Indianapolis IN.Great beach get away vacation.
Left on 03/31/2013 for a stay in September 2012
My wife and I have vacationed in Destin probably six of the past ten years. We have stayed at varioius condos but the Inn at Crystal Beach has become our favorite. While it is pricey the 24 hr check in, secure parking, clean comfortable accomadations and resturant make it perfect for us. In addition the staff has always been warm and helpful.

What a well decorated and enjoyable unit! We will rent it again on our next visit to Destin. There were only very minor, easily accomplished repairs needed and are to be expected on beach property. The whole facility was very well maintained and the staff was courteous and professional.

Birmingham, ALNice, but...
Left on 08/01/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our family was looking forward to a much needed vacation. We have vacationed in Destin for the past 25 years. We are very familiar with the Crystal Beach area and knew that this would be a good spot. However, we were somewhat disappointed. The parking, check in experience, and restaurant were all excellent. The unit was nicely decorated. The furnishings were somewhat worn which included maintenance issues in the master bath. We were unable to enjoy our balcony for most of our stay due to the loud music, talking, and cigarette smoking of several neighbors until early morning hours (1:30 and 3:30 a.m.) for the first 2 nights of our stay. The noise also kept us awake. We also had to leave the pool one evening as a group of teens stood on their balcony and spit into the pool even as we asked them to stop. I reported this to the front desk. As a parent of 3 teens, I did not expect to deal with spring break type behavior at such a nice resort. We paid for Destin, not Panama City. I have since discussed these issues with the manager. He was apologetic and was appreciative of the feedback. I was also offered a discount for a future stay. The beach and weather were beautiful as always. My family enjoyed some much needed quality time together. However, for the price that we paid I expected more out of this resort.

We have stayed at the Inn at Crystal Beach several times. This was our best trip yet. The condo was very tastefully decorated and also very comfortable. The service in the restaurant was the best so far! We will definitely stay here again.

Unit 410 is a very nice, well decorated unit, but it had several minor maint.issues which we presented to the Front Desk when we checked out. I felt that the Pool Deck had not been cleaned in a while, although the water was crystal clear.
We enjoyed the Rest. and the Front Desk was attentive to our needs.
This is the 3rd year in a row that we stayed out of the water because of seaweed and green slime, so we were disappointed, but overall I would say that this was an enjoyable stay. -

Left on 05/25/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This 4th-floor, ocean-front condo was just beautiful. After reviewing all of the rooms online, we felt this one was decorated better than the others and had everything we could want or need. The balcony was spacious with a chaisse lounge and table and chairs for my family of 4 to hang out on at the same time. The view was just stunning with white-powder sand and emerald water and was the most serene experience we'd had in some time. The Inn is centrally located and appears to be the best on the beach. We absolutely loved #410 and were sad to have to leave but we will be back for certain. Stay here and enjoy a little piece of heaven.

The Villages, FloridaVery Disapointed
Left on 11/10/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Let me Start with the good things. The checkin was good as well as the people that work there. We have been coming to this area for 25 years and love the Location & View. We have stayed a a couple Condo's once or twice a year and have stayed in nice Condo's. We saw rented on line, and it was our First time to rent there. The Pictures do not match the Condo, it is older & in need of repair. The MB Dresser had broken Knobs on it, so could not use it. The Closet was full of old Bedspreads so no room to put our things & no hangers in either bedroom closet. The Carpet in the MB was nasty, loose and buckled up where you could trip and fall. The MB the Tub/Shower leaked and it had mold on the wall & tile. The Belcony had a broken chair. Several of the Lamps had been unpluged with missing light bulbs. The Dishwasher did not rince the dishes so I had to wash eveything by hand. I reported the Dishwasher & Bulbs to the Desk on the first day but nothing ad been done, before we checked out.
We paid amost $2,000 for a week there and wanted to ask for a refund the Firts Day and leave but stuck it out because we only had that week. It would be nice to get part of our money back to make this right, then we may come back to another unit next fall. Thnaks, for our time...Deborah -

I have stayed at The Inn at Crystal Beach twice now and will definitely come again. The location is outstanding with shops, theatres and restaurants minutes away. The beach is never too crowded here and very well maintained. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated. I would recommend this resort to anyone...

The overall experience was good but the parking seemed to be a problem while we were there. The pool was really small and not impressive. We've stayed at Waterscape several times and the layout is better for the same price. Room #410 needs more light in the second bedroom and a mirror.

The condo was beautiful and comfortable - just a little over-done on the "decor"...we had to move several silk plants into the master closet to get them out of the way. Other than that - it was a comfortable condo with a great view.

LOUISVILLE , KYwhat you should expect from a rental company!
Left on 10/20/2010 for a stay in October 2010
The inn at crystal beach is in a wonderful location. The beach and beach service is good. Condo 410 is a beautiful condo, lovely furnishings and view.We enjoyed this condo as much as could due to the constant jackhammering above us that went on from 9am until 6PM MON thru sat. If we did not love the beach so much we could not have continued our stay there!!! This is no fault of the condo Owers, but the management of the building is dishonest in renting such a lovely place to visitors without notifying them and suggesting another unit. We talked to the workman who told us he was contracted ahead to do his work above us. When talking to heather at the office prior to our trip, nothing was mentioned about the possibility of such work near our rental that week. No offer was made to us to perhaps switch condos..If we had a child with us or wanted to nap, there was no way to deal with the constant noise. I wonder now if we had asked ahead about any possible noise to contend with..Anyone with this management would have told us!!! No one at the time acted at all concerned with our problem,it was after I left a note about our experience that we were offered a credit & % off any any future rental. Again the condo is great but the integrity of the management is questionable. Carol Okoon, Louisville,KY

