This beach front vacation condo rental is located in Destin, Florida, along the Emerald Coast. Condo rental # 313 accomodates up to 6 people with a king in the master bedroom, a queen in the guest bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. A Pack and Play is also available in the guest bedroom closet, for our smallest guests. Destin's white sand beach is just steps away, with a beautiful view from your private balcony. I have rented at the Islander for 28 years! The room we rented was not ready at 1:00," check in is 3:00 "!!! The unit was not rented the week before, I was checking on line! I check out before 8 am a week later, so I'm not getting anything extra!Front desk be more flexable and friendly! This was not the first time I was treated this way.

The condo was very clean and well furnished! The beds were comfortable and big! The staff was very friendly as well as the other guest staying at the islander. The beach was gorgeous! We will be coming back yearly!

Everyone at the Islander was extremely pleasant especially the lady on duty the evening of august 7 who helped our boys with tennis. The Islander has everything a family could need for a very nice vacation. This unit in particular was very nice, clean and everything was in working order. Only one thing I would say negatively was the master bedroom bed probably needs to be replaced. You definitely roll to the center. As far as the Islander in general, there is one improvement I would make. You advertise that there are 2 beach chairs and an umbrella with each unit, however, there is no way to supposedly reserve a beach set and basically there are none left by 8 a.m. The beach boys were reserving groups of chairs, all on the first couple of rows which I was told could not be done. You might look into that. They also were not too nice about you sitting in the "wrong" place even though who could tell? I would suggest putting brass tags on two chairs/umbrella with the room numbers on them. That would solve a lot of problems down there. Overall, very nice stay - even with all the rain!

We arrived couple hours early. Went to check in and I was told that I'm early."It will be a while you are early". The unit had not been rent the past week (looked online). I wish they would have worked a little harder to make us feel welcome. We been coming to the Islander for over 26 years.

The condo was more than adequate for us. The service we received from every dept. was exceptional. We found the area to have great golfing, beautiful beach, great food, and shopping but the traffic is the primary reason we will probably not return.

Very nice complex..tastefully decorated and quiet. Grounds beautifully landscaped and manicured. The pools were very nice as well as the Bar B Q gazebo. The beach service was great as Nathan (beach guy) made our experience daily at the beach a very pleasant one.

The unit we stayed in was lovely. Very clean, organized, great view of the pool. There was even a boogie board the kids enjoyed playing with.

The Islander was located close to everything we needed, shopping, entertainment, food, etc. The service was great, shopping carts for loading & unloading vehicles is a great idea. I love the towell swap availablitity, and have never stayed where beach chairs was added at no cost (but tips to the beach help). The Karaoke was a blast, even for the kids. The only thing that bothered me was the charge for ice, most places will provide ice with the stay so it was odd that there was a $3.00 for a request for a small cooler of ice, not that big of deal just seemed odd.

The service we received at The Islander was top notch! However,we had a problem with reserving the tiki grills.My husband went to the front desk @ 7:15am the morning of and wrote down our unit# (which is the way you go about reserving the grills)and when it came time to start grilling someone else had started cooking so I went to the front desk and was told they signed up the day before!I explained to the lady we were told to reserve the morning of the day you wanted to use them and she said,I'm sorry I've only been working here three weeks and didn't know the procedure!So therefore we were out of luck. As for the condo it was very neat and clean,had everything we could possibly need.Excellent location very centrally located.The beach chairs and umbrella set-up each day was so nice(which is free of charge).We all loved relaxing out on the beach and by the pool.We are looking forward to our next stay there!

Fast, smooth, and friendly check in. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Very clean and roomy apartment. The entire complex very clean, maintained, with pools, grilling area, and other sports facilities. Close to restaurants, stores and attractions.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Islander during the Memorial Day Weekend. The staff was very couteous and profesional. The Islander was a "Home away From Home", great amenities, close to shopping centers, and a wonderful clean facility and beach area. I recommended the Islander Resort to all my friends and family. Enjoyed it so much, made a reservation to return for the 4th of July.
