Peaceful!

The Islander is a wonderful condo complex and we plan on returning next year. Our condo, unit 307, was wonderful! Clean, updated, and perfectly situated for looking out onto the beach. If you are looking for a great place to sit and watch the waves, you've found it. The unit had everything we needed to spend an unfortunate few days of heavy rain. It's convenient to both the beach and shopping! The condo staff was friendly and helpful. They were eager to assist and make sure you had a wonderful stay.
I give it an excellent rating!

Once upon a Vacation

A vacation usually comes around only once a year. A time everyone looks forward to a little rest, relaxation and lots of fun. This is exactly what our vacation was once again this year. The Islander is clean, comfortable and has a very accomodating and gracious staff.

We stayed in Room 307 this year and will probably try and book this room again next year. The room is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen area has all the basic utensils and applicances needed for quick meals.

All in all, we had a wonderful vacation and was disappointed to leave. We are already making plans for next year and looking forward to returning!

I have looked around at different places to stay and to experience,,but have always ended up booking our stay at the Islander..great location,,remarkable staff,,rooms clean and well supplied..I will always book my stay at the Islander...thanks for the great memories...Sandy

Relaxing on a beautiful beach front property.

This is a tourist town. However friendly, clean and easy to drive. Beautiful beaches with lots of places to go and things to do. They also have lots of restaurants available of all kinds. If you drive I would suggest packing all neccessary items. The grocery stores especially were not as well stocked. But who wants to worry about grocery shopping. A great place to relax and have fun in the USa. What a Great Country!

Islander weekend

Our stay at the Islander was very pleasant. We were in Destin to attend a soccer tournament, so much of our team was staying at this site. We found the accomodations perfect for our family of 4, but could use a little updating in the bathroom for example. Unfortunately, we found that the beaches have eroded terribly in the past few years, but was told that there are plans to rebuild the beach very soon. Also, we like staying on Holiday Isle as it is off the main strip and traffic.

Beautiful Family Memories!!!

Our stay at the Islander in Unit #307 was an amazing experience! It was our first trip to Destin and Holiday Isle. We walked in the unit and immediately felt at home. We enjoyed several evenings in cooking and the unit offered all the amenities that we needed. Also the size of the unit is spacious and added to our enjoyment watching movies on the DVD, sitting on the balcony playing cards. Also, this unit has an amazing view of the pool and ocean so we enjoyed many mornings and eveings just relaxing and taking in the scenery. The Islander as a whole is wonderful "family friendly" community and we plan to come back next October! Thanks for the Memories!!!

Good but have had better beds! and more beach!!

We have been coming there for 4 years. We love the area and complex we have stayed in. Service people very helpful. Pool is kept clean as well as grounds.

Beds were extremely hard. Wife ended up sleeping on a plastic pool raft to get any sleep. My head hurt every morning from to hard of bed.

Very concerned on how much beach is left. People on top of people is not our idea of vacation. If beach is not reclaimed we will look elsewhere.

A Vacation to Remember

This was most definitely a truly wonderful experience. The rates are very affordable provided you visit before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. We took advantage of their great vacation special which included one free night when you stayed a minimum of three days. This is definitely a great place to stay if you have children as the environment is very much family oriented as they don't allow young adults under 25 to stay without a parent. The website for the Islander resort in Destin, Florida lets you view each rental unit and gives accurate descriptions of when the unit was updated. You can also check the availabilty of each unit. I would definitely recommend the "Gulf Front" units as they offer a spectacular view of the Gulf. The white sand beach and emerald green water are amazingly beautiful. The units are all well maintained and exceptionally clean and comfortable. This was our first stay at the Islander and we were so impressed we already made reservations for a six night vacation in May,2009. The Destin area is also a wonderful place for shopping and dining. We vacationed in Florida many times in the past, but we wanted to visit a different area and this is by far our favorite location. The Islander resort in Destin, Florida will definitely be a vacation to remember for a liftime.

Holiday Isle- Destin Beach FL

The room overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and is a short walk to the beach. The room was spacious and tastely decorated. The kitchen is fully equipped, just bring the groceries. There are 2 pools, a tennis court & a nice area to BBQ. I will probably stay here again this summer.

Altogether, we enjoyed it. We are trying to find another place to stay that has complimentary beach chairs this year. May be if the customer is stayign a week, you might consider it in the package.
