hair, and broken glass. When I called Peterson, I was told it would be tomorrow before someone could come clean it. So we did it our self. The kids bath tub would not drain, so the kids spent the week using our tub. The TVs were so old that the only one that could even play a dvd was in the kids bedroom so we had to move it in the living room. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken and we had to rig it to work. The washing machine lid had to be pried open with a knife. The screen door was broken and laying on the patio floor which we had to move out of the way when we arrived. In addition, Our room was next to admin office and she was very rude. We told her we locked our keys in our car she offered no assistance and walked back in her office and shut the door.

Excellent location. Smaller building allowing lots of space at the beach and pool facilities. Wish the unit had been a little better decorated, and would love to have a larger balcony. But overall it was great!

Plenty of room, but kitchen not stocked very well with utensils. Patio very small. No vacuum cleaner to use to help keep condo clean. Will probably not recommend to friends and family.

Emerald Dunes #201 provided a wonderful home for us. Located right on the beach and convenient to many restaurants and shopping venues. The unit was clean and had an excellent view of the ocean from the balcony. No pots or pans available--so take your own.

Fargo NDbeach vacation fun

Recently my daughter, son-in-law, two grandchildren and I enjoyed a beach vacation at the Emerald Dunes in Destin, Florida. We had such a wonderful time! The condo we rented was right on the beach with a lovely view of the Gulf from our patio. All we had to do was step out the door and walk a few feet to the most beautiful beach. The water was clean, clear and a lovely shade of green blue. The sand was powder white and very clean. Reclining lawn chairs and umbrellas were put out neatly each morning and removed each evening. The condo was nicely furnished with a tropical theme; light airy colors and was very clean and well maintained. Our check-in and check-out went smoothly and people were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return in the future. Destin has a abundance of every type of restaurant and we enjoyed some of the best seafood that could be found anywhere. Wonderful place to visit. Laura

This is the second year we have stayed at the Emerald Dunes property. This is becoming a family tradition. The only negative I would have is the unit this year was not was well equiped with kitchen utensils and flatware as the unit we had in 2008.

Our first impression of Dale Peterson was not very positive. Upon arrival to pick-up our keys the young man that helped us was very abrupt and unfriendly. We also met a woman at the same time who appeared in the office who gave us many restaurant referrals and help with fishing trips. She even gave us her cell phone number if we had any other questions.
The condo we were in was in average condition. Cabinet doors needed fixing, light switches on bedroom lamps were broken, Carpet was worn/unclean. Many spots were unclean and mold under the carpet in the livingroom. Shower in master bedroom had very little water running from it for 4 days.
An information sheet on the refrigerator door listed a workout area on the property that we were unable to locate. We called Dale Peterson office for information and never recieved a return call.
The location was great with a wonderful view of the ocean and much white sand. -

The on-the-beach location in a quiet part of town was outstanding. The response to our requests on a few issues such as noisy entry door, replacement of burned out light bulbs and reestablishment of the heating system was promptly cared for. In both cases, the support staff responded quickly, in a pleasant and effective manner. However, the appearance of the carpeting (worn out), the abused condition of frying pans (teflon surfaces heavily scratched), and very dull kitchen knives detracted from having a most enjoyable stav at this great location.
In general, we had a very enjoyable experience while visiting the Destin area, largely due to the vast array of activities (shopping, dining, and interesting attractions).
If you are seeking an on-beach location at a reasonable price, this would be a good choice. -

Emerald Dunes is a great place to stay for anyone planning to bring the kids along to the coast. It's quiet and small enough that the beaches are not overly crowded like they are at the larger complexes. Great location, close to everything you need in Destin.
The unit we rented was clean, everything worked like it should. The only concern I had was the glass dining and coffee tables- I was constantly worried the kids would break one.
Overall, I was beyond pleased with the unit, complex and the staff at Dale E. Peterson Vacations. Can't wait to go back- already working to pin down dates for the upcoming summer! -

My husband, and two sisters rented this place in August. we were there for the wedding of our granddaughter. It was just the right place and so beautiful. I was showing the pictures to my niece and she said, Are you sure these pictures were not made in front of a back drop. I said NO Way, that is the color of the ocean in Destin and the beach is pure white. Wonderful place for a vacation, wedding, etc. The home we stayed in was so clean and neat, you couldn't ask for a better place.
