Good thing we had this great place to stay since the weather wasn't the best during our Destin visit. We really enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and the amenities that Silver Sands has (tennis, workout rooms, indoor pool) unfortunately it was too cold for the outdoor pool. This spacious penthouse is even nicer than in the pictures - beautifully decorated and well maintained/very clean. Each room has it's own bath and balcony - two rooms face the gulf, and two rooms face the north where you can see the bay and bridge. The views of the beach from the balcony and rooftop were wonderful. The staff at Compass Resorts were always helpful - especially Dave. This is a great location for walking on the beach since Henderson Beach State Park is to the east and not many larger condos to the west - it is also convenient to shopping (WalMart, grocery, pharmacy, outlet mall) and many restaurants (we weren't crazy about the Back Porch restaurant which was a short walk down the beach, but love Dewey Destins - the location on the bay has got character-and great seafood). We would love to come back again to this beautiful penthouse. Sandy from Illinois.

The condo was incredible. The view was incredible. We have rented several places during our vacations and this we for sure the nice set place we have stayed. The hot tub on the roof top deck was the perfect way to end the day at the beach. I would recommend this condo 100%! Thank you for helping us have a perfect vacation!

The Penthouse PH3 Condo was wonderful, and our family really enjoyed it. We have stayed at the Silver Shells 3 times before and we always rented a 3 BR, 3 Bath Unit.
The PH3 Unit was ideal for us, with the 4 BR, 4 Baths and all the amenities. -

The Condo was so nice, we had 3 children and 5 adults and it was plenty of room for everyone. Loved the spa on the roof! The pool was a little to cool for me, but the children got in and loved it. The location was so convenient to everything. It was a great vacation memory.

This condominium was first class all the way. From the custom window treatments to the rooftop jacuzzi and terrace, everything was in great working order and maintained beautifully. The people at Compass Resorts were all a pleasure to work with and maintenance was there within a couple of hours when called to change a light on the terrace. The resort itself had great amenities that were also well maintained. I highly recommend staying here. We have stayed at many condominiums in Destin, but this was our favorite by a mile.

We had an outstanding stay in this condo. We go to Destin every summer but had never been in the fall; we went for my husband's birthday. The weather was perfect (lots of sun!) and the condo was spectacular. The kitchen was beautifully appointed and the bedrooms were extrememly comfortable and luxurious, as were the bathrooms. From the incredible decor to the ocean view to the rooftop hot tub...everything was perfect. Thank you for a great experience!

Hardest part of our stay was finding the rental agency to pick up the keys. The address doesn't fit well with the other addresses because it is in another county. Luckily we did finally find it. The second problem we had was working the Flat screen TV in the main room. There were 4-5 remotes left out and we tried them all. After a day of frustration I called the rental agency and they sent someone over the next day. There was a universal remote that ran through the amplifier.It only took the employee a minute to get it to come on. That was a relief for the whole family to be able to watch a movie in the evening.
Then two days later the cable company was scheduled to install a modem for internet connection. They did do their job and left ,but then we were without a TV again. We called the cable company and they came out the next day and installed a new splitter as the one they had put in was a "bad" one.They should have made sure everything was working. The resort says they have wireless internet connection,but it is so slow it would be faster to have dial up.
Other than the TV and the location of the rental place it was a fabulous Condo. Four bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with a hot tub on the roof of the penthouse. Three of my children & SO joined us at the beach and and the two with no children used the hot tub especially in the evening. The location was terrific. It's across the street from two grocery stores and not far from the mall and outlets. We have gone to Destin and the Silver Shells for the last 6-7 years so we are very familiar with the area. The water was fantastic this year. Not as much seaweed and not as many jelly fish . Might be the time of year. The Silver Shells also has a pool and the granddaughter liked that best.
What we liked best :location & furniture was very comfortable. What we liked the least was the fact we couldn't get the Tv to work for a few days. If there had been a booklet on how to use it that would have been helpful. Great Place -

It was a wonderful condominium. Top-Notch! My only inital problem was with the maintenance. There were a few light bulbs burned out and the hot tub maintenance of the chlorine was low. It was clean, but the chlorine was not previously checked. I would recommend this condo and resort.
