Condo rental #303 accommodates up to 6 people with a king in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the guest bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Condo was great, staff nice, getting to condo was a problem.
Condo was furnished and decorated nicely...view great. Too far from elevator...a second elevator should be added at the end of the outside corridor, by the steps. My husband's knees are not up to par, and he was in misery walking the long distances and/or doing stairs. We spoke with other renters on the stairs who were struggling also. Just would make the entire experience more pleasant. Condo was neat, baths were clean, floors needed some attention...feet were black from walking barefoot on them. Perhaps it is between seasons, and time is a problem. A quick sponge map would help though.

It was very hard to leave and go back to our daily routine.
We have been staying at The Islander all but two years since 2000. All of our stays have been outstanding except 2009; the condo had a bad fish smell and housekeeping tried very hard, but could not eliminate the smell completely.
We like the new renovation and the white wood work in unit 303. We also like the view from the balcony better than any we have seen in Destin. Hope to see you next year

Mis-Information
Unit 303 was clean, comfortable and enjoyable.
I had call the Islander office in November, again in December and then on January 2nd and was assured that the New Islander would be ready for the winter guests.
The problem with our stay was that the construction was ongoing when we arrived on January 7th and was still being completed when we left on February 28th.,
We have been winter residents of the Islander for many years and we have made our reservations to return in 2011/2012.

Great condo, love the Islander.
We have been staying at the Islander for 9 years.We have stayed in room 303 the last 3 years. We love that room. Last year we had several issues with management but my husbands uncle(Bill Ryan) owned room 304 and his family stays there so we desided to come back this year. It was a great experience. We will be back next year love room 303 will stay there as long as it is open.

Fall Getaway
What a beautiful month to visit our favorite beach location, Destin!!! This unit definitely stood out from several others we viewed online. The beautifully updated main living area is decorated exquisitely, and welcomes you to the beach! The view from the balcony is mesmerizing!!!!!! We had a great time with great weather, and would recommend this unit to others.