Corinth, MSOverall decent.
Left on 09/09/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We arrived very earlier (2 am) Thursday morning and checked in without any problems. Staff was great. Unit was fantastic. Here are some issues you may need to be aware. After arrrving very early Thursday, I was awaken Thursday morning by a member of what I presumed to be the cleaning staff in our unit, unannounced. Apprarently, the deadbolt does not work. I called the front desk and the lady there was very sorry, but I was already awake and startled by then. Thursday night, there was some type of party around the pool at the complex...complete with speakers and microphone. It looks like the instructions in the unit are pretty clear that boomboxes, etc. are not allowed at the pool. Much less, does the pool ever close at night or at least have quiet hours? Then, Saturday night, fireworks were being shot into the early hours on Sunday morning. Like I said earlier, the unit is very nice. However, if management allows this kind of thing to happen, it does damper the peace of the place. We have stayed in the complex before and never had the first complaint. However, I must admit this is not a place I would want to bring a family. Panama City has been known for its reputation as to the party scene, alcohol, etc., but never have I seen it to this extreme in Destin. I hope these issues can be corrected for all involved.

Left on 07/07/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Checkout was great, but afterwards service mgr seemed exhausted throughout although he had been friendly in the past. The main front desk lady was impersonal. Condo was great with much better conditions than last year. I would think there would have been an offer for small refund for the 2 days of tarballs. We go because you have the ellipticals and others do not.

Left on 06/10/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Of course Destin did not disappoint and we had a beautiful wedding but we did not like the new changes to The Inn at Crystal Beach. The 3 bedrooms used to have 3 baths and a bonus room, but not anymore. The 3 bedroom has 2 baths and no bonus room. We also do not like the a & b aspect. You could not get in your condo with first going through an outer door. not crazy about new changes...

Left on 04/28/2010 for a stay in April 2010
We have stayed at this property several time in the past but probably will not return. The property is showing its age to the point it was not pleasant to be in the facility. We noticed every door and metal window was rusty, the carts for taking closes etc to the room were old and dirty. We loved the room itself and the location has kept us coming back.
Sorry I could not have written a more positive review but this is the way both my wife and I feel. -

Left on 04/14/2010 for a stay in April 2010
It was our first trip to Destin and it couldn't have been better. Check-in was easy and we took andvantage of the amenities; the golf, fitness center, chairs at the beach. We ate at the restaurant which had great food and great prices. The location of the Inn is ideal. The beachfront on one side and walking distance to restaurants and shopping on the other. Our condo was very nice, it had everything we needed. We especially liked the coziness of the Inn as compared to some of the bigger high rise resorts we saw in the area. We would definitely go back to Destin and the Inn.

The room was great and clean and felt very much like a home away from
home. Our family will enjoy many additional summers at the Inn at Crystal

benefit.
Only complaint: time flies when you're having fun and 5 nights wasn't long
enough.
See you next year. -

spring texasCondo was nice but....
Left on 06/17/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The condo was nice. We did have to buy extra untensils for the kitchen and a scrubbing sponge for washing the pots and pans. The refrig. needs some repair to the inside shelves. Only two shelves in the door were usable. On the down side, we were disappointed in the new restaurant. No drink service on the beach and food was NOT good. The beach was very crowded with people who were NOT staying at the condo and rudely set up for the beach, blocking our view, directly in front of our umbrella set up which we paid an extra $300.00 for. Some how, the city along with the condo buildings need to regulate the public encroaching on private beach access. We have stayed in this building many times and this year was worse than ever with the crowds. We love the location and we hope to stay here again next year. Even though we had to buy a few things for the condo, we have come to expect those little things. All-in-all, we rate this condo four stars.

Minneapolis, MNVery Nice Condo
Left on 04/29/2009 for a stay in April 2009
410 is a very nice condo, very clean and well furnished. We enjoyed our stay.
The only negative was that we had to furnish our own basic supplies including soap and toilet paper, enough for a week's stay. This was inconvenient. We didn't mind laundering our towels and disposing of our trash. We did not expect daily room service but it seems for a unit of this quality and price that basic supplies could be furnished instead of our having to chase after and buy package quantities more than we could use. There was a small bottle of dish washing liquid which was adequate for the length of our stay and a few packages of dishwasher detergent which were barely adequate. There was one roll of toilet paper and small bars of soap in each bathroom which were inadequate. There was no laundry detergent and no dryer anti-cling sheets which we had to chase after. We left some supplies when we checked out including salt and pepper. If the Inn wants to attract rental customers and serve them well it could furnish a small plastic bag of basic supplies at the front desk on check-in. Failing that, future renters should plan to bring or purchase all of their own supplies. -

It has been a few years since I've been to the Inn and was disapointed to see that the restaurant and shop was gone. We rented a different unit this time and preferred a larger unit.
The beach was well maintained and our stay was pleasant. We'd recommend the Inn to anyone who wants a beautiful view, great beach and good location. -

"Lock-Out Loser"
Charlotte, NCBe Careful
Left on 11/05/2008 for a stay in June 2008
Be careful when you rent here. Don't rent any unit with the term
"lock-out" attached to it. In fact, I'd call the Inn and ask about
the unit. We rented a unit that was a "lock-out" and i had no
idea that it meant it was connected by a breezeway and really
thin doors to another unit. We were happy in our unit until the
other family showed-up to share our unit. We could hear
everything they talked about, we could hear them making
coffee, and pouring cereal. It was ridiculous! We complained
and were moved to another unit that was beautiful. We've
stayed at the Inn at Crystal Beach several times and had never
had this kind of experience. It's a beautiful property with a
great restaurant on site. Stay here, but not in a lock-out unit!
