  Silver Shells property is awesome. Great beach, pool, and fitness facility. This rental unit is nice. Some minor issues with mildrew in air conditioning, refrigerator not cooling well, and master bedroom door sticking.

  The beach and resort were nice but not the condo or service.

  We have stayed at Silver Shells several times and have always enjoyed it. However this time we stayed in a different building. Upon arrival we found all the screens in the condo torn or completely broken. We called Compass to report the damage so we would not be charged. They said they would record and send someone out the next day for repairs. We were there 5 days and no one ever showed up for repairs. In fact we never heard from anyone the remainder of our trip. We felt like they told us what we wanted to hear and then ignored us. In addition we couldn't use the jacuzzi tub because black chunks kept coming out of the jets. Since they didn't listen to us about the screens we didn't bother to report this. We were sure we would get promises that wouldn't be kept.
  
  When we dropped our keys off at the end of trip they simply said thank you.
  
  I am sure we will stay at Silver Shells again but not this condo and we will probably go through the management group we had used in the past.

  Compass Resorts would like to sincerely apologize for the lack of follow up on the screen issue. We should have addressed this issue prior to this guest’s arrival and most certainly after having the benefit of a phone to us regarding the issue. Please be aware that we would never intentionally ignore a service request from our guests. We simply dropped the ball on this one and failed to respond to this request. It is regrettable that we didn’t get a chance to address the black chunks. While I can respect this guest not calling us and the reason, I am confident based on our overall company service effectiveness that we would have addressed the issue promptly and likely addressed the screens as well as a simple reminder for a task we had overlooked would have been greatly appreciated. We would like to extend the Collins family our apologies and an invitation to return as we would appreciate the opportunity to provide the service they expected and deserved.

  My wife, two children (ages 6 and 4) stayed in this condo with another couple and their 7 year old child. The room was great, clean, and had an awesome view of the ocean, and main pool. In room WiFi worked great. We did have a hard time locking the sliding door to the main balcony, and the secondary balcony had a screen that was loose, but otherwise we had no issues at all with this room. There were other rooms with occupants around us, but we never heard them while in the room. We would definitely stay in this unit again if given the chance and would recommend it to others.

  Silver Shells St.Croix#1403 is a very nice high rise condo with great amenities and a great view!!! The one thing I would like is (2) chairs and an umbrella with the condo rental. Great area, centrally located.
